Beloved wife of Wilfrid “Frank” François Beaudoin of Garson. Loving mother of Michael Beaudoin (Heather) of Vancouver, Donna Hein (Dan) and Greg Moore (Kathy) both of Arnprior, Sharon Teahen (Donald) of Petawawa and JoAnn Chenard (Brenden Blais) of Wahnapitae. Dear sister of Margaret Lyon (Bill), Sandra Robillard (Raymond) and Ruthy Mills (Bill) all of Renfrew and Kenny Moore of Pembrooke. Predeceased by her sister and brothers Stella Denault, Bobby and Donny. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. CAMPBELL, George Boyd - Passed away peacefully June 7, 2009 in his 80th year at the Sudbury General Hospital. Loving husband of 58 years of Norma (nee McKnight). Loving father of Bonnie Cappadocia (Mike), Bob (Pat), Tom (Alta), Jack (Christa) and Larry (Monique). Will be sadly missed by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by Jack (Elsie), Winnifred (Emile), Keitha (Morley), Frank, Jim, Helen (Ken), Yvonne (Sandy), Pat, Darwin Howard, Bill McKnight and Brian Middleton. Parents John and Keitha (Knox) Campbell. Survived by sister Leone Howard and in-laws Leila, Jean, Birdie Middleton, Alice McKnight, Melvin McKnight (Edith) cousin Hal Cummings (Pat) and many nieces and nephews. Boyd enjoyed life to the fullest, was proficient at many trades and very well respected in the community. He worked 43 years in the pulp and paper industry before retiring in 1990. Boyd will always be remembered for his stories and love for his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His passion was his camp and shop at Lang Lake. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Resting at the BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME, Espanola on Wednesday June 9, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. McMAHON, Roger James Joseph MCMAHON, Petty Officer 1st Class Roger James Joseph - passed away peacefully at home on Thursday June 4th, 2009 in his 53rd year. Beloved husband of Joy. Loved father of Mathew, Daniel and stepdaughter Nicole. Sadly missed by his mother Jackie McMahon. Survived by his siblings Helen (Brian Nielson), Louise, Lorraine (Dan Legault), Richard, Michael, Danny (Sue), Mark (Angie) and Gerald JR. (Lana). Cherished Grandpa of Hailee- Rose and Seth. Survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Predeceased by his father Gerald. Roger served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 28 years. He served on the HMCS Protector, HMCS Perserver, HMCS Halifax, HMCS St. John's, to name a few. He has been a long standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 263 Duchess of Kent. He has also served with Naval Cadet at Wolseley Barracks ASU London. MOXAM (Koski), Viola Ann - In loving memory of Viola Ann Moxam, 83 years, of Lively, who passed away Sunday morning, June 7th, 2009, at SRH - St. Joseph Health Centre. She was born in Copper Cliff and lived there most of her life. She married Andrew Moxam in 1943. Vi worked for the Natural Gas Company for 22 years. She loved the outdoors and along with her husband, they built a camp on Lake Panache which was their pride and joy and where they spent 47 wonderful years. Vi's door was always open to others. She was a well-loved Mumma and well respected friend. Vi was a chartered member and a tireless worker for the Walden Lioness Club for many years. Her love of Bingo is legendary. She was a beautiful knitter and the family sports her creations. Beloved wife of Andrew James Moxam (predeceased). Loving mother of Donna (Paul Aloisi) of Walden, Doug (Michelle) of Copper Cliff, Debbie (Wayne Powell) of Little Panache, David (Trisha) of Dallas, Texas. Daughter of the late Michael and Mary Vovk. Mother of Michael (Jacquie), John (Roxanne Leziert), the late Angie (Frank), Terry (Tracey Nickles), Kristy and Larry. Baba-Grandmother of Frankie, Tyler and Skye Carricato, Michael Tschekalin and Austin and Drake Nickles. Sister and best friend of Emily (Milka) Durkac (Joseph). Special aunt to Stephen, Derek (Stacey) and godchild Andrea (Greg). Sister-in-law to Helen Krywick, Olga Kysym (Nick), Nick Tschekalin (Arlene), Walter Tschekalin (Helen), Millie Valenius (Kimo) and the late Michael Tschekalin, John