VITULLO, Luigi. After a lengthy illness, on Monday, December 8, 2008, at the age of eighty-four. He was born July 24, 1924 in Pietrabbondante, Italy, and immigrated to Canada in 1950. Beloved husband of the late Gaetane (Ida) Impala. He leaves to mourn his sons Anthony (Rosanna Ciabattoni) and Nunzio (Martha Visintin), and three granddaughters, Felicia, Adriana and Alessia. He was the elder of his loving and devoted siblings Rosina, Raffaele and Letizia, and the late Vincenzo (Italy). He will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Grace D'Art Extended Care Center for their dedicated care in his final years. CAMERON, Winnifred Mary On December 7, 2008 at the age of 87 years, Winnifred Mary Cameron passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Patrick Joseph Cameron on September 25, 1998. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply and forever missed by her children Lorraine (Stephen), Gordon (Penny), Peter (Sandra), Dawn (Rozali), Martin (Jody), former daughter-in-law Florence, and by her grandchildren Sara, Michelle, Ian, Carolyn, Joel, Ina, Shima, Faizal, Caitlin, Tracy, Cindy, Alexandra, Dylan and Patrick and by her great-grandson James. Winnifred is also survived by her sister Merlyn Stalhmann and numerous nieces and nephews all of Perth, Australia. Winnifred was a devout Catholic and believed without reservation in the power of prayer. She loved to travel and over the years visited the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Croatia, Bosnia, Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia, and did an Alaskan cruise. She loved and was loved by a myriad of friends who will remember her as a gentle, kind and compassionate soul who was always ready to sing, knit for charity, play cards or socialize. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Dr. L. Roode, Dr. B. Huang, and the nursing staff of Unit 47 of the Rockyview Hospital for the kindness and compassion which they extended to Winnifred Cameron. HANISCH, Hanni December 26, 1932 - December 8, 2008 December 8, 2008, a very much-loved mother, wife and oma, left this world to go on top of a mountain. Hanni emigrated from Germany in 1954, were she met the love of her life, Ernst Hanisch. They married in 1956, and were together for fifty-two years. Hanni was a wonderful mother to daughters, Ingrid and Julie, who loved her like crazy. She was also the best oma to Blake and Spencer Dunphy, Anna and Eric Macht, and mother-in-law to Paul Dunphy and Bob Macht whom she loved as her own sons. We all adored her. Hanni spent most of her life in Canada working as a seamstress. She was a perfectionist and her work was fabulous. She made all of her customers happy. Mom also loved to hike in the mountains and was happiest when in the mountains with Ernie. Even in her later years she could scamper to the top of a mountain faster than anyone and we always said she had mountain goat blood in her. Goodbye Mama, we love you and always will. We will never forget you and will hold you close in our hearts forever. No Funeral will be held, but mother's ashes will be sprinkled in the wind on top of a mountain. If desired in lieu of flowers please make a donation to Unit 47 at the Rockyview Hospital, where all on the ward treated her with such love and kindness. SEWERS, David Christopher James July 4, 1933 - December 4, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Sewers on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the age of 75 years after a long and extremely courageous battle with cancer. Dave was born July 4, 1933 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. Dave will be dearly missed by his son Gary, daughter Rena (Nestor) and five grandchildren, Shawn, Brittany, Karli, Jesse, Johanna and his "sudo adopted" daughter Paula Blackwell. He also will be missed by his previous wives, Dale and Mary, although the marriages did not endure, the friendships did. Also his good friend Joe Kozak of forty years. HAYES, Constance Ann (Nee Meating) - (April 27, 1931 - December 8, 2008) - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday December 8, 2008. Connie was in her 78th year and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Connie was born in Maine, USA and lived many years in Montreal where she married Michael Finn and had four wonderful children Steven Finn (Kathy), Deborah Court (Terry), Sandy Dennis (Jody) and Derrick Hayes (Darlene). She was married to Michael for several years and after his sudden death she was married to Paul Hayes. They spent many wonderful years raising their family and were the best grandparents to Sean Finn (Stacey), Christopher Finn (Natalie), Lisa Baxter (Dan), Michelle Watt, Joanna Pirsa (Kristian), Rebecca Dennis, Stephanie Dennis, Tamara Vandewiel. After the passing