ANIKEJEW, Dora - Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Sunday, July 13th, 2008 at the age of 76. Loving wife of the late Peter. Dear mother of Nina (Dave) Macklem, Olga Hamilton-Jansen and Peter (Shelley). Loving BaBa of Jordan, Erin (John), Karen, Laura, Peter, Benjamin and Kelly. She will be greatly missed by her companion “Puss“. Dora was a devoted mother and BaBa who lived for her family. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling. ROGOZINSKI, Adam - Passed away at Bella Senior Care Residence, on Sunday July 13, 2008 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of the late Marion Rogozinski (2004). Dearly loved and devoted father of Jim (Beverley) Rogozinski of Ridgeway, Rick Rogozinski of London and Diane (Bill) Smith of Mequon, Wisconsin. Cherished grandfather of Melissa (Steve) Burdick and Amanda (Jeff) Wilson. Loving great- grandfather of Jessica, Brittney and David Burdick, Kayla and Jacob Wilson. Predeceased by his granddaughter Jennifer (2002). Mr. Rogozinski was a machinist by trade and worked for Chisholm-Ryder Abrasives and the Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls, New York before going to General Motors in Buffalo where he retired in 1989. He had also served with the United States Navy during World War II. He had also been a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of the Scapular Church. BOSS, Jessie Rebecca Mae - Loving and caring to all, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle at the Brantford General Hospital. WORMALD, Reverend Arthur - Passed away peacefully at Kingsville Court Retirement Home on July 12, 2008 with his family by his side at 82 years of age. Beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Ampolsky) with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage. Loving father of Arthur Roy and wife Antonia, Walter and wife Carol, the late Sylvia Carol (2001), Norman Wormald, and Millicent Wormald and husband Neil Arner. Treasured Poppa of Carolyn Arner. Brother of Madeline Cooper. Also survived by Sandy Green, Terry and Jan Green, Robin Fitzpatrick, and Marilyn Shingleton as well as many great-nieces and nephews. Arthur served in the RCNVR during WWII as a Telegraphist. He served as a missionary for 11 years in Bolivia, South America. Arthur was one of the founding members of the Southern Cross Radio Station. He was an ordained Pastor of the Canadian Baptist Ministries. Arthur was a teacher and guidance counsellor for the Hamilton Board of Education until retirement. WAYTENA, Robert - It is with great sadness that we convey the untimely passing of Bob on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the age of 49. Bob will be greatly missed by his loving wife and best friend Lisa. Bob was so proud of his two sons, Matthew and Jeremy, and his daughter-in-law Shaina. He was a wonderful and devoted father. Bob was greatly anticipating the impending birth of his first grandchild Ryker. Grandpa Bob spent many hours helping to prepare Ryker's nursery. Bob was the loving son of Peter and Mary Waytena, and brother of Susan (George) McCleary. MARCIA FELIX Monday, July 14, 2008 Marcia Felix, 99, of Rainycrest Long-Term Care, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Friday, July 11, 2008 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances. She was born May 20, 1909 in Skala, Ukraine to the late Michael and Pauline Momotiuk. Marcia came to Canada with her family when she was very young, and the family settled in Winnipeg, Man. On Aug. 28, 1937, she was united in marriage to Albert Felix and later moved to Fort Frances, where she has resided since. Marcia was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, the St. John’s Women’s Guild, and also the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #29 Ladies Auxiliary. Throughout the years, Marcia loved attending church with family and friends, and also attending meetings with her groups. Her family was the most important part of her life. “Nana,” as she was lovingly referred to by her family, loved gardening at her home at 127 Fourth St. W. in earlier years. She also loved music and would sing Ukrainian lullabies to her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends alike. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Felix; son, Albert Felix Jr.; step-son, Wesley Felix; brother, Frank Momotiuk; and three sisters, Nellie Fundytus, Julie Boychuk, and Pearl Melnyk. Nana is survived by two daughters, Gloria and husband, Bill Gadd, of Fort Frances, Ont., and Frances and husband, Irving Bird, of International Falls, Mn.; grandchildren, Randy Bird and wife, Cathy, Cheryl and husband, Bart Brellenthin, Catherine and husband, Todd Bruyere, Bill Gadd Jr., Stephen Felix and wife, Shae, and Tamara and husband, Dereck McLean; great-grandchildren, Brian and Brandon Bird, Lauren and Logan Bieter, Nicholas Brellenthin, Jordan, Katelyn, and Joelle Bruyere, Nicole, Cohen, and Piper Felix, and Rhyan and Hunter McLean; and nieces and nephews. ARSENEAU, Aurèle - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Thursday, July 10th, 2007 at the age 89 years. Son of the late Frederick and of the late Marianne (née Robichaud) Arseneau. KUJANEN, Kauko