Tschekalin and Katrina Tschekalin (Rob). Helen was very passionate about her profession as a Domestic Engineer, gardener and cook extraordinaire. She welcomed everyone into her home with unconditional love. MAW, William (Bill) Bateman 2009-06-09 William (Bill) Bateman Maw, resident at Grandview Lodge. Born September 3, 1929 at Toronto General Hospital went to be with his Saviour Jesus Christ, and with his parents Eileen and Harold Bateman Maw on June 6, 2009. He leaves behind his younger brother John, sister-in-law Margaret, 3 nieces (Deborah, Wendy, Elizabeth), 3 nephews (Robert, Gregory, Stephen), and cousins Marie Dandy, Pat Squire, Margie Burkholder, Diane Chappel, Marilyn Brooks, Danny Simmer. Even though Bill went through his life with limitations created at birth, his interests included classical music, sports, local events, live theatre, fishing, antique cars. He impacted many because he had a caring and prayerful heart. He was a ’lone-star’ but was able to enjoy such things as Canadian Expo in B.C., hockey week-ends in Montreal, and trips to the Stratford Festival. On the death of his parents he joined his brother John in Thunder Bay. Many knew Bill by sight as he enjoyed his monthly bus pass. We called the Mainline bus "Bill’s Tour Bus". The personal care many gave at Grandview Lodge these past ten years was much appreciated by Bill and his family. Thanks to attending physicians, Dr. C. Dodick, Dr. R. Johnson, Dr. H.W. Hamilton, Dr. A Skehan, Dr. S. Gupta. Because of his outgoing, cheerful nature Bill will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held in the auditorium at Grandview Lodge on Thursday, June 11 at 1:30. All will be welcome who had any contact with Bill. A buffet luncheon will be served after the memorial service. Also a memorial service will be held in Toronto at Jarvis St. Baptist Church at a later date. BORYS, John - At home, on June 8, 2009, after a courageous battle with brain cancer in his 89th year. John is survived by his sons Bohdan and his wife Maria and Peter and his wife Anita, all of Niagara Falls. He will be missed by four Granddaughters, Laura, Stephanie, Christina and Larissa, and remembered by former wife Olga and family in Ukraine, Canada and the U.S., including two sisters and plenty of nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. John was born in the Ukraine on October 10, 1920. He served in the Russian Army and became a POW during WWII and following the war, he worked in Germany and in Belgium in a factory, as well as in the coal mines. John came to Canada several years after that to his Aunt's farm in Saskatchewan, and later to East Coulee Alberta to work in the coal mines. Later, he moved to Brooklyn, New York and became a window cleaner where he worked on such famous structures as the Empire State Building and the World Trade Centre. In the early seventies, he moved back to Canada, Thunder Bay, but later in the decade, John returned to the U.S. working for CBS Television in New York City and lived for many years in Kerhonkson, and Ellenville, N.Y. Since his illness with cancer, he returned once again to Canada to live with his sons in Niagara Falls. John loved the outdoors and especially his garden. We wish you could be here longer, but God has decided it is time to end your suffering and come home with Him. Rest in peace dad. We love you and will miss you. GALLANT, Dorothée Claudette (nee Trottier) - The family of Dorothée Gallant sadly announces her gentle passing on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the Sault Area Hospital after a valiant and enduring struggle at the age of 63 years. Dorothée is survived by a wonderfully devoted husband, best friend and champion, Renald (Ronny) of 46 years. She is also survived by her loving daughters Nicole Gallant (Dave Ostrowski-Gallant), Lise Gallant (Blaine Cuthbertson) and Carole Gallant (Scott MacKinnon) and cherished grandchildren, Ronny, Crystal, Adam, Alicia, Shanelle and Bryan. She is the daughter of Yvette Gallant (Terry) and the late Marcel Trottier. Dear sister of the late Gerald (Gerry) Trottier (Cathy) and Daniel Larice. Special aunt of Gerry and Ronny Trottier. Dorothée