Gérard Audet We regret to announce the death of Gérard Audet on Thursday September 14, 2000 at the Extendicare Nursing Home in Kapuskasing at the age of 75 years. Gérard Audet is survived by his long time companion Lucienne Séguin, 4 brothers: Lionel Audet husband of Béatrice of North Bay, Léo Audet husband of Rollande, Fernand Audet husband of Gisèle, Jean Audet husband of Thérèse all of Kapuskasing, 5 sisters: Estelle Boisvert wife of Raoul of Bradford, Juliette Audet of Ottawa, Rita Roy wife of Gérard of Ottawa, Jeannette Levesque wife of Edouard of North Bay and Yvette Lemieux wife of Raymond of Kapuskasing. Funeral service was held on Monday September 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the Notre Dame de la Paix Church in Kapuskasing. Cremation will follow at the Hillcrest Crematorium in Matheson.

Clément Garand is survived by his wife Juliette, son: André husband of Edith Doyon of Kincardine, daughter Edith Bisson wife of Daniel of New Castle,sisters; Doris Chouinard wife of Henri of Woburn, Diane Leclaire wife of Eli of Florida, Nicole Latté wife of Bill of Maine, Monique and Claire Garand both of Levis, and Thérèse Garand of Montreal, brothers; Donat husband of Cécile of Earlton, Léandre husband of Jeannette of Sherbrooke, Gérard of Forest Fall and Gaston husband of Rolande of Lac Mégantic. Mr Garand had four grandchildren; Emilia, Alexandre, and Yanique Bisson and Penelope Garand. Father Roger Pronovost directed the funeral service at Notre Dame des Victoires Church in Kapuskasing. Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.

He is predeceased by his daughter Mona-Jean and 1 sister Isabelle Forsberg. Alex Mair is survived by his wife Georgina, 4 sons;Alex Jr. husband of Susanne, Gerry husband of Claire, Charles all of Kapuskasing, Neil companion of Micheline Dupuis of Timmins, one daughter; Lou-Anne Mair of North Bay, one sister; Elenor Butler of Timmins, one brother; James of Timmins, as well as 8 grandchildren; Whithney, Wade, Lindsay, Tasha, Tanner, Chelsea, Matt and Alyx. Funeral service was held on November 7 at the St Patrick's Church with Father Léo Papineau officiating. Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. Loving father of Cheryl and Doug Ross, Peggy, Deborah and Greg Burke-Fagan, Brent and Allison, Brian and Barb and Randy and Carole. Grandfather of Matthew, Jordan, Kelsey, Kevin, Connor, Laura, Kelly, Tyler, Zachary, Amos, Megan and Riley. Brother of Lila, Eileen, Glenn and Ken. Art, a WWII Veteran, was one of the most respected car salesmen in the Ottawa area throughout his career. Following his retirement, he was often contacted by former customers hoping he would sell them another car. In respect to Art's wishes, a Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick's, Fallowfield, 15 Steeple Hill Crescent. A gathering will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Bells Corners, 4026 Richmond Road. Derrick Turgeon We regret to announce the death of Derrick Turgeon on February 8, 2001 at the age of 15 years. Derrick is survived by his parents Gaston and Guylaine Turgeon, his sister Tammy, grandparents: Antonio and Diane Fontaine all of Kapuskasing, grandmother Cécile Turgeon, 3 aunts: Brenda Coté of Timmins, Lisette Frechette wife of Léo of Moonbeam, Noëlla Gauthier wife of Renaud of White River, 10 uncles: Robert Fontaine of Kapuskasing, Julien Turgeon husband of Céline, of Cochrane, Conrad Turgeon husband of Francine of Hearst, Bertrand Turgeon husband of Lise of Timmins, Normand Turgeon husband of Mary-Lou of Sault Ste Marie, François Turgeon husband of Aline of Sault Ste Marie, Raymond Turgeon husband of Germaine of Kapuskasing, Jacques Turgeon husband of Nancy of Marathon, Maurice Turgeon husband of Jane of London, and Claude Turgeon husband of Noëlla of Kapuskasing. Derrick was predeceased by his grandfather Athanase Turgeon. Funeral service was held on February 12, 2001 at the Notre Dame des Victoires Church in Kapuskasing at 2:00 p.m. with Father Roger Pronovost officiating. Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. Donations to the Kapuskasing Youth Center Skate Park Project would be greatly appreciated.

Philippe Bedard We regret to announce the death of Philippe Bedard on Thursday February 8, 2001 at the Sensenbrenner hospital at the age of 75 years. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline of Kapuskasing, 3 sons: Pierre husband of Alice, Daniel husband of Denise of Kapuskasing, Michel husband of Adeline of Moonbeam, 3 daughters: Suzanne Lanthier wife of Aurel of Sexsmith, Alberta, Madeleine Blais of Grand Prairie Alberta, Patricia Bedard of Edmonton, Alberta, 2 sisters: Rita Chainey of Kapuskasing, Thérèse Morin of St Catherine, 2 brothers: Camille Bedard of Kapuskasing, Raymond Bedard of Kapuskasing, as well as 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service was held on February 12, 2001 at the Notre Dame des Victoires Church in Kapuskasing with Father Roger Pronovost officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.

Bruno Gendron We regret to announce the death of Bruno Gendron on February 1, 2001 in Rouyn- Noranda at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his wife Marguerite Baril Gendron of Rouyn-Noranda, one brother Georges Gendron and brother-in-law Eugène Gagné of Kapuskasing as well as many nephews and nieces. Funeral service was held on February 5, 2001 at the Immaculée Conception Church in Kapuskasing, Burial followed at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.

Gaston Credger We regret to announce the death of Gaston Credger on Thursday June 2, 2000 at the Sensenbrenner hospital at the age of 62. He is survived by his spouse Georgette, one son; Martin (Lucie) of Kapuskasing, two daughters; Darquise Blackwell (Howard) of Cochrane, Lucie Credger of Hamilton, four sisters; Lucie Trottier and Huguette Smith both of Kapuskasing, Pauline Credger of Ottawa and Jacynthe Girardin of Smooth Rock Falls as well as five grandchildren. The Eucharistic Celebration will be held on Monday June 5 at 10:15am at the Notre Dame des Victoires Parish with Father Roger Pronovost officiating. Interment to follow at the Kapuskasing cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Fund would be appreciated.