Matias - In loving memory of Kauko Matias Kujanen, 79 years, who passed away Saturday, July 12th, 2008 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Born in Alaharma, Finland, Kauko worked as a miner at the INCO Frood Stobie Mine for 33 years, retiring in 1984. Throughout the years, Kauko enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, blueberry picking, fishing, spending time at the summer camps of his friends, watching hockey and the winter Olympic games. He always enjoyed visiting with his grandchildren. Kauko came to Canada when he was a young man but he never forgot his roots in Finland. The family wishes to thank the Palliative Care Unit Staff for the compassionate care that they provided in Kauko's final weeks. Beloved husband of Raili (Viianen) Rujanen of Val Caron. SKEAD, JUNE - The death of June (Sansom) Skead of Whites Cove, NB, wife of late Andrew William Skead, occurred on Friday, July 11th, 2008 at her residence. Born in Moncton, NB, daughter of the late Theodore and Gladys (Forbes) Sansom. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Church in Fredericton. June is survived by her three sons, Gordon (Katherine) of Fredericton, NB, Jon (Lora) of Saint John, NB, and Duncan (Colleen) of Campbell River, BC, and daughter-in-law, Jeann Skead of Fredericton, NB; eight grandchildren, Rob, Chris, Kate, Andy, David, Jessica, Scott and Jonathan; one brother, Robert Sansom (Moira) of London, ON and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Andrew; one son, Bill; one brother, Reginald Sansom and her sister-in-law, Allison Sansom. FISHER, NAIDA ANITA (NEE RANKINE) - The death of Naida Anita Fisher occurred on Friday, July 11, 2008 at the Northland Pointe Nursing Home, Port Colborne, Ontario. Born in Browns Flat on March 30, 1912, she was the daughter of the late James and Lulu Rankine. She is the widow of Douglas Fisher and is survived by her three children, George and Sheila Sands, Scarborough, ON, Linda Sands of Oakville, ON and Clyde and Verna Sands of Sussex Corner, NB; six grandchildren; and her two nieces, Carole Dianard and Kathryn Bridgeman. She was predeceased by her first husband, George Lewis Sands and her sister, Patricia Marks. Following cremation, a private interment will be held at Browns Flat Cemetery. Sons, Ovila (Louise) of Montreal, Robert (Debbie) of Moncton, Jean Paul of Baie Ste Anne, Roger of Montreal, Gerard (Lynn) of Miramichi, Rosaire (Lorraine) of Moncton, Marcel (Bev) of Bay Du Vin. Sisters, Dorina Maillet (Rene) of Massachusetts and Claudette (Jean-Jacques Morin) of Montreal. Brothers, Allain (Angela) of Moncton and Rodolphe of Baie Ste Anne. Fourteen Grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by sisters, Delima, Neomise, Laurine, Merita and Eva. Brothers, Leonard, Alfred and Hector. McMANUS, Joseph 2008-07-14 MCMANUS Mr. Joseph Richard McManus (Mack) 66 years old of Black Sturgeon, Ontario passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at St. Joseph‘s Hospice. Joe began his colourful life in Yarmouth Nova Scotia in 1941, moving to Nipigon in 1956. Joe was a jack of all trades, working as a truck driver, guide, driller, pipefitter, farmer, and renovation Entrepreneur, among other ambitions! Joe retired from Jerry‘s Jobsite Trailers. Joe loved the great outdoors camping, fishing, hunting, prospecting and exploring every chance he could. He loved the freedom that the bush provided. Joe was predeceased by his mother Mary Lydia (Duroshier), McRae stepfather Arthur Duroshier, stepfather George McRae, sister Marily in infancy, brother-in-law Rudy Kalupar, uncle John Trafiak, special great aunt and uncle Dolly and Fred Muse. Joe is survived by 2 sons Paul (Lauri) McArthur, Grand Forks, B.C., Mike McArthur, Thunder Bay, 1 daughter Susie McManus, Lumby, B.C. Sisters Joan Kalupar, Winnipeg, Marie (John) Zamojski, Thunder Bay. Grandchildren Jake, Jonathon, Anthony McArthur. Aunt Millie Trafiak, Winnipeg and Lenora Bent, Peggy‘s Cove, N.S. Georgina Marie O'Brien Mrs. Georgina Marie O'Brien, widow of George O'Brien of Renous NB, passed away Wednesday July 2, 2008, at Dr. George Dumont Hospital, at the age of 86. Born in Doaktown NB, she was the daughter of the late George & Agnes (Turner) Layton. She was a homemaker, a member of St Bridget's Roman Catholic Church and a member of Renous Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by one daughter, Catherine O'Brien of Douglastown; one son, Nicholas O'Brien (Vivian) of New York; two sisters, Rena Faulkner (George) of Hamilton ON; Berniece Craft of Saint John; one daughter-in-law, Kathy O'Brien; two grandchildren, Christopher & Jacob. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one son, Terrance. Mrs. Georgina Marie O'Brien rested at Father Murdock Memorial Room, Renous, with visitation on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. from St Bridget's Roman Catholic Church, with Monsignor Joseph Woods officiating, assisted by Father Vincent Donovan. Organist Blanche Donovan led the church choir with "Here I Am Lord", "In the Sight of the Angels", "Shelter Me O God", "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman", "Songs of the Angels" and "I Believe in the Sun".
