Born in Medecine Hat on February 17, 1919, she was raised in Taber, Alberta and is survived by her sister, Mary Hassard, Euless, Texas; niece Kelley (Bob) Mulligan and family, Calgary; nephews Kerry Blacklock and family, Edmonton and Kevin (Freda) Blacklock, Houston, Texas. A graduate of Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary, Margaret served for four years with The Royal Canadian Air Force during World War Two. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing degree from McGill University and in 1950 joined the hospital staff to teach the nursing students public health. She was appointed Director of Nursing in 1964. She retired in September 1983 from the Montreal Chest Hospital Centre and moved to Victoria in 1988 where she recently resided in Berwick House. The family would like to thank the staff of Berwick House for the kindness and care given to Margaret. A mass celebrating her life was held in Victoria. Loving uncle of Cody, Matthew, Ameena, Bill Jr., Elizabeth, MacKenzie, Mckayla and Julia.