of Paul Hayes she was truly blessed to be a great-great grandmother to Olivia Finn. She was the last surviving sibling. Connie had three sisters Norma Loughrin (Hugh), Rita McDowell (Tom), Dawn Robins (John); and her only brother Albert Meating (Vivian Roach). Connie happily spent her remaining 5 years with Gil Henderson where she enjoyed many wonderful days at Onondaga Farm. KISH, Robert - Passed away after a brief battle with cancer on Tuesday December 9th, 2008 at the South Lake Hospital, Newmarket at the age of 48 years. Rob is survived by his adoring son Brandon and Brandon's mother Linda; loving brother of Frank Kish, Sue (Jim) Pasick and Rick (Barbara) Kish. Rob was predeceased by his parents Frank and Helen Kish and his nephew Jamie Kish. He will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. CARR, Jean Pearl - At Summit Place on Monday, December 8, 2008. The former Jean Lord, only child born to Helen Mossman (Porteous) Lord and Edward Lord in Frankford, Ontario, in 1925. She was the first generation of her family born in Canada. Jean travelled widely with her parents, who relied upon the railway for employment. During her school years, Jean lived in Frankford, Haliburton, Smithfield, Brighton, Peterborough, Lindsay, Bowmanville and Port Hope. In 1944, Jean married her childhood sweetheart, Harley Carr, in Dauphin, Manitoba, where he was training as a Bombardier. After the war, Jean and Harley moved back to Oshawa and Harley gained employment with General Motors. Harley was transferred to Peterborough in 1952 and remained there for the next 12 years. In 1954, Jean gave birth to Holly, and in 1958, she welcomed a second daughter, Kelly. From Peterborough, Harley's new business with Seagrams took the family to London, and then finally to Owen Sound. Jean was already an employee with Bell Canada and continued with the company until her retirement in 1986. For many years Jean was a member of St. George's Chancel Guild and always enjoyed giving her time ambitiously to volunteering for Meals on Wheels, GBRHC, the King's Daughter's, and other service organizations. She cared for many selflessly and was very proud of her family, which included her adopted daughters, the Terrible Ten. In the last year of her life, she was thrilled to participate in a school project undertaken by the students of the O.S.C.V.I. with residents of Summit Place in which she was able to recall the many places in Canada she had lived as a young girl. She fought many battles in her life including losing her daughter to cancer, a husband not long after, and battled her own breast cancer. For those of us who cared to pay attention, she taught us dignity, humility, grace and even wry humour in the face of adversity. Predeceased by her husband, Harley Ralph Carr, and her daughter Holly Lynne (Carr) Prowd, loved and admired mother of Kelly Carr-Aubin (Norm) and cherished nanna to Emily Prowd, Luc and Hollis Aubin. Cremation will take place at her request. A celebration of Jean's life will be announced at a later date. PACKHAM, George William (Bill) - A resident of Dover Township, William (Bill) Packham passed away suddenly on Monday, December 8, 2008 at the age of 56. Born in Chatham on November 20, 1952, son of Dr. John and Anne Packham of Chatham and the late Barbara (Grainger) Packham (1995). Beloved husband of Melanie (Roberts) Packham. Dear father of Corrine Doolittle and her husband Russell of Blenheim, Rebecca Armstrong and her husband Joseph of Chatham, and Kelsey Packham, at home. Grandfather of Martin Packham, Samantha Doolittle, Cassandra Doolittle, Brayden Doolittle, Bradley Armstrong, and Reid Armstrong. Brother of Caroline MacPhail and her husband Marek Piatkowski of Toronto, and Diane Bradley and her husband Curtis of Pain Court. Son- in-law of Noelle Roberts of Dover Township. Brother-in-law of Gerald and Arlene Lozon & family of Dover Township, Wanda Roberts of Chatham, Star Roberts of Dover Township, and many nieces and nephews. Bill retired in January 2008 as Sr. Constable after 29 years of service with the Chatham- Kent Police Service. He was also the owner/operator of Dover Port-A-John, as well as a Cub Scout Leader for many years, a member of the Dover Rod & Gun Club, and the Imperial Club, Chatham. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Immaculée Conception Church, Pain Court on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Philippe Cemetery, Grande Pointe. DOYLE, John Joseph Clarence The death occurred at Whisperwood Villa on Monday, December 8, 2008, of Mr. Joe Doyle, formerly of King St., Charlottetown, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Gertrude Doyle (nee MacGuigan). Joe is lovingly remembered by his sister, Maureen Fullerton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
