Mickie proudly served her country as a Leading Canadian WREN in World War II, based in London during the blitz. There is no funeral home visitation. Époux bien-aimé de Denise Perreault (née Lavoie) de Guilletville. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants, Josée Perreault-Doudard (époux Edmond) de Sudbury et Isabelle (ami Sean Lachapelle) d’Ottawa. Beau-frère de Laurent Lavoie (épouse Gisèle) de Sydney River, Nouvelle-Écosse, Rosaire Lavoie de Burlington, Carment (époux Raymond Dutrisac) de Blezard Valley, Yvon Lavoie (épouse Diane) de Garson, Thérèse (époux Paul Marshall) de Barrie, Juliette (époux Serge Gaboury) de Guilletville et Michel Lavoie (épouse Julie) de Sudbury. Lui survivent également son beau-père, Maurice Lavoie (épouse Blanche prédécédée) de Guilletville. Ainsi que son grand ami, Allan Boulé de Montréal. Cher grand-père de Jean-Loup et Benjamin. Un homme jovial, Robert Perreault était bien connu et aimé de la communauté sudburoise. De par son entre-gens et sa bienveillance à l’égard de ses semblables, Robert faisait jaillir de nous, nos plus belles qualités. Plusieurs se souviendrons de lui pour ses 36 années comme animateur à la radio CFBR et par la suite CHYC FM. Son émission du matin semait l’entrain et le govt de bien débuter la journée. Ses collègues de la radio gardent des plus beaux souvenirs de son émission de Jour de l’An ou Robert entrait en studio lui-même, pour aminer l’émission très populaire. Dans sa vie privée, Robert chérissait sa famille et y trouvait beaucoup de joie. Il cherchait à incluquer à tous, l’importance de la famille, le noyau de la société. Peu de gens sauront cheminer paisiblement la route tracée par Robert Perreault. La famille a reçu parents et amis à la COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE 222 boulevard Lasalle E. Il était le cher frère de Ghislaine (feu Rolland H. Gauvreau), Claudette (Gustave Biron), Jacques (Lise Vaillant), Roger (Julienne Bertrand) et Suzanne (feu Léopold Péris), tous de Hull. Il fut prédécédé par 3 frères: Emile, Gilbert (Monique Brazeau) de Gatineau et Jean-Claude (Diane Tremblay et son conjoint Denis Leblanc) de Masham, ainsi que par 1 soeur, Madeleine (Guy Gauvreau) de Hull. Il laisse également plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-soeurs, neveux et nièces, ainsi que ses nombreux amis. DUNN, RAYMOND JOSEPH The death of Raymond Joseph Dunn of Fredericton, and formerly of Chatham, husband of Margaret (Dollar) Dunn, occurred on Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Redmondville, he was the son of the late William and Annie (Sullivan) Dunn. Mr. Dunn was employed with the Department of Transportation in Chatham for 22 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Marysville, and enjoyed carpentry and dancing, especially at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Joseph Dunn of Chatham; three daughters, Marie Welling (Walter) of Shediac, Georgina Hallett (Wade) of Hanwell, and Sadie Gardiner (Orile) of Perth Andover; a step-son, George Hanson (Millie) of Fredericton; two step-daughters, Christina Hanson of Cranbrook, BC, and Lorraine Bowland (Robert) of Saint John; a brother, Thomas Dunn (Jeanette) of Saint John; five grandchildren, Colin Hallett, Keith Hallett, Ernest Gardiner, Elaine Gardiner, and Aaron Gardiner; four step-grandchildren, Bruce Dibblee, Trevor Dibblee, Ashley Hanson, and Tina Hanson; a step great grandchild, Morgan; sisters-in-law Nellie Dunn and Anna Dunn; and several nieces and nephews. JORDAN, GOLDIE LEVINA The death of Goldie Levina Jordan of Fredericton, wife of the late Cecil Jordan, occurred on Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born in Millville, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Ethel (Crawford) Hayes. Goldie enjoyed reading the Bible, and looking at the flowers in her garden in the summertime. She was Pentecostal by faith, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Goldie is survived by her son, Orick Hayes of Fredericton; grandchildren Marvin Hayes, Orick Hayes Jr., Edward Hayes, Allen Hayes, Sally Costain, Mary Leighton, and Rosalee Hayes; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Goldie was predeceased by brothers Albert, Bill, Hanford, and Jess; and by a sister, Iva Good. Garnet W. McMackin Garnet Wayne McMackin, 51, of Morgan Drive, Salisbury passed away Tuesday December 31, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital following a sudden illness. Born at Fawcett Hill he was a son of the late Abe and Ruby (Killam) McMackin. Garnet was a twenty five year employee of the now Jordan Life Care Center were he was employed as a custodian. He enjoyed stock car racing and helped as a pit crew member at River Glade Speedway and liked camping with family and friends and bowling in Petitcodiac. MEADE, LAURA, E. - Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, December 30th, 2002, Laura Emmaletta (Nichols) Meade, of Quispamsis. Born in West Saint John she was the youngest child of the late Thomas and Amanda (Peckham) Nichols. Laura was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Earle, in June of this year. She owned and operated Meade's Store in Quispamsis for many years, retiring in 1982. She and Earle were founding members of Quispamsis United Church, a former Sunday School Teacher, honorary Den Mother of Quispamsis United Church Cub Pack as well as various other church affairs. Laura also enjoyed 30 years at their "camp" enjoying the beautiful Saint John River at Gagetown. She was named Citizen of the Year of Quispamsis in 1982. Laura was a very quiet person who had a wonderful sense of humour. Her favorite hours were spent knitting for her grandchildren and looking after her two cats. She will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Laura is survived by her son Thomas (Barb) of Long Reach and granddaughters Betsy (Halifax) and Jill of UNB Fredericton, Bob (Anita) and granddaughter Shannen of Upper Golden Grove, one daughter Jane (Bob) St. Thomas and grandson Jason of Daws Hill, England. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Laura was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being predeceased by her siblings, Pearl Trecartin, Marion (Pic) Redmond, Robert Nichols and Waldo (Nic) Nichols. PITT, W. RUSSELL - The death of William Russell Pitt, of Ridgewood Veterans Wing, husband of the late Florence E. (Long) Pitt, occurred on Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at his residence. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Douglas B. and Laura (Capen) Pitt. Mr. Pitt was a veteran of World War II, serving overseas in England, Holland and France, with the Royal Scottish Regiment and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He worked for Dominion Store's for over 35 years, retiring as Produce Manager. Russell enjoyed camping, playing cards and darts and was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by three sons, William Brian Pitt (Susan), Russell David Pitt (Heather), both of Saint John and Richard Kevin Pitt (Cheryl) of Winnipeg, one daughter, Suzanne Irene Ferguson of Saint John, six grandchildren, Lori Lee, Jennifer Susan, William Jacob, Kimberly Suzanne, Mark Timothy Donald and Nickolas Russell, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. (1926-2002) Peacefully in Ste-Agathe, on December 28 at the age of seventy-six, after a short illness. Loving and devoted mother of Samuel Stepanovitch and Mercedes Tetrault and mother-in-law of Donald Keeping, proud grandmother Babu to Ashley and Daniel (DJ) and grandmother Mummy to Sandra and Samantha, great-grandmother to Mykell, Christopher and Asia. Daughter of the late Samuel Veleky and the late Sophie Bryl, sister of John (Monique) and the late Michael (Yaraslawa), aunt of Michael and Terry. She will also be missed by the Keeping Family, other family and friends. As per her request, there will be no service.
