Beloved husband of Betty Krejcik of Calgary passed away in Calgary on Friday, January 5, 2001 at the age of eighty-eight years. Stanley worked for thirty-one years with I.A.T.A. and retired in 1977 as Director of Avionics. Stanley served in the R.A.F. under the Czech Squadron. Besides his loving wife, Stanley is survived by two sons, Paul and Ian, both of Montreal, one daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Ray Rose, of Calgary, and three grandchildren, Danny, Nicki and Robbie. After a brief illness in hospital on January 7, 2001. Glenn Willis Craigie in his 70th year. He is deeply missed by his partner Ruth Belyea. Predeceased by his sons Peter and Jamie. Bud is survived by his children Susan, Robert, David and his grandson Jamie. He is fondly remembered by his granddaughter Amanda (Tom Leveille) and great grandsons Damyan and Jayden. Bud spent most of his career in the elevator industry, and for many years prior to his retirement managed both the electrical division of APv Canada (J. & E. Hall) as well as the elevator division in Ottawa. He was an avid sportsman and a longtime member of the Ottawa Valley Trap and Skeet Club. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2001 at the Pinecrest Cemetery Chapel (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow the interment at the Pinecrest Reception Centre. John Anderson, 54 John Anderson died suddenly Dec. 30, 2000. He was 54 years old. Mr. Anderson is survived by and will be dearly missed by his wife Norah of 32 years; his son Michael Jesse, mother Beatrice Anderson (nee Martineau); sisters Susan (Fred) Visser and Carole (Laurie) Clifford; as well as many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Mr. Anderson was predeceased by his father Jack Anderson in 1991. He had volunteered much of his time to many community events, especially minor hockey and amateur boxing. Anna Mae Mackay, 79 Anna Mae Mackay, 415 Wood St. E., Prescott, died Dec. 7, 2000 at Brockville General Hospital. She was 79. Born March 25, 1921 in Prescott, she was the daughter of Fred Wallace and Anna Roney, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her husband, William Duncan Mackay, whom she married Aug. 15, 1953 at St. Mark's Rectory in Prescott. Mrs. MacKay is survived by her son John (Kate) Snyder; daughters Terry Ann Snyder and Peggy Arcand; grandchildren Jaunni Snyder, Jason, Nathan and Anna Ashley Arcand and by a sister, Jean Baker. She had worked as a mother and homemaker at home. Visitation was held at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott, 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 9, 2000. Loving husband of Jean Beazley, brother of Donald (Heather) of Port Hope, ON and Stephen (late Irene) of Victoria, BC, brother-in-law of Gertrude and Andy Wood. RCAF veteran. Suddenly after a lengthy illness, at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus on Monday, January 8, 2001. Sidonie Edith Marshall (nee Robins) in her 80th year. Beloved wife of J. Lawrence Marshall. Loving mother of Brian (Janet) of Toronto, Robin (Kathleen) of Kentville, N.S. and Susan Moore (Shawn) of Waverly, N.S. Grandmother of Lara Kalins, James Marshall and Heidi Moore and great-grandmother of two. Predeceased by sisters, Doris and Freda. Born and raised in Watrous, Saskatchewan, Sidonie gave much of her time to worthy causes including becoming a young CO of the Watrous Women's Military Reserve in the W.W. II period. While living in the Montreal area of Baie d'Urfe (1946 to 1977) Sidonie joined and later led the I.O.D.E. Chapter and spent most of her weekdays as a volunteer at the Veteran's Hospital in Ste. Annes de Bellvue, where she became head of the group. Upon moving to Ottawa in 1977, her declining health gradually reduced her activity in the volunteer service. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue, Ottawa, at Richmond Road, on Saturday, January 13 after 10 a.m. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Private Cremation. Dans la sérénité, entouré de l’amour des siens, est décédé à l’âge de 78 ans, M. Jean-Marc Houde, époux bien-aimé de dame Noëlla Lemieux, à l’hôpital Laval, ce dimanche 7 janvier 2001. Il était enseignant retraité et autrefois de Laurierville. Le service religieux aura lieu le vendredi 12 janvier 2001 à 14h, en l’église de Laurierville. La famille reçoit les condoléances jeudi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 22h et vendredi, jour des funérailles à compter de midi au complexe funéraire Jacques Couture Inc 142, rue Grenier Laurierville M. Jean-Marc Houde laisse dans le deuil, outre son épouse, ses enfants: Brigitte, Martine (Jean-Claude Poulin), Jean-Yves. Il laisse également ses soeurs et frères, bellessoeurs et beaux-frères: feu Françoise (feu Alfred Boudreault), feu Bernard, feu Père Léon, cap., feu Soeur Marie-Rose, p.f.s.f., Louis (Gertrude Bilodeau), Gérard (Magot Gagnon), Céline, Abbé Alfred Houde, ptre, Georges et feu Marie- Paul, Philippe Lemieux, Manse Lemieux (Claude Jacques); ses neveux et nièces: Jules Houde (Marie- Hélène Boivin), Manon et François Houde, Danielle Jacques (Alain Rousseau), Nathalie Jacques (Gilbert Poirier); ainsi que plusieurs cousins, cousines, parents et ami(e)s. Passed away on January 7, 2001 in his 75th year. Son of the late Fred and Odell (Baldwin) Hanes. Husband of Marjorie (nee Way). Brother of Lyall. Father of Stephen (Sylvie), Ron (Tammy), Sharon (Tim), and Pamela (Steve). Also survived by many grandchildren including Meagan, Lisa, Leslie, Mathew, Andrea and Caitlin and great-granddaughter Veronica. A Memorial Reception will be held at the McGarry Family Reception Centre, 315 McLeod Street on Thursday, January 11, 2001 from 2 to 5 p.m. A Legion Service will be held at 3 p.m. Donations to the Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
