Cherished father of Dawn and Lance Woodworth and Richard and Monica Rice. Grampa will be greatly missed by Keegan and Cody Woodworth and Matthew, Brandon and Stephanie Rice. His strength of character inspired us all to do our best and will be sorely missed. (1919-2001) C'est avec regret que la famille annonce le deces de Maurice Regimbal, le samedi 24 mars 2001. Ne a Sudbury le 22 aout 1919, Maurice etait le cinquieme des treize enfants de Leo Regimbal et Emma Frappier. Diplome de l'Universite de Sudbury (College du Sacre-Coeur), Maurice obtient son brevet d'enseignant du College d'Education de l'Ontario avec une specialisation en education physique. Membre du Regiment Algonquin, 4e division (1942-1946), il participe a la liberation de la Hollande et complete sa carriere militaire au rang de Major. Maurice epouse Clemence Rivet le 5 aout 1946 et commence sa carriere de professeur et entraineur en education physique a l'ecole secondaire de Kirkland Lake ou il est reconnu parmi les meilleurs formateurs d'athletes du Nord-Ontario. La famille demenage a Sudbury en 1953 ou Maurice est recrute par la nouvelle Universite Laurentienne a titre de Doyen des etudiants et Directeur des sports et est membre fondateur de l'Ecole des Sciences de la sante er de l'education physique. Membre du conseil d'administration de Hockey Canada, president-fondateur de l'Ontario Intercollegiate Athletic Association, et president de l'Union sportive collegiale canadienne, il poursuit sa carriere d'enseignant et directeur du programme de hockey a St. Michael's College High School a Toronto (1979-1984). Maurice prend sa retraite a l'age de 75 ans de son poste de directeur de Franc-O-Forme, organisation qu'il fonda en 1988. Famille et parente qui partagent cette peine comprennent son epouse Clemence, ses enfants Suzanne (Nicholson), Odette (Fink), Nicole (Jean), Denise, Monique (Hamers), Gisele et Daniel, neuf petits-enfants et ses soeurs et frere Lucille, Jacqueline (Foisy) et Louis-Joseph. Survived by brothers Dr. Geoffrey Baker (Margaret) of Surrey, England, Michael Baker (Thelma) of Devon, England and sister Valerie Pettit (loving companion Jack), of Ashton, Ontario, cousin Sheila (Ken Bacon) of Thunder Bay, Ontario and 18 nieces and nephews. Son of the late Lawrence Michael Baker and Eva May (nee Hornby). John's dedication to his career as a Professional Engineer, including his involvement at Expo '67 in Montreal and the Dept. of Northern Development and Indian Affairs was second only to his love and dedication to his home and family. The Baker family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Debra McLean and her excellent, caring staff: Melissa, Lexi, Chris and other staff members at the McLean Country Estate for the loving care given to John during the past two years. Saguenay Est Chicoutimi (face à la marina du Vieux-Port) Les funérailles auront lieu le lundi 26 mars 2001 à 14h, en l’église de la Cathédrale.
