Peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 24, 2001. Beloved husband of fifty years of Antonietta. Cherished father and father-in-law of Sebastiano, Maria and Adriano Patone, and Giulia and Richard Marshall. Adored and much loved Nonno Pino of Andrea, Viviana, and Stefano Patone. He will be sadly missed by his family in Italy, relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Centre Hospitalier Angrignon, Pavillon Verdun for their care and compassion. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à la Maison provinciale 60, rue Saint-Henri Rivière-du-Loup le dimanche 25 novembre, de 19h à 21h30, et le lundi 26 novembre de 9h à 16h. La messe des funérailles sera célébrée le lundi 26 novembre à 16h, en la chapelle de la Communauté, et l’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. Marion Isobel Brackenbury, beloved wife of the late Ronald Toone, dearly loved Mum of Elinor (Ian) McRae of Almonte, much loved grandma of Cathy of Almonte, Lori of Pakenham and Kim (Jeff) of Almonte. Dearly loved great-grandma of Ryan McRae and Scott, Bryan, Erin and Katie Hawkins. Sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Edith Brackenbury, Margaret Ford and Muriel Taggart Perry and her many special nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her five brothers and sisters, Gordon, Elva, Ruth, Earle and Easton. Her devotion to her career of teaching and her service to Care Canada brought her much joy and many friendships. She was predeceased by her husband William Willis Milton (Willie) Hull and her parents Robert and Irene Davidson. She is survived by her two brothers Orville Davidson (the late Inez nee acres) of Ottawa and Alvin Davidson (Arlene nee Carr) of Morrisburg. Madeline Lough passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on Thursday November 15 2001 surrounded by her family. "Maddy was a sweet, loving, wonderful person, enriching the lives of all who knew her. She was strong, brave, feisty and independent, with a quick wit and wry sense of humour. She did many things over the course of her life, always learning and never afraid to try something new. When stricken with cancer in her fifties, she refused to give up and in fact, she fought the disease for over twenty years. Maddy was not the kind of woman who complained, nor did she invite sympathy or pity. Instead, she took life as it came always searching out the good things, seeing the bright side of life. Madeline understood that happiness came from within and she helped others realize it a well." Maddy is predeceased by her husband Wilbur "Pat" Lough and by her parents Clarence and Eva Reid. Survived by her sons William and wife Norma Cassidy and James and wife Michelle Ellis; grandchildren Sean, Michelle, Alexander and Erin; sisters Shirley Parr and Joyce Haggerman; brothers Jim, Delbert, and Wayne Reid, sister-in-law Gladys Sills. She will be sadly and sorely missed by her entire family and will always share a piece of our hearts. Dr. died Thursday, November 22, 2001, at the age of 92. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, of Surrey, B.C.; his daughter, Ruth Annis and husband Andy Wachtel, Twila and Robin of Coquitlam, B.C.; his son Bob Annis and wife Mary, Jennifer and Fiona of Brandon, Manitoba; his daughter, Mary McPhee and husband Doug and Colin of Duncan, B.C.; and his sister, Evelyn Annis of Peterborough, Ontario. Dad grew up on a farm near Pickering, Ontario, his family roots going back to the early settlers. He rode a horse to a one-room schoolhouse ten miles away, and went on to earn a B.A. and M.A. from University of Toronto, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University. He was a Fellow at the Brookings Institute. In 1937, he joined the Federal Department of Finance in Ottawa, which he served until his retirement in 1975, many of those years as Director of Tariffs and Trade. He chaired several national boards. Involved in international trade negotiations, he had appointments to Washington, D.C. in the 1950s, and Geneva, Switzerland in the 1960s. Dad was modest and soft-spoken. He instilled in his children a strong sense of moral and social responsibility. He was devoted to his family, his community, and his country. His was a life well lived. Resident of Stanstead, Quebec, quietly passed away on November 20 at the age of seventy-three. Survived by her husband John, four daughters Celia (Rod), Sarah, Tanya (Conrad) and Jessanyn (Jean-Pierre), grandchildren Skye, Jeremy, Matthew, Devon, Robyn, Esme and William, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by her sister Clare. Predeceased by her beloved son Vincent and sister Janet. We will greatly miss her love, warmth, selflessness and optimism; she will remain an inspiration to us all. A memorial service will be held for her next summer. The staff at the palliative care ward of the Hotel-Dieu Hospital in Sherbrooke should be praised for their tireless efforts. Born August 25, 1921 in Oskelaneo, Abitibi, Quebec. Predeceased by her loving husband John, eldest son, Stephen and granddaughter Jennifer. Survived by eleven of her twelve children, Fred, Gordon, Terry, John, Frank, Patricia, Nancy, Barbara, Judy, Perry and David, twenty-seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many friends. Not only a caring mother and wife but a good friend to all. She was always there for you in good and bad times. When you one needed help, all you had to do was call mom and it would be okay. She will be sadly missed by all, but our memories of her will last forever. Bye Mom. passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital in Sechelt, B.C. on November 17th in her 46th year. Born in Ottawa, she was the beloved daughter of Lucille St. Georges and the late Gaston Varin. Predeceased by her brother, Gilles. She will be tenderly rmembered by her cherished son, James Boucher. She will be missed by her brothers and sisters, Pierre (Francine), Henriette, Lorraine (Antoine), Andre (Linda), Louise (Durk), Michel (Denise) and Carole (Leo), She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends, especially Rita, who supported her throughout her journey.
