BRUNELLE, Glenn Patrick Peacefully, at home on May 12, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 47. For the last 11 years, Glenn embraced a life blessed with much love, joy, laughter, and wisdom alongside Julie Kendall. He was the very proud father of Tracey Brunelle of Windsor, and much loved pepe to her daughter Ainslie Elizabeth. Beloved stepfather of James Kendall, at home. He leaves behind his mother Betty (Benoit) Brunelle of Tecumseh, and her friend Bob Jacques. Glenn has reunited with his father Andy (1995) and his sister Gail (1989). He will be greatly missed by his cousin and best friend Art Lavack, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Dear son-in-law of Evelyn Kendall of Chatham. Dearest brother-in-law of Rod and Patti Butson of Blenheim, Alan and Sheila Kendall of Windsor, Rick and Bev Kendall of Washington, Glen Paul and Marie Kendall of Woodstock, and Donna Mazerolle of Chatham. FORTIER, Norval Joseph (Doc) 89 years. Died peacefully May 12, 2002 at Hotel Dieu Hospital. Formerly of Bridge Ave. and Kensington Court. Devoted husband of the late Nelita "Rita" (1996). Loving father Cecilia Ann DesRoberts-Monforton and Darlene Nelita Kelly. Dear father-in-law of the late Yvon DesRoberts (1995), Gerard Monforton and Patrick Kelly. Dear papa of Mark DesRoberts and his wife Heather, David DesRoberts and his wife Jennifer and Brendan and Anne Kelly. Great grandpa of Sebastien, Isabella, and Julia DesRoberts. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Doc joined the Windsor Police Force in 1942. Retiring as a Lieutenant (Inspector) of the Criminal Investigation Bureau in 1973. He continued working for the Essex County Sheriff's Department and as a Chief Test Inspector at the Windsor Raceway finally retiring at theage of 79. He was life member of the Windsor Police Association and the Ontario Police Association. Until his death Doc was the oldest surviving member of the Windsor Police Force. Jessie served the Sudbury Board of Education as a dedicated Elementary School Teacher for 37 years and taught at Churchill Public School for the majority of her teaching career. Harold "Baldy" retired in 1984 from the Ministry of Transportation after 36 years of service. He served in the Algonquin Regiment during WWII in Holland, Denmark and France. He recently was awarded the "Medal of Remembrance" from the Dutch Canadian Legion for his role in the liberation of that country. Harold was also the recipient of the "Jubilee Medal" in 1977, commemorating the 25th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. This medal was given in recognition of his contribution to the community. (nee Riddle) Grateful for the gift of her life and the many blessings it bestowed upon us. Norma's family announces with deep sadness her passing on Sunday May 12, 2002 at the Willett Hospital, Paris after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer, in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late Stewart Howard (1997) and devoted mother to Barry and his wife Cheryl of Carleton Place; Deborah Bannerman and Don (1999) of Cambridge and her husband Dennis Souder. She is the very proud grandmother of Katie Ann Devereux, Sara Jane and Molly Anne Bannerman and sister to Pauline Woodcock. Norma was a member of the Moyle Women's institute for many years and spent many years on the Paris Fair Board. She was a member of Paris Presbyterian Church, the WMS Fidelis Guild and Helen Young Missionary Group. Norma enjoyed her community life and being a caregiver and supporter to many of her friends, neighbours and family. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and from 12 to 1 p.m. on Tuesday followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Paris Presbyterian Church, 164 Grand River Avenue, Paris.
