Delmar was the husband of the late Sybil Graham (nee MacKay); loving father of Earl Graham, Summerside, and Brian (Susan) Graham, Charlottetown; and grandfather of Alexander Samuel Graham. He is survived by brothers, Jack (Gail), Ontario and Ward (Heather), Shamrock; sisters, Letitia MacDonald, Charlottetown, Helen Gillis, Charlottetown, Aletha (Harold) Larsen, Rose Valley, Flora Graham, Charlottetown and Ethel (Allan) Blatch, Nova Scotia; his brother-in-law, Earl MacKay; and numerous nieces and nephews. COWPER, Sheila G. - FEBRUARY 26, 1932 - DECEMBER 28, 2008 - Sheila Cowper, aged 76 years, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the North Bay General Hospital following an extended illness. Sheila was born and raised in Little Current on the Manitoulin Island, and was the daughter of the late Walt and Jean Glanville. She was a proud Haweater, and appreciated the good times spent with family on the Manitoulin. Sheila enjoyed spending time with her family, with her daughters Nancy, who passed away in July, Peggy, Lynn and with her son, Rob. She was thrilled to have shared in family vacations, especially several trips to Mexico. Her other interests included sewing, knitting, reading, cooking and oil painting. As a member of Emmanuel United Church, Sheila enjoyed her many visits with church members. She was very happy to have recently attended Christmas Eve services at Emmanuel. Sheila was very proud of her years of employment at the North Bay Civic Hospital, and the Plummer Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie. She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter Nancy, her former husband Doug, her sister Audrey, granddaughters Sarah and Heidi, and her friend Lee. Sheila will be lovingly remembered by her children Peggy (David), Lynn (Joel), Rob (Anne), her sister Marj, and grandchildren Chris (Kaelin), Julie (Randi), Steven, Zachary, Hannah, Jason (Viet), Japhy, Elizabeth, Michael and Katie, several nephews and nieces, and the family dog, Cowper. ETTENHOFER, Sylvia Sylvia Ettenhofer passed away peacefully with family at her side on December 28, 2008 at her home in Vista Village in Pincher Creek at the age of 83 years. Sylvia is the loving mother of Len (Shirley) Ettenhofer of Okotoks, AB, Hank Ettenhofer of Calgary, AB, Raymond Ettenhofer of Winnipeg, MB, Elsie (Blaine) Krom of Didsbury, AB and Richard (Lori Jo) Ettenhofer of Pincher Creek, AB. Sylvia is also survived by eleven Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren as well as her brother Oswald Lerach of Pittsburgh, PA; sisters Irma Sawicki of Calgary, AB, Renata Mooney, Hilda Saline, and Elsie Low all from Pittsburgh, PA. She was predeceased by her husband Karl, son Len and grandson Michael. Sylvia was a remarkable woman who was born in Romania and immigrated to Canada with her husband Karl after WWII, residing in Winnipeg, MB. She moved to Calgary with her family in 1973, and eventually moved to Pincher Creek after the death of Karl. Mom will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her. She will be remembered as a kind, caring woman that loved cooking, baking, sewing and spending time with family. A Funeral Mass took place on December 31, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Church in Pincher Creek, AB with Father Eric Nelson officiating. Mr. James William Huckle (CD) July 11, 1930 - December 24, 2008 78. It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of our husband, father, grampy, brother and brother-in-law at his home on December 24, 2008, after a lengthy illness. Jim was born on July 11, 1930, in Chatham, Ont. He was a son of the late Muriel Alzina (Young) and George Henry Huckle. His early education was in Wallaceburg, Ont. At the age of 18, he joined the R.C.N. where he served until 1973 leaving with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. From there, he worked as a civilian at the National Headquarters in Ottawa. Following this he joined the Canadian Frigate Patrol Program in St. John, N.B., for nine years retiring fully in 1993. Jim was a very happy, outgoing individual who had a wonderful sharp mind - excellent in math and computers. He loved woodworking, and remodeling his various homes over the years. He was a avid scuba diver, hunter and skier who started that sport when he was 55. Never afraid of a challenge, he took on the task of raising three teenage stepchildren when he married his second wife, Sue Ann O'Brien, RN, in 1985. He also loved traveling for pleasure with trips to Europe, the Caribbean and Florida. He will forever be missed by his wife, Sue Ann (Conrad) O'Brien-Huckle, RN; his children, daughters, Katherine Fern Higgins (Wayne), Fall River; Cynthia Ann Mohareb (Justin), Milton, Ont.; son, Grantly James Huckle (Peggy), Eastern Passage; sister, Helen Elford Huckle, Innisfil, Ont.; stepdaughters, Kelli Sue O'Brien (Kevin), Mount Forest, Ont.; Tonya Marilyn Thorpe (Kevin), Fergus, Ont.; stepson, Thomas Bradly O'Brien (Laura), Burlington, Ont.; grandchildren, Jennifer Thornton, Nancy Higgins; great-grandchildren, Amber and Paige; stepgrandchildren, Brett, Jesse, Owen, Olivia, Hayley, Taylor, Rachel, all of Ontario; nieces, Ann and Karen; nephew, Bill. SOBOTINCIC, Stelio - In Loving memory of Stelio Sobotincic, Wednesday morning, December 31st, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born on October 27th, 1942 in Fuime, Croatia, he married Katharine in Sudbury, in 1966. Stelio was devoted to his family and derived great joy from his children and grandchildren. As an avid sailor, he and his wife spent many happy summers sailing their boat, the Daystar, on the North Channel. As a member of the Dowling Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Stelio drew great strength from his faith and the fellowship of his many friends. He worked as a stationary Engineer at INCO for over 25 years, retiring in 2005. It was his wish that donations be made to the W.B.T.S. or Sudbury Cancer Center. KORHONEN, Arvo - The family of Arvo Korhonen announces his passing on December 31, 2008 at Extendicare Kirkland Lake at the age of 79 years. During his 32 year career Arvo worked for Walter Little Transport and Dominion Freightways. His brother Leo; sister Irene and spouse Doris nee Menard predeceased him. BIASETTI, Fausta ( née Panecaldo) 1921-2008 - The family announces with great sorrow her unexpected passing on December 31, 2008, at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 87 years. She was born in Cocullo, Abruzzi, Italy and immigrated to Canada in the 1954 and has resided in Timmins ever since. She was predeceased by her loving husband Liberato (1985), her parents Ernesto and Agatha Panecaldo of Italy and her sister Emma Mascioli (2006) also of Cocullo. She leaves behind her dear son Ernesto (Patricia) of Timmins and her grandchildren Ernie Junior (Kelly) of Timmins, Jason of Dawson City, Yukon and Kristina (Bill) McCord of Timmins. She will be dearly missed by her great grandchildren Maija McCord and Brady Biasetti who brought great joy to her life. Fausta leaves behind her beloved niece Edda and nephew Luigi from Italy, cousins Domenic and Donna DeBellis, Larry and Patty DeBellis and Michael and Diana Mayew of Toronto. She also leaves behind numerous dear friends especially Franchina Giannunzio and Guglielmo Ciccone with whom she shared many fond memories. She will be greatly missed by her extended family Anthony (Katherine) Sangiuliano, Dominic (Antonia) Sangiuliano, Nikki Dumoulin (John Dufresne) and Frank Sangiuliano. Fausta will best be remembered for her involvement with the Sacred Heart Church Holy Rosary Society. She was also an active member of the Porcupine Dante Club Ladies Auxiliary. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 10 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. FISHER, Ruth Donalda (formerly Smith) January 1, 1916 - December 28, 2008 Ruth D. Fisher of Calgary passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the age of 92 years, just short of her ninety-third birthday. She was raised in Readlyn, SK and received her Teaching Certificate in Saskatchewan, then taught in Maple Creek, SK before moving to Calgary in 1944. In Calgary, she attended Henderson's Secretarial School, receiving an Honour Certificate in 1946. Ruth went to work for Fairbanks Morris. Later, she joined the Reserves, working in the supply depot. As a Reserve, she reached the rank of Sergeant Major and earned Marksmanship awards for her shooting. After leaving the Reserves, Ruth attended the University of Calgary, and received her teaching degree and taught elementary school classes until her retirement. Ruth had a real zest for life and some of her many accomplishments were oil painting, clogging, drumming, singing and acting. Her love of music took her to St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she was a choir member and also sang with other singing groups. Her biggest love was the Grand Ole Follies, where she sang and performed with the many friends she acquired over the years. She will be truly missed by her family and friends, she was a very special lady. Ruth was always a very independent, caring lady with a generous heart and spirit.
