Rosaire Chartré 1912 - 2009 C'est avec tristesse que la famille Chartré vous annonce le décès de M. Rosaire Chartré, époux de feu Bertha Latulippe. Il est décédé entouré de ses enfants à l'hôpital de l'Enfant-Jésus, le 16 janvier 2009, à l'aube de ses 97 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Claudette (feu Jacques, Noël), Jocelyne (Michel), Géraldo (Céline), Ginette (Roger) et Martial (Marie-Noël); ses petits-enfants: Kathleen, Roseline, Sébastien, Steeve, Gino, Mélanie, Patrick, Geneviève, Valérie, Jean-Philippe, Julie et 9 arrière-petits-enfants. Il est allé rejoindre ses soeurs feu Rita et feu Cécile Chartré, également ses beaux-frères et belles-soeurs: feu Willfrid (feu Paula Boucher), feu Maurice (feu Irène Bruneau), Rita Latulippe (feu Benoit Langlois), Lionel (feu Adélyne Sanschagrin), feu Marcel Latulippe (Lucienne Andrew), Irène Latulippe (feu René Leclerc) et Lilianne Latulippe. Il laisse également les enfants de sa deuxième compagne de vie feu Marguerite Rhéaume, de plus son ami fidèle frère Fernand Savard ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines, parents et ami(e)s. Nous tenons à remercier tout le personnel et résidents du Royaume des aînés à St-Émile, pour l'avoir si bien entouré pendant ses sept dernières années. Finalement, nous sommes reconnaissants au personnel de l'hôpital de l'Enfant-Jésus pour les bons soins prodigués. Mrs. Olga Turchenek March 9, 1922 - January 11, 2009 TURCHENEK, OLGA (nee ANDRUNYK) - Olga passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the age of 86 years. Left to cherish Olga’s memory are her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph; sons Rick Turchenek (Beatrice) of Regina and Terry Turchenek of Cupar; grandchildren, Kim Turchenek (Barb, Natasha & Michael) of Regina, Keri Koch (Peter) of Halifax, NS, Josh and Angie of Victoria, BC; great grandchildren Gabe and Jackson; sisters Myrtle Kowalchuk of Regina and Sue Mosher (Al) of Saskatoon, brother Bob Andrunyk (Elsie) of Saskatoon and sisters-in-law Muriel Andrunyk of Barrie, ON, Jean Turchenek and Pauline Turchenek, both of Saskatoon. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins and friends of the Andrunyk and Turchenek families. Olga was predeceased by her parents Metro and Angeline Andrunyk (nee Mantyka), step-brother Daniel Andrunyk, step-sister Mary Smith and brother Stephen Andrunyk. Olga was born in the Alvena region. She married Joe in 1944 and they operated the family farm at Smuts. Olga taught at Czrnowitz School, a one-room school with Grades K to 12 in the district of Young, SK. Several years later Joe and Olga moved to Saskatoon where she worked in a music store. In 1960 Joe was transferred to Regina as Superintendent of Western Grocers Warehouse and Olga took care of the household and her family. Olga was an avid reader and loved to sew, knit and crochet. She enjoyed gardening, and canned or pickled much of what she grew. She loved being in the kitchen where she spent hours on end baking and making such dishes as perogies, cabbage rolls, sauerkraut and borscht and then made sure that no one left the table before being stuffed. She especially delighted in preparing the specialty Ukrainian Christmas and Easter dishes. Olga was an active member of St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church and was involved with leading the Rosary and proclaiming the readings, and also served as an executive member of the St. Basil’s Seniors’ group, and was a long-time member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League. Olga will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. PRAYERS will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. A FUNERAL LITURGY will be held at St. Basils Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1747 Toronto Street, Regina, SK on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Rt. BRYAN, Raymond “Ray” - Suddenly of a stroke at Bluewater Health Mitton Street Site, Sarnia on Friday, January 16, 2009, Raymond “Ray” Bryan, age 76 of Sarnia. Beloved husband of the late Muriel Doig Bryan (2008). Loving father of Heather Bryan, David Bryan, Patrick Bryan, Shawn Bryan (Shannon Ramey), Elaine Thachuck and the late Michael, and Lynne (Marc) Begin. Cherished grandfather of Justin, Zachary, Courtney, Brittany, Kelsey, Ian and Colin. Survived by sister Eleanor Walenius (Ron) and nephews Bryan, Bruce and niece Bridgette Walenius. Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Margaret. Ray worked as a chemist in numerous capacities at Dupont for over thirty years. He was a longstanding member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club as an avid curling skip, the Sarnia Riding Club for swimming, and was also a enthusiastic bridge and scrabble player. She was a member of Iona Presbyterian Church in Dartmouth. Betty was a kind and loving person and a friend to many people. She enjoyed a good laugh, dancing, gospel music and especially loved all animals, in particular her poodles, Susie and Autumn. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Donald Myers, Dartmouth and her sons, James "Jimmy" Cormier (Natalie), Orlando. Fla.; Dennis Cormier, at home; grandsons, Christian and Cameron Cormier, Orlando; sisters, Myrtle Green, Dartmouth; Joyce White (Blair) Charlottetown, P.E.I.; brother, Ward MacDonald (Diane), Moncton, N.B. and many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as a selfless and devoted member of the Catholic Church and a hard working and honest member of the community. He was cherished and loved by those who knew him.
