France Allain - C’est avec tristesse que nous annonçons le décès accidentel de France Allain, le vendredi 10 juillet 2009, à l’âge de 35 ans. Elle demeurait à Néguac. Née le 28 août 1973, elle était fille de David Allain et de Gloria Savoie. Outre ses parents, elle laisse dans le deuil une fille, Kaylee, son père, Robert Mitchell et les parents de Robert: Emely et Willis; deux soeurs: Doriane (Peter Howell) de Riverview et Sophia (Serge Robichaud) de Néguac; un frère, Patrick (Diane Carey) de Tracadie-Sheila; ses neveux et sa nièce: Spencer, Tristan, Jean-Sébastien, Pierre-Luc et Gabriella; sa grand-mère maternelle, Julia (feu Lucien Savoie) de Néguac; son parrain et sa marraine: Roger et Anne Marie Allain, ainsi que plusieurs oncles, tantes, cousins, cou-sines, amis et amies et ses collègues de travail. Ses grands-parents paternels: Edgar Allain et Léontine Brideau, l’ont précédée dans la tombe. France travaillait au ministère du Développement social dans la région de Miramichi. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 19h, le lundi 13 juillet, à la Maison Robichaud, 50, rue Otho, à Néguac (robichaud@arborme-morial.com). Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Bernard de Néguac, le mercredi 15 juillet, à 16h30. Heures de visites: le lundi 13 juillet, de 19h à 21h, le mardi 14 juillet, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le mercredi 15 juillet, de 14h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. HICKMAN, Jean Mary Jean passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 11 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend Franklyn Hickman. STITT, Garey John November 26, 1939 - July 12, 2009 It is with great sorrow that we announce after a short illness in the presence of his family, Garey slipped away peacefully. Garey leaves behind his best friend and loving wife of 39 years, Elaine Stitt (nee Desjardins). His one and only cherished and adored daughter Wanda "Pooh Bear" (fiance Mike). Predeceased by his parents John & May Stitt. Sadly missed by his siblings, Ellard (Fran), Dawson (Lynn), Phyllis (the late Robert Hayley) and Linda (William Piercy). Predeceased by his brothers Eldon (Lillis), Merton "Bodie" (May), William "Billy" (Emma), and sister Meryle (late Eshmal Pleau). Fondly remembered and loved by his sister in-law, Mildred Desjardins, brother in-laws, Nelligan "Sonny" Desjardins, Neil Desjardins (Helen), many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and anyone who had the pleasure to know him. DANIELS , Eleanor Theresa Rita November 18, 1933 - July 11, 2009 Eleanor Daniels passed away on July 11, 2009 with her family by her side. She will be forever in the hearts of her family; her loving husband Joe and her four daughters and their families; Judy and Guy Frigon, Joelle, Brian and Baxter Berry, Michael and Bella (Baciu) Frigon; Charlene and Bob Hunter, Kristy and Matt Winger, Michelle Hunter; Gail Daniels and Brian, Danielle and Jordann Fleming; Joanne and Darren Peters, Christopher Daniels and Catherine Peters. Baby Baxter and his Great-Grandma shared a very special bond. Eleanor is survived by her brother Wayne of Barrie, Ontario. She was predeceased by her sister Joan and her brother Alec. Eleanor was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario and married the love of her life when she was nineteen. She was a loving and generous mother who spoiled her grandchildren and eagerly supported all their endeavours. Eleanor had a great sense of humour. She was an avid golfer who was loved by many at Shaw-Nee Slopes. She never missed a Flames game. Auntie Eleanor was famous for her Italian cooking and the family in Thunder Bay could not wait for her to arrive and make her pizza frit. Our family appreciates all the prayers and support provided by Eleanor's relatives and friends. We would like to thank all the health care workers on Unit 73 at Rockyview Hospital and the Tom Baker Cancer Clinic for their care and support. ROSE , Alan Roger September 21, 1958 - July 8, 2009 Alan Rose passed away in Calgary, Alberta, on July 8, 2009 at the tender age of 50. Alan was born in Prince George, B.C and moved around until he called Calgary, Alberta, home. He is survived by his parents Donna May and Roger; two sons David and Roger; his step-son and daughter, Danette and Curtis; his grandson Braedyn; as well as his siblings June (Fred), Dennis (Sheryl) and Karen. Alan will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Alan was known for being kind-hearted, caring and a very loving father. As per Alan's wishes he will be Cremated and a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at the Pineridge Community Centre at 6024 Rundlehorn Drive. N.E., Calgary, AB. The celebration of life will start at 1:00 p.m. and the family would appreciate the attendance of all friends and family. His family is deeply saddened by this loss and his memory will live on forever in their hearts. Any donations can be made to the Pineridge Community Association at 6024 Rundlehorn Drive N.E. for the setup of a scholarship in Alan's name for automotive mechanics attending S.A.I.T. polytechnic. TOKICH, Ivan 2009-07-13 MR. IVAN TOKICH: Born near Split, Croatia in Feb, 1924, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2009 in Thunder Bay in his 86th year. Cherished cousin of Archie Juric (Janina) of Port Dover, Ont. Also survived by his god daughter Dr. Tanja Juric of Toronto, Adrian Juric of Vancouver, Vesna Juric Marciano and family of Toronto as well as numerous relatives in Croatia. Ivan immigrated to Canada in 1951 and for over 40 years worked in the Atikokan-Fort Frances area as a lumberjack, then skidder operator. Since he often occupied self-built shelters in remote areas of the bush his nickname became "Jungle Jim". After retiring he moved to downtown Toronto and operated a sausage cart for 5 years to people watch and often fed the homeless. From the bush to Bloor and Bathurst!! For the last 5 years Ivan has resided at Hogarth Riverview manor in Thunder Bay. Ivan will be sadly missed by his relatives and friends especially Gina and Rino Rimanich of Thunder Bay, whom they wish to thank for all of their help. