Father of Matthew, brother of Judy Charboneau-Terry and Donovan of B.C. Born in Limerick, Saskatchewan, John completed his Ph.D. (Pol.Sci.) at York Univ. (1977), was Assist. Prof., Univ. of Tor., 1972-82; Visiting Prof., Univ. of B.C., 1976-77; Research Officer, Library of Parl., 1982-88 and consultant/writer/researcher for the Hon. Ethel Cochrane, Senate of Canada 1988 - present. He will be remembered by all for his intellectual and stimulating conversation, his dedication and commitment to his work, his overall generosity and thoughtfulness and his enjoyment of jazz, fine food and sports. Peacefully after a long struggle with cancer on June 21, 2001 at the age of 75. Vince is survived by his three children Kathy de la Salle (Marc), Wayne Roach (Sharon) and Karen Barker (Kevin), as well as six grandchildren and two sisters. Vince was born in Waltham, Massachusetts on May 18, 1926, but spent most of his childhood in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia. He served proudly with the Canadian Armed Forces and the Department of National Defence in Canada, the United States and Europe until his retirement in 1996. Vince is predeceased by his wife Frances. Vince enjoyed golf and spending time with his grandchildren, and gave his time to volunteer at the Perly Rideau Veterans' Hospital. Vince will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. CLOUTIER Nérée, s.s.s. Au monastère des religieux du T.S. Sacrement de Québec, le 21 juin, à l’âge de 60 ans, est décédé le frère Nérée Cloutier, religieux du T.S. Sacrement. Il était fils d’Odilon Cloutier et d’Yvonne Bolduc. Le frère Nérée fit sa profession religieuse le 19 mars 1962. Il fut affecté à la cuisine en diverses communautés: Québec, Valcartier, Cap-Rouge, Loretteville, puis à la sacristie de Québec en 1981. Depuis plusieurs années, il souffrait d’une sévère insuffisance cardiaque, qui l’a emporté. Nous nous souvenons de lui comme homme de grande piété et d’une constante jovialité.
