PERRAS, Joffre Camille In loving memory of Joffre Camille Perras, 87 years of Sudbury, who passed away Friday morning, January 31st, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Sudbury and married Joyce (Laplante) in 1941 in Sudbury. A life resident of Sudbury Joffre had been a first aid man at INCO for several years moving to the General Safety Office where he worked in the compensation dept. retiring in 1978 with 43 years service. During his time at INCO he had organized numerous safety competitions. A longtime instructor with St. John’s Ambulance he had received two awards from the Priory of Canada Order Roll in 1967 and 1979 for his outstanding contributions to the local corps. A proud Canadian he had served in the RCAF during WWII. A devout Roman Catholic he attended Christ the King Church where he often assisted in serving at the mass especially with funeral liturgies. Always quick to help others he had been a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the Soup Kitchen. In younger years he played competitive hockey. He had a great love of music and he was an accomplished violinist. He enjoyed sing songs with his family. He was a keen blueberry picker, a good boat builder and an avid hunter enjoying many years of comraderie in the 308 Hunt Club. Joffre will be remembered as a determined man who shared his opinions with an inspired passion. He was devoted to his family who he leaves a rich legacy of love, faith and goodness. Beloved husband of Joyce (Laplante) Perras of Sudbury. Loving father of Richard (wife Martina), Philip (wife Cathy Donnelly), Rosemary (husband Wayne Smith), Cindy Stewart (friend Wayne Ricciuto) all of Sudbury and the late Joyce predeceased 2001. MME SUZANNE ST-JACQUES née le 20 avril 1956 à Timmins, Ont. Anges et licornes lui tendent la main en ce mercredi 29 janvier 2003. Héroïquement, Suzanne a combattu la maladie et maintenant, en toute grâce et dignité, elle rejoint ses défunts bien-aimés qui l'attendent. Dans cet arc-en-ciel, assise auprès de ses licornes, elle penche paisiblement son regard vers nous sans plus de malaise et de souffrance. Suzanne, précédée par son père Rémi, laisse dans le deuil sa mère Noëlla; ses frères: Richard (Sandra), Michel (Priscilla) de Timmins, Gaëtan, André, Roch (Francine) et son unique soeur bien-aimée Lynn (Jacques) tous résidents de Gatineau, Qué. Suzanne quitte ses nièces et neveux adorés: Jennifer, Jonathan, Eric, Ashley, Nicolas, Jacob et Mélissa; et son grand ami Pete, ainsi que plusieurs tantes et oncles, cousins et cousines et amis qu'elle chérissait. Elle laisse un vide dans le coeur de ceux et celles qui l'ont côtoyée. LABBE Noella (nee Larose) 1932-2003 It is with great sadness we announce that our mother passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 30, 2003 after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Noella was born November 5, 1932 just outside of McCord, Saskatchewan where she grew up. She married Al Labbe April 14, 1952, moving to Calgary in 1954. Mom always thought of others before herself, even to her dying day. She was a very giving person. Family, by far, was the most important aspect of her life. She was always there for others, whether it was her own family or a new friend. Noella is survived by her children, Ron (Dodie) of Winnipeg, Vic (Linda) of Airdrie, Paul (Coleen) of Calgary, Lorraine (Ralph) of Calgary, Roger (Sherry) of Bearspaw, Mona (Kermit) of Calgary; nineteen grandchildren and numerous other relatives across Canada. Noella has gone to join her loving husband Al, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, three grandsons and other loved ones and will be sadly missed by those left behind. Robert F. "Bob" Gabel 1938 - 2003 SHEDIAC, NB - Robert F. "Bob" Gabel, 64, of Main St., Shediac passed away suddenly on Friday, January 24, 2003 while vacationing in Dillon, South Carolina. Born in Woodstock, December 14, 1938, he was the son of the late Donald Gabel and the late Léola Lovely. Prior to retiring, he was a machinist with C.N.R. Main Shop between 1964 to 1988. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #33 in Shediac. He is survived by his wife, Jeannine (Fougère) Gabel; one daughter, Colleen Gabel (Jeff Weir) of Toronto, ON; one son, David (Ginette Bourque) of Shediac; a brother, Charles of McAdam; two grandchildren, Danika and Kimberly; a sister-in-law, Hilda Léger of Fredericton; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Martin's In The Woods Church, Shediac Cape on Monday, February 3, 2003 at 2 p.m. Interment in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shediac.
