Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Daniel (Louise Roy), Sonia (Gilles Bénard), Alain (Dominique Létourneau), Marlène (Donald Ferland), Nathalie (Larry Trottier) ; ses petits-enfants : Guillaume, Majorie, Daphney, Kyera, Mélysandre, Dimitri, Mégane, Jordan, Maïté, leurs conjoints et conjointes ; ses sœurs Julienne et Catherine ; ses frères Bernardin et Roland, ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs, neveux et nièces, ainsi qu’autres parents et amis. Née le 25 janvier 1931, elle était fille de feu Joseph Deschênes et de feu Denise Arsenault. GODDARD, DR. OSWALD "OSSIE" T. -The death of Dr. Oswald T. Goddard of Saint John, NB, husband of Joyce (Miller) Goddard, occurred on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Trinidad on January 8, 1934, he was a son of the late Alfred and Pauline (O'Kieffe) Goddard. Ossie graduated from St. Mary's College in Trinidad, McGill University and University of Montreal with a degree in Optometry and practiced optometry for over 33 years in Saint John. He was a member and past-president of the Westfield Golf Club and was a member of the Rothesay Tennis Club. A dignified gentleman, who was a real people person, he loved dancing and was an avid reader, golfer and enjoyed music. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three daughters, Janice Goddard of Montreal, QC, Jennifer Shepphard and Heather Goddard, both of Vancouver, BC; four sisters, Marie Gill, Josephine Bell, and Gwendolyn Quincy, all of Trinidad, and Edna Murray (Winston) of Tobago; five grandchildren, Reynall Garnett, Tamla Murray, Emily, Joy and Benjamin Sheppard; several nieces and nephews. ALLABY, WAYNE BLAIR JAMES - The death of Wayne Allaby of Saint John, NB, husband of Brenda (Blizzard) Allaby, occurred on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Plaster Rock, NB on January 19, 1950, he was the son of the late Gordon and Janet (Bridge) Allaby. Wayne was a very dedicated man in every thing he did. He spent many years as a truck driver until his retirement. Wayne loved sports and also liked to occasionally play a game of bingo. He is survived by his loving wife Brenda; two sons, Richard (Jennifer) and Bruce (Yvette), both of Saint John; one daughter, Kim (Tom) Allaby of Saint John; five brothers, Gordon (Dorothy) Allaby of Hamilton, Ontario, Windsor Allaby (Maxine) of Sussex, Randy Allaby (Fern) of Musquash, Warren Allaby (Gail) of Fredericton, and Ronnie Allaby of Plaster Rock; three sisters, Myrtle Matheson of Whitehorse, Yukon, Maxine Melvin (Daryl) of Pennfield, and Rose Marie Allaby of Plaster Rock; grandchildren Tiffany, Josh, Jordan, Justin, Jacob, Jaylyn, Keenan, Caleb, Bradley, Alex, Samantha, and Tara; his mother-in-law, Ida Blizzard; and several nieces and nephews. MOORE, RAYMOND CHARLES The death of Raymond C. Moore occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday, July 20th, 2008 at the age of 73. Born in Rusagonis, NB he was the son of the late Philip and Elizabeth (Smith) Moore and husband of the late Betty (Carr) Moore. Raymond loved Rusagonis and spent most of his life there. He worked in many capacities through the years such as working in lumber mills until he took a job with NB Power where he remained for several years. Later, and until his retirement, Raymond worked at the Oromocto Public Hospital in Housekeeping. Raymond enjoyed his family immensely, especially his nieces and nephews who always lovingly called him "Uncle Hoss." He is survived by his siblings, Jacqueline McLaughlin of French Lake, Gilbert Moore (Barbara) of Rusagonis, Eva Warman (Roy) of Nevers Road, Patricia Dee of Rusagonis, Carl Moore of Rusagonis and Sharon Stennick (David) of French Lake. He will also be sadly missed by his several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. CALDER, John Andrew Sr. 1932 - 2008 John Andrew Calder Sr. passed away at the Foothills Hospital on July 18, 2008 at the age of 76 years. Jock will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Catherine of fifty-six years; children: Linda Schaber (David Schellenberg), John Calder (Denise), Pat Calder (Susan), Susan Ballendine (Scott), Karen Calder (Rob Brandley), Sandy Rautenberg (Craig) and Ron Calder (Theresa Herron); nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and sisters: Mary Jones, Vesta Guss and