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in the Blake Funeral Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Ivan Tokich in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 27, 2010. PAGÉ, Me Alain 1954 - 2009 C'est avec une grande tristesse que la famille de M. Alain Pagé vous fait part de son décès, survenu le 10 juillet 2009, emporté par une fulgurante maladie. Il est parti pour son dernier grand voyage entouré de ceux qu'il aimait, ses dernières paroles furent: "Je vais penser à vous autres”. Conrad Chenard 1953-2009 A l’Hôpital de Moncton, le lundi 13 juillet 2009, à l’âge de 56 ans, est décédé Conrad Joseph Chenard, domicilié à Moncton après une lutte courageuse contre le cancer. Né à Bathurst, il était le fils de Roseline Berthe et de feu Gérard Chenard. M. Chenard était employé avec Maritime Fireplaces. Outre que sa mère, il manquera beaucoup à son épouse, Lucille née Cormier; ses deux enfants: Stéphanie (Kevin Cormier) de St-Albert, Alberta, et Martin (Céline Bastien) de Frédéricton, une soeur, Gisèle (Vernon) Price de Moncton; quatre frères: Jean-Claude (Bernadette) de Ste-Marie-de-Kent, Roger (Debbie) de Moncton, Marcel (Jeannette) de Dieppe, Bernard (Denise) de Mont-Joli, Québec; plusieurs nièces, neveux et sa belle-sœur, Eileen de Moncton. Outre son père, un frère, Vincent l’a précédé dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à la Maison funéraire Frenette ltée, 88, rue Church à Moncton (858-1900). BROSS , Luciel Shirley (nee Arneson) January 12, 1938 - July 10, 2009 Luciel Shirley Bross, beloved wife of Edward Bross of Calgary, passed away after a short illness with family at her side on Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Rockyview Hospital at the age of 71 years. God gave her a second chance in 1947 and she took full advantage of it. Luciel was born on the family farm near Tuffnell, SK, on January 12, 1938. She attended Echo Lake School in the Layco District, north of Tuffnell, SK. After completing school, she worked at the Flin Flon, MB, Hospital as a caregiver, and in Winnipeg, MB, as a waitress, and from there moved to Saskatoon, SK. Luciel moved to Alberta in 1962, marrying her husband Ed in 1966. She was an excellent Norwegian baker, and enjoyed coffee time with everyone, especially her friend Gillian. Luciel was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Nothing excited her more than the news that a new baby was coming. Everyone who knew her will miss her dearly. Besides her loving husband Ed, Luciel is also survived by daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Don McCreadie; son and daughter-in-law, Darcy and Nicole Bross; grandchildren, Meagan (Tyler) Gagnon, Travis and Kyley McCreadie, and Mairead Bross; and great-grandchildren, Parker and Cadence Gagnon. Luciel is remembered by brothers, Herb (Ann), Ray (Jane), Lawrence (Shirley), and Glen (Bev); sisters, Stella (Matt) Tomyn, Esther (Steve) Tomyn, Hazel Popadynec, and Elsie Domeij; brothers-in-law, Ray and Bert Bross; sister-in-law Nell (Richard) Murphy, and Vicki, wife of the late Carl Arneson; and a large extended family. Luciel was predeceased by her mother Marit; father Henry; brother Carl, brothers-in-law Emerson Domeij, and Raymond Popadynec; and nephews Bradley Domiej and Larry Tomyn. He leaves behind his loving wife Myrta Rivers (Wiederkehr) of 56 years. He was father of Heidi (Ross) Barton, Lorrie (John) Good, Anne (Neil) Trudel, and Peter (Jodi) Rivers. He will be missed by grandchildren Andrew, Hilary, Steven, Cale, Pamela and Rebekah and great grandchild Zachary. Ernie is the brother of Oliver Rivers and predeceased by parents James and Eva Rivers, and siblings Frank, George, Ben, Henry, Melvin, Hazel, Ruth, Olive, Ivan and Eva. He is also survived by sister-in-law Grace Rivers (Melvin). He will be missed by mother-in-law Elsa (late Josef) Wiederkehr and her family, Esther (Eddie) Wrona, Joe (Jean) Wiederkehr and Heidi (Rick) Partridge. Ernie was an uncle and great uncle to many nephews and nieces. Frank retired in 1982 and delighted in spending time with his family and traveling with Theresa. DAVIS, Russell - Of Wiarton passed away suddenly at Wiarton Hospital with family by his side on Saturday, July 11, 2009 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Eleanor and cherished father of Susan Davis and Nancy Davis (Bob Canham) all of Wiarton. Special grandfather of Kyle and Sean and great grandfather of Keira. He will be sadly missed by his brother Ralph (Alice) Davis and sister-in-law Margaret Bryce, both of Toronto, as well as many nieces and nephews. Russell was predeceased by his parents Jessie (Glover) and Charles Davis, brother Alan and sisters Verna Jones and Evelyn Rowe. Russell was the industrial arts teacher at Wiarton District High School for 33 years instructing countless youngsters in the art and science of carpentry, electricity, sheet metal work, welding, small engine repair and other related trades, drafting, physical education, math and driver training. One highlight of his career was the gradual acceptance of female students into the industrial arts courses, the first of which was his own daughter Nancy. Russell was also a faithful Rotary member obtaining 49 years of perfect attendance and receiving the distinguished Paul Harris fellowship in 1992.
