WILSON, Mary Catherine (nee Serpell) In loving memory of Mary Catherine Wilson (nee Serpell), 56 years, of Sudbury, who passed away suddenly Sunday, February 16th, 2003 at her residence. Born in Sudbury she grew up in the local outlying INCO towns including Creighton, Murray Mine, Garson and Levack. She married Glen Wilson in 1975 in Sudbury. Prior to the birth of her daughters she worked in a medical office. A Roman Catholic she belonged to Holy Redeemer Church. She was a gifted cook who was a true connaisseur of excellent cuisine. Although she kept her recipes "Top Secret" Mary Catherine was happiest hosting family dinners and gatherings. She was a friend and caregiver to numerous children over the years who were very precious to her heart. Mary Catherine was loved by everyone; missed by all; forgotten by none. She will be remembered as a caring, loving, understanding, warm hearted and patient wife and mother who was everything to her family. Beloved wife of Glen Wilson of Sudbury. Loving mother of Melissa (friend Denis) and Meaghan both at home. Cherished daughter of Mary (Hennessy) Serpell of Sudbury and the late Roy Serpell predeceased. SYLVESTRE, Lucia Passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord, on February 16, 2003, at the age of 88 yrs. old. Predeceased by her loving husband Raymond and brother Elie. She is deeply loved and will always remain in the hearts of her children and their spouses, Rose-Marie and Chuck, Louise and Madis, George and Rachael, Therese (Teddy), Adrien and Annette, Maurice and Sharon and Bernard. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren who were very special to her: Jeffrey, Patrick, Tina, Eric, Julien, Justin, Jules, Maria, Pio, Paolo, Melissa, Andrea, Brent, Melanie, Brandon, Courtland and by her great-grandchild Gaebrielle. Lucia was artistic and creative and she will always be remembered for her sense of humour, kindness, generosity, her grace and hardworking nature. Throughout her life she was sustained by a strong christian faith and a great love of music as an avid pianist. As a young woman, Lucia studied piano and later gave piano lessons from her home. She was the organist for St. Joachim Parish for over 30 years. A devoted wife, loving mother and great-grandmother, she will be missed more than words can express. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for their care and compassion to Lucia during her stay at the following care facilities: Chez-Nous Lodge, Leamington Hospital. LaChaumiere, Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus and Western Campus (Complex Care), Villa Maria and Hotel Dieu Hospital. Visiting Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 2-5 and 7-9pm. LADERACH, Lilian Edith Ellen August 21, 1907 February 17, 2003- At native of Peterborough for her entire life, Lilian is survived by her son Fred of Peterborough, and daughter Germaine Holden (Hal) of North Vancouver, B.C. and grandson Kent Holden (Kim) of Indianapolis. She also leaves her cousin Peggy Brownscombe (Jack) of Peterborough. She was predeceased by her husband Otto and grandson Bruce Holden. Lilian devoted many years to community service and St. George’s Anglican Church. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her quick wit and her positive outlook on life. CHARPENTIER, Mrs. Theresa (Perdue) (nee Hayes) - Peacefully on February 14, 2003. Theresa, born in Douro on November 23, 1921, passed away at Marycrest. Theresa is survived by her daughter Betty Simonson (Lloyd) of Woodlands Manitoba, grandchildren Eric (Michelle), and Lynea (Chris); her sister Agnes, her brothers Bill (Pauline) and Leo; brother-in-law Linc, sister-in-law Betty and many nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by her parent Will and Angie (O’Grady), her sister Lil, her brothers Joe and John, sisters-in-law Cecelia, Leona, and Doris and brother-in-law Earl. A very special thanks goes out to the caring staff at Marycrest, and an extra special thanks to her selfless and caring niece Patricia Collins for all her tireless care and attention these past few years.
