He is greatly loved by his wife Colette (Bazinet), his children; Lynn Morris (Geren), Sylvie Latimer (Jerry) and Pierre Perrier (Kellie). Loving grandfather of Derrick and Gregory; Katelyn, Amanda and Natasha; and Danielle. Survived by three sisters and three brothers and many nieces and nephews. Beloved wife of Arthur Caverly, passed away October 25, 2001 at the Agape Manor Hospice in Calgary, Alberta at the age of seventy-one years. As well as her husband, she is survived by their daughter Valerie Ladouceur (Larry), of Calgary; their son Wayne Caverly (Nancy) and their two sons Nathan and David, all of St. Lazare, Quebec; a sister Shirley Schultz of California; and other relatives and friends. Madeline was predeceased by her parents Edward and Marguerite Morgan and a brother Edward. Madeline was born and raised in Quebec and has lived in Calgary since 1992. She was an avid bird lover, sewed beautiful quilts, and worked diligently at compiling family history. We will miss her dearly. G/C On October 20th, 2001, died peacefully just one day short of his 89th birthday, at Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII, Halifax, where he resided for the past 3 1/2 years. He was born in Berwick, Nova Scotia. Upon graduation from Acadia University, 'Joe' as he was known for most of his life to his friends, served Canada in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. He was based in Calgary during early WWII before seeing heroic action in the Battle of the Atlantic and subsequently commanded the distinguished 422 Squadron. For nine years Post War he was base commander at Rockcliffe in the nation's capital then co-ordinated a massive expansion of Namao near Edmonton. He continued serving the RCAF in its postwar glory until he retired as Commanding Officer of Southport near Portage la Prairie in 1963. While his military accomplishments were many, only in his twilight years did his personal accomplishments become more apparent. An innovator, he built numerous homes, boats, and finally, addressing his number one passion, he constructed a total of four aircrafts. His heart was in his Maritime home, where he retired to St. Margaret's Bay, Nova Scotia for the last thirty-eight years. An individualist, his eccentricity and humour were hard to resist for all who knew him. Joe's loving life partner, wife Bernice (nee Phinney) died in 1989. He was an inspiration to his three sons, Jim, Norman and Doug, Jim's wife Jeannette and Doug's wife Gail as well as their extended families. He was predeceased by his sister Pauline and brothers Harold and Leard. Joe's family will be forever grateful to the staff at Camp Hill for their loving care. Suddenly in Pembroke on Wednesday, October 24, 2001. Denny Craig of 537 Melton Street, Pembroke. Devoted husband and best friend of Eyleen Craig (nee Neill). Cherished father of Cheryl Riley (husband Keith), Nepean. Most Adored Poppa of Laurel and Robyn Waite; Patrick and Lindsay Riley. Loving brother of Larry Craig (wife Marie), Ottawa; Millie Ambrose (husband Gordon), Ottawa; Wib Craig (wife Charlotte), Whitby; Ray Craig (wife Janet), Ottawa; and Marlyn Logan (husband Carl), Oregon. Loving brother-in-law to Velma Dunn and Clifton Neill, both of Ottawa. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Service in Wesley United Church, Pembroke, on Saturday at 2 p.m. followed by cremation and interment in Capital Memorial Gardens, Ottawa.
