Jean-Louis Poulin Est décédé à la Cité de la Santa de Laval le 2 novembre 2008 à l'âge de 86 ans, monsieur Jean-Louis Poulin, époux de Thérèse Thériault, autrefois de Sept-Iles. II demeurait à Laval. Monsieur Poulin laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Judith (Frédéric Picard), Bruno (Marie¬Josée Bergeron), Conrad (Josée Sauvage) ainsi que ses 5 petits-enfants. Les funérailles auront lieu ultérieurement à Rivière-du-Loup.

FERGUSON, Ivy Mary March 6, 1913 - November 6, 2008 Mum passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the Beverley Centre Lake Midnapore. We are blessed with the memories mum created for us in her lifetime, the importance of family, of community and of all things big and small - the smell of the grass after a rain, the beauty of a rainbow after a storm and the dancing northern lights on a crisp winter's night. Ivy's memories will be forever cherished by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Faye (Wayne) Hleucka of Calgary, Reid (Jo) Ferguson of Vancouver, and Carol (Byron) Close of Okotoks; grandchildren Jasen Hamilton, Shira (Andre) Moore, Sean Close, Carrie Close, and Melanie and Simon Chappell and great-grandchildren Kayne, Alex and Lauchlen. She was predeceased by her brother George (Rene), twin-brother Ivan (Ruth) and sisters Carrie (Gus) and Robina (Walter), and her very dearest of friends Anne Turner. SEMENIUK, Terry November 30, 1947 - November 3, 2008 Terry Semeniuk, beloved husband of Vivian Semeniuk of Calgary, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the age of 60 years. Terry retired after thirty-five years with the UFA (United Farmers of Alberta Co-Operative Ltd.). Eight of those years were spent as president and CEO. He was a Calgary Co-op member for twenty-six years, UFA Delegate to FCL for ten years and currently a Calgary Co-op Board member, and Vice Chair of the Calgary Co-op. He was also a past member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, and the town council. Terry enjoyed spending his free time as an avid antique collector, and had a love of sports. He had an extensive antique bottle collection and was a member of the Bottle Club, and former president, not to forget to mention looking after the numerous Real Estate and farm interests. He also managed to find time to do some private investigations work on the side. He was actively involved with his community including Heritage Park and charities such as Gold Eye, S.T.A.R.S., Alberta Children's Hospitals as well as too many other charities to mention. Terry had passion for his work, but always made time for family gatherings as they meant so much to him. Besides his loving wife Vivian, Terry is survived by his son Kim and daughter-in-law Karina of Calgary; a granddaughter Samantha of Calgary and his mother Katherine Semeniuk. He is also survived by his sister Nina Nakonechny and brother-in-law Alex, his twin siblings, sister Donna Hemeon, and brother Dennis Semeniuk and Sheri, father-in-law Leon St. Arnault, five sister-in-laws, four brother-in-laws as well as by many, nieces and nephews and their families. Terry was predeceased by his father Delmar Semeniuk, his mother-in-law, Marie St. Arnault, and by his nephew Jason Morrison. HOFER-Issiah Jacob Larry late of Arm River Colony. The angels sang a welcome song on the evening of November 8, 2008 as our dear beloved Issiah walked through the gates of heaven. The Lord blessed us with Issiah on August 28, 2005. He was a precious gift that only our dear Lord could give. Issiah died peacefully in the arms of his loving and devoted parents, Glen and Marion Hofer. He will be missed deeply by his caring and very helpful brothers Jordan, Titus and Patrick. They knew that Issiah was special and no chore was too much for them to do as long as it was for Issiah. Also left to mourn the loss of Issiah are his paternal grandparents Rev. Daniel and Katie Hofer of Arm River Colony. Maternal Grandparent Annie Hofer of Donalda Colony, also numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and caregivers that were a big part of Issiah's short life. JUNE NAGEL- It is with great sadness that the family of June Nagel announces her passing on November 5, 2008 at Cypress Lodge in Maple Creek, SK. Mom was born in Melfort and raised in Saskatoon, SK. She lived all her adult and senior years in Regina and her last year comfortably in Maple Creek, SK. She was predeceased by her former husband and friend Fred Nagel in September 1999; and son Michael in April 1974. June is survived by her daughters Michelle (Gord) Luchia of Okotoks, AB and Melody (Greg) Nagel-Hisey of Maple Creek, SK; cousin Adrienne Lof, who lived with June and her family for over 50 years; brother Earl (Rolie) Greenwood of Saskatoon; and sister Ferne (Bob) Archer of Vancouver, BC. Left to cherish June's memory is her family, relatives, many close friends, nieces and nephews. June will be well remembered for her many, many years as the manager of the Darling Hat Shop, Hollingsworth, Grey's Apparel and Ricki's Ladies Wear in Regina. TRENKER-Constance Maybelle (May) passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her sister, Florence Moats. May will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Tony; children, Bill, Ray (Becky), Tom and Don; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Smart, as well as her large extended family and many friends. An integral part of May's life was her very active involvement in her church and spiritual community. Her faith was a living example to many. JESSOP, Agnes Helen Nan Jessop passed away on September 29, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Don, her