(August 20, 1932 - March 1, 2001) The righteous man leads a blameless life, blessed are his children after him. Proverbs 20:7Herman Braunberger, aged 68, died after a 3 year battle with cancer. He was a loyal husband and best friend to Joan, and a loving father to Lois, Karen, Marilyn and Peter. He was brother to Stan, Delphi, Norb, Roy and Bill. He is predeceased by his father and mother Jacob and Caroline (Schalo), and his brothers Virgil and Bob. He leaves thirteen grandchildren. Herman was born in Drumheller, Alberta - where many stories of poverty, adventure and a rich life began. A long and successful career with Canada Post brought Herman and his family to Calgary and then to Ottawa. In retirement he served with missions in Canada, Chile and Pakistan. He was also a great support to his children and grandchildren. He leaves a legacy of a critical and thinking mind and a gracious heart and spirit. We knew we were in his prayers daily, and were honored by his faithful walk with God. Those who survived him will greatly miss his quiet strength and example.
