Passed away at his residence in Cambridge, Ontario on Sunday, March 18, 2001 in his ninetieth year. Beloved husband of Iona (nee Kirkpatrick) and loving father of Marion Pickering of Hamilton, Ontario, Olive Ryan and her husband George of Princeton, Ontario, Nancy Gimmer and her husband Harold of Cambridge, Ontario, John and his wife Cathy of Cambridge, Elmer and his wife Vickie of Sudbury, Ontario, Robert and his wife Dorothy of Gibsons, B.C., and Scott and his wife Paula of Cambridge. Dear brother of George of Lachute, Que., and Jean Bennett of Arundel, Que. Dear brother-in-law of Perry Rowe of Ottawa, Elsie of Lachute, and Elsie of St. George, Ontario. Loving grandfather of eighteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Mr. Jackson was predeceased by two grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. He was a member of First United Church in Cambridge. The family will receive friends at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge on Wednesday, March 21, 2001 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at First United Church, 15 Wellington St., Cambridge, on Thursday, March 22, 2001 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert Merritt officiating. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, or to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation, would be appreciated by the family. On Monday, March 19, 2001 after a long and courageous battle at the age of fifty-nine years. Our Lord has called him home. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Joan (Jakeman). Cherished father of Laura (Robert Hudon) and Tammy. Loving grandfather of Jeff, Patrick and Patricia. Dearest brother of Gordon (Andre Chalifoux), sisters Carol (Jean Sicotte), and Theresa. Nieces Tara and Tracy. Visitation at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 307 Riverside Drive (at Argyle) St. Lambert (Exit 6 Notre Dame) on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. Thence to Delson Cemetery.