Doreen Mallory. Jock was born on February 1, 1932 in Wayne, Alberta. As a young man, he worked in the coal mines alongside his father. At the age of twenty years, Jock met Catherine and they were married on June 21, 1952. They moved to Calgary in 1956 to raise their family. He worked for many years in the oil and gas industry. Jock had a passion for driving and at the age of fifty-five years, he began Jock's Trucking, providing a service to the oil and gas companies in and surrounding the Calgary area. Being a family man and raising his seven children gave him much enjoyment. He was a member of the Atlas Coal Mine Historical Society. Jock worked hard all his life and was very proud of his many accomplishments. The family would like to thank the staff at Aspen Lodge and the Foothills Hospital for their care and compassion. HUNTER, Grace Rosemarie - On July 18th, our wife, mother, grandma and friend, Grace Rosemarie Hunter, died peacefully at the age of 67, after a courageous battle with cancer. We are left with sweet memories of her presence in our lives; memories of colourful gardens, rummoli nights, laughter with grandkids, warm Florida breezes, dinner celebrations with close friends and crafty creations. She will be joyfully remembered by her husband of 43 years, Peter, her son Rex and his wife Lina, and daughter Kim Spencer and her husband Chad. HARRIS, Mrs. Katherine (nee Sibbick) - of London passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2008 in her 82nd year. Devoted mother of Elizabeth of London and Paul (Nicole) of Quebec, and loving grandmother to five grandchildren. Katherine was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (1945). Following the untimely death of her husband, she acquired a teaching certificate from London Teachers College and taught Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten for the London Board of Education for 24 years. Katherine was a devoted member of Wortley Baptist Church and after retirement faithfully served in several volunteer organizations. GOGGAN, JAMES JOSEPH-Peacefully at home in Whitby, ON on July 19, 2008. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years Theresa on March 5, 2008. Father of James (Terri) of Courtice, ON, Paul (Doreen) of Oshawa, ON, Michael (Mary) of Toronto, ON, Theresa (Bill) Vermulst of Whitby, ON and Kevin (Cindy) of Saint John, NB. Grandfather to Nikki (Adam), Steven, Bill, Lindsay, Joseph, Lori, Michael, Alison, Katherine and Alexandra. Great-Grandfather to Alexander and Lauren. Son of James Goggan (d.1936) and Jane (Couglan, Goggan) Currie (d.1976) of Saint John, NB. Born in 1925 on Harrison Street in Saint John, Jim lost his father to TB at the age of 11. He had many fond memories of living with his cousins of Horgan's Bakery. Enlisted in the Army in 1943, he trained at Camp Borden, ON. Jim went to work at Lantic Sugar in 1947. While working as a sugar boiler, he was strongly involved in the union, serving as Treasurer and eventually President. Theresa and Jim raised their family in Saint John, NB, moving to Oshawa (Westcane Sugar) in 1973 and Whitby in 1985. He retired from Lantic Sugar of Oshawa in 1988 as Superintendent of Shipping. Jim and Theresa valued family vacation and traveled to Maine and Quebec in the 50's. Jim hand built a cottage on Bradley Lake, NB in 1960, floating the lumber across the lake due to lack of an access road. Jim and Theresa traveled to St. Petersburg, Florida every year from the mid 70's until recently, making many long-time friends. Jim loved snooker & pool, a good cigar, a book, and debating the issues of the day. No treasure on earth could replace the time he spent with his family and friends. The love Dad shared with our mother and their combined strength in the face of life's challenges leaves us stronger, but never alone. Their wisdom will always be with us. Friends will be received at St. Leo's Catholic Church 130 Watford St., Brooklin Ontario on Friday July 25th, 2008 at 10:30 am for Mass of Christian burial. LACOMBE, Constance 1937-2008 À Repentigny, entourée des siens, est décédée le 20 juillet dernier, madame Constance Lacombe, épouse de monsieur Jean-Guy Cloutier. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Françoise, Mario, Claude, Bobby, Nicole et Guylaine, ainsi que ses petits-enfants et plusieurs amis.
