After a brief illness in hospital on January 7, 2001. Glenn Willis Craigie in his 70th year. He is deeply missed by his partner Ruth Belyea. Predeceased by his sons Peter and Jamie. Bud is survived by his children Susan, Robert, David and his grandson Jamie. He is fondly remembered by his granddaughter Amanda (Tom Leveille) and great grandsons Damyan and Jayden. Bud spent most of his career in the elevator industry, and for many years prior to his retirement managed both the electrical division of APv Canada (J. & E. Hall) as well as the elevator division in Ottawa. He was an avid sportsman and a longtime member of the Ottawa Valley Trap and Skeet Club. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2001 at the Pinecrest Cemetery Chapel (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow the interment at the Pinecrest Reception Centre. Beloved husband of Betty Krejcik of Calgary passed away in Calgary on Friday, January 5, 2001 at the age of eighty-eight years. Stanley worked for thirty-one years with I.A.T.A. and retired in 1977 as Director of Avionics. Stanley served in the R.A.F. under the Czech Squadron. Besides his loving wife, Stanley is survived by two sons, Paul and Ian, both of Montreal, one daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Ray Rose, of Calgary, and three grandchildren, Danny, Nicki and Robbie. Passed away at the age of 27, Sunday January 7, 2001 after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis. He follows his mother, Patricia Kolesar (Davidson) who passed away January 19, 2000. His father Lawrence Kolesar and two brothers David and John of Gatineau survive him. He also leaves uncles and aunts Michael and Ada Kolesar, Donald and Gloria Davidson, John and Pat Davidson, along with cousins and many other friends especially Julia Lyons, Laura Hogan, Diane and Judith. Special appreciation is extended to all that helped in his struggle. Particular thanks to the staff of the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic in Ottawa, the staff of the Intensive Care Unit at the Ottawa General Hospital, nurse Raymond Boucher and the rest of the CLSC staff, physiotherapist Colette Gareau, and Dr. Elizabeth Tullis of the St. Michael Hospital CF Clinic in Toronto. Elisa was active in her community in Toronto, and always believed she had a responsibility to contribute to building a good society. She worked for many years with the Royal Bank of Canada as a loans officer. Elisa was a strong and incredibly sweet person, and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived in Italy by her cousins, Carina and Gaetanina Fadini; brother-and-sister-in-law, Giorgio Costigliola and Liliana Costigliola; nephew, Paolo and niece, Cristina. Peacefully in his ninety-sixth year on Friday, January 5, 2001 at Sutton, Quebec. He emigrated from London, England to pursue a career with Canadian Pacific Railway where he rose to become Senior Vice-President. He was appointed Chairman of the Metric Commission where he oversaw Canada's conversion to the metric system. He continued in his retirement as a consultant for Canadian Pacific Consulting. After a long and happy life, he will be greatly missed by his wife Eve, his son Jonathan (Evangelina) and his daughter Abigail, also by his grandchildren Kimberly (John McMullen) MacDuff, Allison (Joey Gunn), Hilary (Wouter Germans), Sarah (Pete Gaffney), Giovanna and Stevenson, and his six great-grandchildren, Cameron, Anne, Cullen, Brasil, Esker and Saskia. Specially missed by stepdaughter Carol (Robert Schmidt) and stepgrandson Morgan Beare and sadly by stepgrandson Kurt Walchyshyn (Cheryl Hillman) and step great-granddaughter Rebecca. A farewell service will be celebrated on Thursday, January 11, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. at the Grace Anglican Church, 52 Main Street, Sutton, Quebec.
