Chère Jojo, Nous, tes parents, nous nous attendions à ce que tu sois notre bâton de vieillesse. Tu étais notre raison de vivre, mais la Vie en a décidé autrement. Après cinq années de lutte acharnée, remplies de courage et d’espoir, cette terrible maladie t’a vaincue et nous a anéantis. Ton départ nous laisse désemparés et inconsolables. Seule, la fin de tes souffrances morales et physiques atténuera un peu notre peine. C’est pourquoi il y aura toujours au fond de notre coeur ce grand vide qui ne pourra jamais être comblé. Tu es maintenant dans la Lumière et dans la Paix, auprès de DIEU et de tous ceux que tu as connus et aimés, en attendant d’accueillir ceux que tu laisses et qui t’aiment. La mort t’a redonné la liberté que la maladie t’avait enlevée. Josiane est décédée à sa résidence, à Notre- Dame-du-Rosaire, comté de Montmagny, le samedi 19 mai 2001, à l’âge de 33 ans, 8 mois et 2 jours. Elle était la fille unique de Jean- Pierre Després et de Cécile Montminy. La famille recevra les condoléances au salon funéraire de Notre- Dame-du-Rosaire, vendredi de 19h à 22h et samedi, jour des funérailles, à compter de 12h. Le service religieux sera célébré le samedi 26 mai à 15h, en l’église de Notre- Dame-du-Rosaire. De la famille Montminy: son parrain qui l’a précédée, il y a un an, feu Jean-Louis (Pauline Mailloux), Georges (Estelle Chenier), Léon (Jacqueline Côté), Raymond (Rose-Marie Boulet), Roger (Gisèle Bolduc), ainsi que ses cousins et ses cousines et de nombreux ami(e)s, sans oublier tous ses collègues de travail du Centre local d’emploi de Montmagny et du Ministère de la Sécurité du revenu. Nous remercions bien sincèrement son médecin Dr Annie Tremblay qui a cheminé avec elle comme une soeur dans cette terrible épreuve ainsi que toute l’équipe médicale qui l’assistait. Merci au Dr Marie Larochelle de l’Hôtel-Dieu de Québec et à tout le personnel professionnel qui lui a donné d’excellents soins. Notre profonde gratitude au personnel professionnel de l’Hôtel-Dieu de Montmagny (2e et 3e étage) en particulier sa préposée Mme Antoinette Bacon, au département d’oncologie en particulier Mme Diane Caron, au département de radiologie en particulier Dr Denys Bertrand, au personnel professionnel du CLSC Antoine-Rivard de Montmagny en particulier M. Réal Jutras, à la Coopérative de soins à domicile en particulier M. Julien Mathieu et Mmes Karine Cloutier et Denise Nadeau, ses anges, qui en ont pris soin depuis 7 mois. À Beauport, le 21 mai 2001, à l’âge de 83 ans est décédé monsieur l’Abbé Jean-Marie Leclerc, fils de feu monsieur Cyrille Leclerc et de feu dame Alphonsine Pouliot. Il demeurait à la Résidence Cardinal- Vachon. Originaire de Québec, il a fait ses études au Petit Séminaire de Québec et à l’Université Laval. Il fut ordonné prêtre le 16 juin 1944. Par la suite, il fut nommé au Séminaire de Québec et en 1950, vicaire à Château- Richer et ensuite aumonier des Petites Sœurs Franciscaines au Mont St-Irénée en Charlevoix. Après avoir exercé différents ministères, en 1957 il est nommé curé de Rivière Pentecôte (diocèse de Baie Comeau) et il y demeura jusqu’en 1987. Retraité chez les Pères du Saint-Sacrement jusqu’en 1998 pour ensuite habiter à la Résidence Cardinal- Vachon. La famille recevra les condoléances au funérarium Lépine Cloutier Ltée 975, Marguerite- Bourgeoys, Québec mardi à compter de 14h à 17h et de 19h à 22h, mercredi à compter de 9h. DVM After a valiant fight with cancer on Sunday, May 20, 2001. Dear husband of Trees Gwee Nio Gan, beloved father of Renee, Monica (Darren Ducharme) and Bruce Gan. Predeceased by parents, Fien Tiam Nio Lie and Tjiang Kim Gan. Brother of Jajang Gandakusumah (Jiska Meliana), Hendrawaty Gandakusumah (Kusuma Wiraatmadja), Pipik Gandakusumah (Suwartha Muljadi), Surya Gandakusumah (Martini Rikin), King Gandakusumah (Linda Magdalena), Engkih Gandakusumah (Susan Pelangi), all of Indonesia. Brother-in-law of Relly Giok Nio Kwee (Wie Han, deceased) and Michael Tjwan Keng Lim (Leny). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces. A veterinarian by training, he was also an artist, musician, sculptor, inventor, dancer, chef, landscaper, gardener, animal lover, sailor, and motorcyclist. He enjoyed building things - furniture, radio controlled models, a kayak. He had an adventurous spirit, spoke 5 languages, three of them fluently. But most of all, he was a passionate, caring man who touched many people's lives. He will be lovingly remembered and missed very much.