parents Henry and Helen Williamson, brothers Harry, Bill, Hugh and Danny. Survived by her three daughters, Donna, Brenda (Jim) and Linda (Cal), grandchildren, Don (Kym) and Teresa, great grandson Hunter, sister Grace, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in Great Britian. Nan grew up in Stranraer, Scotland. She met Don when he was stationed nearby and they were married in 1946. They came to Canada and settled in Victoria where they raised their daughters. She took pride in her work at the old Victoria General Hospital and gave many hours of her time to helping others, particularly at the Gorge Road Hospital after her retirement. But her family came first. Nan loved her family very much, always ready with a word of advice or a helping hand. Mum loved nothing more than to see her whole family together for Sunday dinner. Her family and many friends will miss her energy and enthusiasm for life. Many thanks to Dr. Donaldson and the staff of Fairfield Unit at Glengarry Hospital for your kindness and excellent care during Nan's final years. MOONIAS, Frederick Daivd 2008-11-10 On and about 2:30 a.m. November 5, 2008, Frederick Daivd Moonias was found dead outside of his dwelling at 109-170 West Donald Street Apartment Complex where he resided. Frederick, better known as Fred, was born on January 16, 1979 in Sioux Lookout Zone Hospital, Sioux Lookout, Ontario. In his early childhood, he was raised in Neskantaga and attended school there. Before his accident, he attended high school in Sault Ste. Marie for two years. He loved fishing, hunting and playing sports like hockey and baseball very much up until his near fatal crippling brawl that incapacitated or immobilized him from participating in the activities he enjoyed. Fred was helpful to his family, friends and relatives and enjoyed fixing family’s skidoos and he also liked to draw and do artwork. In spite of Fred’s disability, he continued to prosper by enjoying good times and contact with his family, relatives and friends. Although Fred was confined to a wheelchair, he never complained about his disability. He appeared to be happy and enjoyed life as much as he could. Frederick leaves behind his grandparents Norman and Susan Moonias; parents David and Daisy Moonias; his brother Clayton Moonias (Marilyn Waswa) and their children Cheyenne Kaylene, Landon and Lamar Moonias and brother Terrance Moonias; sister Doreen (Billy Shewaybick) and their children Desmond Moonias, Lazarus, Kimberly and Jocelyn Shewaybick and sisters Melanie and Roxanne Moonias; four maternal uncles and two maternal aunts, five cousins and their 32 children; eight paternal uncles and 8 paternal aunts, 33 cousins and their 43 children. HASICK, Jack Frank March 9, 1924 - November 7, 2008 Jack Hasick, beloved husband of Nancy of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2008, surrounded by his family at the Southwood Hospice, at the age of 84 years. Jack was born in Hamiota, Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg where he began his fifty plus year career in the HVAC/R industry. With twenty years in the corporate world and thirty plus with his own agency, Jack was involved with many industry related organizations such as the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, where he became International President, and as a leading fund raiser for the SAIT Polytechnic - Mechanical Trades program. In addition to his business network, Jack volunteered for Heart to Heart - a cardiac care support group - and was a member of Probus. True to his giving nature, Jack could always be found helping out on various projects and committees at the churches he supported over the years. Jack was a dedicated family man, who always had time to support his sons and grandchildren in their many activities, despite the hectic demands of his business commitments. Jack is survived by his loving wife Nancy; son Murray (Teresa) and their son Colin, son Gordon (Janet Major), and their children Walter, Aidan, and Sasha. GERMAIN-William (Bill) Germain, born Wasyl German on October 24, 1919, passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina on November 7, 2008, just a few weeks after celebrating his 89th birthday. Mr. Germain is survived by his three children, Adam (Dianne) Germain of Edmonton, Elaine Husk (Germain) of Regina and Gwen (Gerry Mowatt) Germain; seven grandchildren, Jay Husk, Darryl Husk, Tamye (Jason) Dunbar, David Vansickle, Sean (Talara) Germain, Sheldon (Gerarda) Germain, Scott (Leanne) Germain; and six greatgrandchildren. He is also survived by his three sisters, Lena Paulenko of Winnipeg, Vera Waller of Thunder Bay and Dora Unguarian of Russell, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his wife, Eva and three brothers, Jimmy, George and Fred. Mr. Germain was born and raised on a farm in the Inglis Russell area of Manitoba. He was a Second World War veteran who came to Regina in the mid 50s and lived in Regina up to his death. He worked as a dry cleaner and later a custodian at the Medical Arts Building. He was an optimistic individual with a mischievous smile, an infectious laugh and a song on his lips. He embraced life to the fullest. Despite the pain he endured his last few months, he never stopped smiling, laughing, or singing. Mr. Germain was an active member of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Regina and the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Club. He leaves behind many friends and family to mourn his passing. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church, 1770 St. John Street, Regina with Rev. Fr. John Maerean officiating.
