MCCLEMONT, Jeanette Marie - Jeanette (Jan) Marie McClemont, beloved wife of William Michael McClemont died Friday, March 13, 2009 in Sarnia, Ontario, peacefully with family at her side, after 57 years of marriage. Jan was born in Hamilton, April 6, 1930 to John and Mary Lukasik. She graduated from Hamilton St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1951. Jan is survived by 3 sons; John Michael and Carmen, London; Todd Porter and Julie, Sarnia; Charles Joseph and Karen, Ancaster; sister Genevieve McInnes, Oshawa; brother Henry, Hamilton; as well as 2 beloved grandchildren, Peter in London, and Elizabeth in Ancaster. Predeceased by son William Peter in 1974. Jan's family is very grateful for the kind and compassionate care she received from the staff of Critical Care, Continuing and Palliative Care of Sarnia's Bluewater Health. Jean (née Nixon) was the beloved wife of the late Donald Crowder and loved mother of Bob (Carol Couture), Donna, Diane and Joyce McKinnon (Donald). LAINESSE (Philippe), Elena November 4, 1916 - March 18, 2009 It is with deep sadness we say goodbye to our dearest mother, grandmother, great- grandmother Elena, who passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her family. She will be sadly missed by her son Roy Philippe (Susan) and daughter Doreen (Brian Brash). JOHNSON, Gertrude, C.N.D. (Sister St. Gertrude of the Sacred Heart) Passed away at Villa Marguerite, Pierrefonds on March 18, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Michael Johnson and the late Catherine Walsh. Her brothers, George, Bernard, Gerald, John, and Howard and her sisters, Ellen Brennan, Geraldine Cholette, and Mildred Macdonald predeceased her. She leaves to mourn her loving sister, Mrs. Teresa Churchill of Port Moody, BC and her brother, Reverend Joseph Johnson, SJ of Pickering ON and many cherished and devoted nieces, nephews and cousins. Sister Gertrude began her teaching career in 1943 in Montreal where she spent many years teaching. Our schools in Ottawa, Toronto and Sherbrooke benefited from her years of teaching. In 1980 she went west to do pastoral minister in Trail, Williams Lake and Cranbrook, BC. She came to Villa Marguerite in February, 2008. The Wake will be held at on March 20, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Vigil service starting at 8 p.m. The Eucharistic Celebration will take place at St. Suzanne's Church, 9501 Gouin Blvd West, Pierrefonds at 10 a.m. on March 21, 2009. Mme Mariette Desrochers Morin décédée le 18 mars 2009 à l'âge de 86 ans À l’hôpital Honoré-Mercier de Saint-Hyacinthe, le 18 mars 2009, au terme d’une vie consacrée à sa nombreuse famille, est décédée à l’âge de 86 ans, Madame Mariette Desrochers, épouse de feu Léo Morin. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Claire (Robert K. McLeod), Pierre, Yolande, Martine, Louise (Michel Robert), Véronique (Guy Robillard), Angèle, Louis, Réal, Simon (Pom Nampanya), Yvan, Anne, Gilles (Deborah Maloy), Guy (Roxanne Poulson), Danielle, Patrick, ses vingt-quatre petits-enfants et onze arrière-petits-enfants. Elle laisse aussi ses sœurs: Martha, Pauline, Armande, Gisèle, son frère Eddy, ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs des familles Desrochers et Morin, de même que plusieurs neveux et nièces, cousins et cousines. Elle était la mère de feu Marie-Paule et la sœur de feu: Florent, Roger, Robert, Gérard, Richard et Côme. La famille recevra les condoléances ce vendredi 27 mars de 14 h à 16 h et de 19 h à 22 h ainsi que samedi, jour des funérailles, à compter de midi au Complexe funéraire Grégoire & Desrochers, 1300 Notre-Dame Est à Victoriaville. Dorothy Pearl Flewelling A funeral service of Nackawic was held on March 13th, 2009 at Nackawic Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Thompson, Rev. Carl and Evelyn Brewer and Rev. Arol Brewer officiating. Music was provided by Carl and Evelyn Brewer as well as a trio of Pam and Stephen Billings and Denise Hoyt. Pianist for the service was Pam Billings. Pallbearers were Clinton Conrad, Merlin Fox, John Maunder, Amos McDermott, Murray McEwen and Marcus Stairs. Interment will be later at Otis Cemetery. A reception followed in the church fellowship room. Dorothy was born at Hawkshaw, NB on August 3rd, 1916, a daughter of the late Harry and Edna (Cronkhite) Quigg. She passed away on March 10th, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. She is survived by her daughter-in-law and son, Judy and Wendell Flewelling; her grandchildren, Mike and Rebecca Flewelling; her great grandsons, Bryden and Taylor Flewelling; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Edna Quigg on August 14th, 1950, her father, Harry Quigg on March 10th, 1959, her husband Fraser L. Flewelling on July 9th, 1968 and her sister Hilda Townsley on October 5th, 2005. Jacqueline Bleau 1921 - 2009 Au Centre d'hébergement Lévis, le 18 mars 2009, à l'âge de 87 ans, est décédée dame Jacqueline Bleau. Née à Québec le 5 mai 1921, elle était la fille de feu monsieur Joseph Clovis Bleau et de feu madame Alma Vézina. Elle était la soeur de feu Paul-Émile (Georgette Marcotte), feu Jeanne (feu Georges Masse) et feu Rita (feu Rolland Tessier). Elle laisse également dans le deuil trois générations de neveux et de nièces. MacKENZIE, Robert Hugh - Peacefully at St. Mary's of the Lake in Kingston on Tuesday March 17, 2009, Bob MacKenzie in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee McCullough). Dear father of Jerry (Suzanne) of Timmins, and daughter Paulette of London, ON. Grandfather to Tracy and Marie-Paul, as well as great-grandfather to Jordyn. LAPOINTE, Muriel Christina (nee Peterkin) - March 29, 1914 - March 18, 2009 Peacefully at Rosebridge Manor in Jasper, Ontario, on March 18, 2009, just shy of her 95th birthday. Daughter of the late Ernest and Jessie (Watters) Peterkin of Ottawa. Beloved wife of Bernard (Bernie) for almost 70 years. Also survived by son Gerry and his wife Joyce. Muriel (Mimi) loved dancing and, in her younger years before the war, operated her own dancing school in Ottawa. She was particularly proud of the numerous medals received for Scottish dancing in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, and being photographed in several dance costumes by Karsh of Ottawa. Following their marriage in 1939, Muriel devoted herself to being a strong supporter of Bernie in his business career. The family cannot say enough about the staff, each and every one, at Rosebridge Manor for their outstanding care and attention to Muriel's needs for the past three years. In addition, the family is most appreciative of the wonderful home care provided, particularly by Jenny Mattice, during a two-year period prior to Rosebridge. Private cremation.
