ZATORSKA, Helena 1936-2009 In Montreal on March 14, 2009 at the age of seventy-two years, Helena Zatorska passed away. Predeceased by her mother, Karolina Dworak and father Tadeusz. Dear mother of Andrzej (Vincenza) and Dr. Tadeusz Surowaniec. Loving grandmother of Joseph, Katherine and Lawrence Surowaniec. Survived by husband Boleslaw Surowaniec and sister Janina (Jan). She was born in Waniow, Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1952 by way of England, Lebanon and Iran. She lived in Montreal until her passing; she will be missed by all. Thanks to the staff at the CHSLD Pavillon Champlain and thanks for the treatment and care she received at the Verdun Hospital. A celebration of her life with her family and friends will be held at on Sunday, March 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, March 16 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. (Rosary at 7 p.m.) Funeral service will be held at the Holy Trinity Church, 1660 Centre Street, on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Fondation Socio-Culturelle Polonaise, C.P. 63601, C.C. MacKENZIE, Dr. Frank Stuart - In loving memory of Dr. Frank MacKenzie who passed away on March 14th, 2009 at his residence. Son of Stuart and Hilma (Anderson of Anderson Museum) MacKenzie both predeceased. Beloved husband of Vivian (Austin). Loving father of Frank Jr. (Susan), Rebecca and Stuart. Cherished Popa Frank of grandsons Stuart Jr. and Alexander and will be remembered by their mother Anne (Levert). Greatly missed by brother Charles (wife Karin) of Newburg. Frank graduated and practiced as a respected Chiropractor in Sudbury for over 40 years. He enjoyed sports and was the president of the Sudbury Tennis Club, vice-president of the Nickel Belt Badminton Club, and vice-president of the Copper Cliff Figure Skating Club. Frank won the All Ontario Badminton Men's Double B Championship. He was fond of horse racing, badminton, tennis and enjoyed a game of bridge. Frank will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family is giving a Memorial Luncheon to honour Frank's life and service on Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 from 12-2pm at St. Stephen's on the Hill, 1248 Lauzon Ave., Sudbury. Mrs. Exilia Mary Young, wife of Harvey Young, of Miramichi, passed away Saturday, March 7th, 2009, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 81. Born in Riviere Du Portage, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary-Louise (Richardson) Legere. She was a member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi, NB. Besides her husband she is survived by one sister, Shirley (Albertine) Thibodeau of Riviere Du Portage. Besides her parents she is predeceased by four brothers; Archie, Willie, John and Luc and by three sisters; Louisa, Odile and Dorka. Mrs. Exilia Young rested at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi with visitation held Monday, March 9th from 7 to 9. KENDALL, Gordon - Passed away at North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at the age of 85 years. Gordon was the beloved husband of the late Anita (née Tremblay). He was the dear brother of James Kendall (June) and will be dearly remembered by his nieces Julia DeGuerre (Peter), Ellen Dool (Tim), Peggy Hurley (Mike) and Lois Donahue and nephew Dr. James D. Kendall (Cathy Campbell). He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends in the North Bay area. He was predeceased by his parents, Ethel and Gordon Kendall and one sister, Phyllis Van Lieran. Gordon was a survey technologist with Trans Canada Pipeline and well known in his field. He was also a WW11 veteran and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 23. Memorial visitation at the MARTYN & SLOAN “Mattawa Chapel” Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by a prayer service. NELSON, Lorraine Joan (neé Loranger) - after an illness, in her 84th year, on Monday, February 23, 2009. Pre-deceased by her parents Elie-Oscar Loranger and Marie-Louise Loranger (Royer), her brothers Georges Loranger and Ted Loranger, her sister Cecile White, and her ex-husband Herb Nelson. Born in Toronto and raised both there and in Sherbrooke, Québec, Lorraine worked at the Otis- Fensom Bofors munitions factory in Hamilton during WW2. She moved to Port Colborne after the war where she raised her family and later co-owned and operated the Colonial Lamp Store and Antique Centre in Ridgeway.
