CSJ (Sister Mary Ann Lapierre) Sister Jean Lapierre passed away peacefully into her eternal rest at the Pembroke General Hospital on June 20, 2001. Sister Jean entered the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Pembroke on February 11, 1937. She was in the 65th year of her religious life. Left to mourn her loss are her sisters in the Congregation; her sister, Mrs. Mary Nadeau, Chapeau; her brothers, Rev. Michael Lapierre, SJ, Toronto, Cecil, Chapeau, and Lennox, Scarborough; her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins, as well as many friends in the following areas where she ministered first as a teacher in Chapeau and Campbell's Bay before going to St. Michael's in Toronto to train as a nurse. Upon receiving her RN certificate she moved to Western Canada in 1949 to minister in Barrhead, AB, Radville, SK, and Regina, SK. In 1960 she did post graduate work in advanced practical obstetrics at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She will be fondly remembered for her faithful service in the health care field. Sister returned to the East in May of 1997 and enjoyed her retirement after ministering to the people of Western Canada for a period of 48 years. Sister Jean was born in Chapeau, QC, a daughter of the late John and Mary Jane McGuire. She is predeceased by her brother, Bert. Resting at St. Joseph's Motherhouse, Pembroke, after 7 P.M. Thursday, June 21. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, June 22, at 10:30 A.M. in the Chapel. Interment at St. Columba's Cemetery, Pembroke. He began working for the Royal Bank at age 17 and from then until his retirement in 1974 had stops in North Gower, Metcalfe, Arnprior, Prescott, Almonte, Carleton Place, Cornwall and Ottawa. During World War II he served with the RCAF as an aircraft armourer. From 1974 to 1981 he was manager of the Ottawa Curling club. Robert & Barbara Tragically as a result of an aircraft accident in Algonquin Park on Monday, June 18, 2001, Bob (58 years) and Barb (56 years). Passed peacefully at the age of 81 on June 19, 2001, at Bevan Lodge Intermediate Care Home in Abbotsford, B.C. Bob is survived by his three children; William of Kanata, Ont., Robert of Prince George, B.C. and Marona and her husband Alan of Abbotsford; grandchildren Meaghan and Scott of Nepean, Ont. and Jodi and Ryne of Abbotsford. Sisters Joan McKinnon of Abbotsford and Mary Eileen Spillane of Winterhaven, Florida, also survive him. His wife, Cecilia, predeceased him in 1987. Bob was born and educated in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After serving in the Canadian Forces during WWII, he married Cecilia Kohnen, also of Winnipeg, in 1948. Shortly after, Bob and friends, Cecil Durnin and Cecil Parrish, established the Millen-Durnin-Parrish manufacturers agency. This business endeavor brought Bob and Cecilia to Calgary, Alberta, in the early 1950's where they settled and began to raise a family. A subsequent business move brought them to Abbotsford in 1971. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, June 24, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Rick Gagnon, celebrant. Service to terminate at the Church. AUDET Raymond 1920 - 2001 À Montréal, le 17 juin 2001, à l’âge de 81 ans, est décédé Raymond Audet, époux d’Angéline Fournel, père de Geneviève (Pierre Chabot), de Michel (Jocelyne Talbot), de Lucie (Jean-Pierre Racca). Lui survivent aussi: sa soeur Claire, huit petits-enfants et deux arrière-petits-enfants. Il a fait carrière dans le Mouvement Desjardins où il a assumé diverses fonctions administratives. À la demande du défunt, il n’y aura aucune exposition. Une messe sera célébrée en l’église de Saint-Lambert, 41, avenue Lorne, le 23 juin à 11h. Les personnes qui souhaiteraient exprimer leurs condoléances pourront le faire à l’église, quelques minutes avant la cérémonie religieuse.