will be greatly missed by her friends. There will be a celebration of her life for family and close friends on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the residence of Nicole and Dave Gallant, 449 Lake St., in Sault Ste. Marie starting at 2 pm. BUYE , Glenn David Passed away doing what he loved most - working on the farm. A tragic accident sent him to "prepare the way" on June 5, 2009. Glenn was born on August 2, 1946 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. At the time of his passing he resided with his brother, Ernest, on the farm at Fox Valley, Saskatchewan. During the winter season, Glenn would retire to his apartment in Calgary to catch up on his reading, wine making and to watch court proceedings. In September of 1964, Glenn went to Toronto to attend DeVry Technical Institute, graduating in 1965 with honors as an Electronics Technician. In April 1966 Glenn pursued a career with AGT/Telus, and remained a loyal employee for thirty-eight years without missing a day of work. He retired in 2004. In Glenn's own words, "When I retire I may go back to the farm and farm and farm until all my money is gone." Glenn's pride and joy were his three 1967 Plymouth Satellites. Starting many years ago, Glenn believed in saving our planet, by walking instead of driving whenever possible. Glenn is survived by his parents, Nick and Agnes Buye, his six brothers and three sisters, Ernest, Robert (Gladys), Dan (Gwen), Grace (Wayne) Forsythe, Harvey (Linda), Colleen, Garry (Nancy), Ron (Mary Ellen) and Joanne (Trevor) Govender, and extended family of thirty-six nieces and nephews. Numerous aunts and uncles will also miss him dearly. KIMURA , Ritsuko Ritsuko "Rits" Kimura, beloved wife of the late Minoru Kimura, passed away quietly at the Brentwood Nursing Home in Calgary, AB, on Monday, June 8, 2009 at the age of 90 years. She is lovingly remembered by her children George, Mikio, Aiko (Marshall), Phyillis and Vincent; and siblings Sadako Tagami; Toshiyuki, Sakae, Mary (Takayuki) and Susie (Minoru) Saruwatari and Jeannie Takahashi. Rits will be deeply missed by her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rits is predeceased by her loving parents, her loving husband Minoru, son Isao, grandson Jason Marshall, siblings Kashiko, Toshiko (Ikari), Takayuki and Minoru. Rits was born November 15, 1918 in Kumamoto, Japan, the second daughter of Juzo and Ai Saruwatari. Juzo left Japan and immigrated to Canada in 1918 to homestead in Raymond, Alberta. Ai and Rits joined Juzo in Canada on January 2, 1923. Rits ably assisted her father with all manner of farm chores, and her mother in raising her many siblings. If the goodness of an individual is based upon how others shine in her presence, then Rits is truly an enlightened and blessed soul. Her life was lived with "dignity and grace". Funeral Services will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Yasuo Izumi officiating. She is survived by parents Leonard and Geraldine, sisters Ethel-May and Linette, brothers Keith and Joseph, daughters Krystal and Katelyne, grandchildren Robert and Aurora, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and a nephew. She will be greatly missed by family and everyone who knew her.

DOWNIE, Cecilia (Cilla) Helen (Nee Shaw) Surrounded by her family, Cecilia (Cilla) Helen Downie (nee Shaw) passed away peacefully at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline on June 5, 2009 at the age of 72. Adored mother of Colette (Hugh Cheetham), Lorraine (Ken Taylor) and Mandy (Maurice Sheehan). Loving grandmother of Ciaran, Aidan, Jake, Nicole, Drew, Callum and Niall. Sadly missed by her brother John Alexander (Sandy) Shaw. Predeceased by her parents John Charles and Agnes Cecilia Shaw. After completing a medical degree at the University of Aberdeen, Cilla lived in Deep River and Ottawa working at the Ottawa Hospital until 1979 when she returned to Scotland and became a partner at Glenwood Health Centre in Glenrothes. Remembered for her caring nature and loving generosity, Cilla was a world traveller and a keen golfer. Service was held at Falkland Parish Church (Scotland, UK) on Friday, June 12, 2pm.
