Arthur Bouchard, époux de Mme Régina Boivin, demeurant rue St-Hubert, Jonquière. La famille accueillera les parents et amis à la Résidence funéraire du Saguenay 2555 St-Dominique Jonquière le jeudi 26 mars 2009 de 14 h à 17 h et de 19 h à 22 h ainsi que le vendredi 27 mars 2009 à compter de 9 h. Les funérailles auront lieu le vendredi 27 mars 2009 à 11 h à l'église St-Dominique. Après les funérailles, M. Bouchard sera incinéré. Les cendres seront inhumées au cimetière Arvida. Il était le fils de feu Mme Blanche Girard et de feu M. Dorila Bouchard. Outre son épouse, Mme Régina Boivin, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Louise Bouchard, Fernand (Diane Gaudreault), Roger, Denise (Bertrand Voyer), Germain (Line Barette), Benoît (Hélène Levasseur), Gerry, Martin (Dominique Poirier); ses petits-enfants: Annie, Mileine, François, son filleul Stéphane, Danny, Julie, Sylvain, Claudia, Chantale, Sophie, Patrick, Roxanne, Kim et leurs conjoints(es); ses arrière-petits-enfants. Il était le beau-frère de: feu Patrick Boivin (Laurette Blackburn), feu Rose-Anna (feu Nil Desmeules), feu Hubert (feu Madeleine Moffat, Thérèse), feu Léonce (feu Hélène Boily, Jeanne), feu René (Lucienne Allen), feu Fernand, feu Germaine (feu Georges-Henri Bouchard), feu Marie (feu Hector Bilodeau), Aline (Maurice Lavoie). LEVESQUE, Paul Maurice - 1918-2009. Passed away quietly in his sleep at Timmins and District Hospital on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the age of 90. A veteran of the Second World War, he was a physical instructor in Aldershot, England, until volunteering for reinforcement duties in Italy. He served honourably with the Carlton and York Regiment and saw 18 months of front line warfare through Italy, France and Belgium. On April 25, 1945, thirteen days before the end of the war, he was seriously wounded, having his left leg amputated after stepping on a land mine in Holland. Predeceased by his loving wife Helen (2005) and survived by his sister Madeleine of Toronto. Beloved father of Danita (Jules) Girard of St. Catharines, Karen (Mike) Arbour of Niagara on the Lake, Larry (Lise- Anne Tremblay) of Timmins, Gerry (Tuni Dechene) of Timmins, Janice (John) Weber of St. Catharines and Dean (Linda Guiho) of Timmins. BARNWELL, Johanna "Barbara" (nee Grant) In Ottawa, on Sunday, 22 March 2009, at the age of 90. Wife of the late Frederick W.G.G. "Barney" Barnwell; mother of Brian, Grant (the late), Michael and Gregory; sister of Henry "Hank" (the late Rita Wallace), Edwin "Ed" (the late Georgine Cole), Russell (Mary Powers), Marie (Bill Pierce), and Bertha Ann (Brian Long); lived to see four generations of descendants and relations whose gifts and accomplishments have brought her joy and optimism. At Barbara's request, no wake nor funeral will follow, the funds for such rituals, to be redirected instead, to her preferred charities. She has asked that in this obituary a sincere thank-you be expressed to the countless people who have suffused her life with love, learning, care, novelty and humour; a memorial mass in thanksgiving for her life will be offered at Our Lady of Fatima church on a date in April to be announced to the family and friends. Patty is the cherished daughter of Lloyd and Trudy Wilson, sister to Tara Jane (Mark) Rideout, Tricia and Lloyd Wilson Jr., auntie to Ronnie, Liam and Patrick Rideout. Dearly loved by her grandparents Elsie and Lawrence Wilson, Barbara and Victor Richardson. Patty's short journey was full of challenges but she savoured the happy times with her supportive communities. Patty loved her family and countless friends deeply. Patty's outgoing personality, politeness and smile captured many hearts. Patty accomplished numerous awards with her schooling and enjoyed working at Chrysalis, Rehoboth Ministries and L'Arche. Patty wanted her love to be known and skillfully wrote letters to everyone. Her favourite music was Western with a sprinkling of Abba and camp songs. This beautiful lady will be missed by many. VON KNOBLOCH, Waldtraut -1921-2009 Passed away, peacefully on Tuesday March 17, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Cherished mother of Chris and his wife Karen and Sibylle von Knobloch. Much loved grandmother of Kyle and Alex. Predeceased by her husband, Georg. Waldtraut and Georg originally resided in Bamberg, where they raised their family. They later retired to the Haliburton Highlands. Upon Georg's passing, returned to the Kitchener-Waterloo area where she resided at Luther Village. Having grown up as a forester's daughter in Germany, she remained passionate about the natural environment. She was known for her kindness and compassion and will be missed by many. Following Waldtraut's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends were invited to share their memories of Waldtraut with her family during a visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Friday, March 20, 2009, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The memorial service was held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow. HARRISON, Jaki (Jacqueline Isobel Ryder) KGH '58 Peacefully, at home on March 21, 2009, at the age of 72. Beloved wife of the late Malcolm Harrison. Predeceased by parents Harriet (McLean) and John D. Ryder, brother Bill and father-in-law Len (Pop) Harrison. Loving mother of John (Mara) of Perth and Mark (Tanah) of Peterborough. Dear friend of John Allen. Jaki began her nursing career in Smiths Falls, soon moving on to become one of the most dedicated and longest serving office nurses in Perth. She took great pleasure in spending time with her friends enjoying Yoga, Tai Chi, Book Club, NAC trips, as well as lunches and dinners together. She will be sadly missed by her family and by the many friends who have been a special part of her life. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, at the O'Dacre Family Funeral Home, 15 Victoria Street, Perth. SAVILLE, Frank George Passed away peacefully at home Friday, March 20, 2009 at the age of eighty-two, after a brave and dignified fight against medical complications. Son of the late George Henry Saville and Elizabeth Gladys Heaton, and brother to Joyce Saville (predeceased). Beloved husband of 60 years to Joyce Elizabeth Saville (nee Stocoe). Cherished father to Angela Saville (predeceased), Janice Saville Hussein, and father-in-law to Yasin Hussein. Adored by his grandsons Yasser and Omar Hussein. Originally of Stockton-on-Tees, England, Frank Saville lived a full life, working as an engineer abroad, traveling all over the world, and spending the end of his life caring for his beloved pets and gardening. Time may heal the wound but his kindness, wisdom, and perpetual good nature will be missed always. May he rest in peace. ANTOLIC, Josip (Joe) February 25, 1935 - March 19, 2009 Josip (Joe) Antolic of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the age of 74 years. Joe was born on February 25, 1935 in Desinic, Croatia and immigrated to Canada in 1966. Josip was a proud member of the Centennial Branch No. 285, Royal Canadian Legion, and Our Lady of Marija Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church. He was an avid gardener and dancer. Joe is survived by his loving partner Linda Vienneau; sons, John and Boris Antolic; grandchildren, Eric and Nicolas Antolic; sister Stephanie Hruska; niece Joanne Hruska and nephew Steve Hruska.
