David Robert Dups April 02, 1961 - May 19, 2001 Funeral arrangements by Cattel Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of David on May 19, 2001, shortly after his fortieth birthday. He was a special person and will be missed by many, especially his loving wife Carolyn and children Corey and Tyler, his parents Tony and Hannelore Dups, all from Ancaster, and his brother Ralph from Waterdown. He is also mourned by his mother-in-law Elizabeth Krause of Cambridge, his late father-in-law Dieter Krause and step-mother-in-law Deanna Krause of Kitchener, brother- in-law Jeffrey and his wife Rhea Krause of Elmvale and the entire extended family. David was devoted to his family and active in Mission Baptist Church in Hamilton leading musical praise and worship. His steady character, easy going nature and ready smile earned him the respect, loyalty and affection of his clients among the business community and the homeowners who benefited from his energy and creativity. David had a keen mind and read and studied not only architectural history and design, but also aviation, history and science. David was a great athlete and moved from high school football to enthusiastic participation in other sports such as skiing, tennis and ice hockey. David was a faithful and ready friend to many but especially to his wife and children. His provision, commitment and devotion to them focused the many aspects of his personal and professional life. His happiest times were found in the company of his family and they will miss him terribly. Although David designed, built and lived in a stunning home and enjoyed the companionship of a beautiful wife and adorable children we do not grieve for David.
