HENRY, JACK - Mr. Jack Henry of Apohaqui passed away on May 9, 2008 at the age of 85. He was the son of the late Charles and Daisy (Killiam) Henry. Jack is survived by Kay, his beloved wife of 66 years; his daughter, Jean of Fredericton, two half brothers, Earl and Gerald; and by his half sister, Gloria; as well as by several nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his son Vincent in 1973; and by two brothers Charles and Robert. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held from Norton Wesleyan Church on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 11:00 am followed by the interment at Riverbank Cemetery.

DICKENS, DOROTHY MAE (nee JONES) (February 28, 1909 - May 01, 2008) - In her 100th year, Dorothy left us peacefully to join many family and friends who had gone on before her. We say good bye to our loving Aunt, Great Aunt, Godmother, and a truly wonderful lady. We will cherish the memories of a model, dancer, milliner, caregiver who lived life to the fullest and in the grace of God. A private family service was held Tuesday, May 6, 2008.

STARKEY, BRIAN WILSON - It is with profound sadness that the family of Brian Wilson Starkey of Nerepis announces his untimely passing at the age of 59. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth (nee Moore) Starkey; and his two daughters, Meghan and Brianna, his greatest source of joy and pride. He is also survived by his father, Ken Starkey of Grand Bay-Westfield; brothers, Carl (Josie) of Chipman and Gary (Lorna) of Nerepis; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Moore of Welsford; and father-in-law Archie Moore of Ridgewood Veteran's Wing, Saint John; brother-in-law, Gary (Liette) Moore of Douglas; sister-in-law, Dawn (Harold) Miner of Titusville; nephews and nieces Jonathan, Jeffrey, Leanne, Jillian, Adam, Alyson, and Courtney; and also Anne Moore, David Ganong, and Nick Cunningham. Brian was predeceased by his mother, Audrey (Huskins) Starkey, and Opal Collings. Brian was a loyal and dedicated heavy equipment operator for the Department of Transportation for 36 years. He found humour and joy in life's simplest pleasures, and will live forever in our hearts. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West, with visiting on Monday from 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. ST. AMAND, GERALD NORMAN - The death of Gerald St. Amand of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Marie St. Amand, occurred on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Grand Falls, NB, he was the son of Rose (Desjardins) St. Amand and the late Martin St. Amand. Gerald loved to spend time woodworking, golfing and sailing. REID, ANNABELLE - The passing of Annabelle James Reid occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital on May 9, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Lillian Cooke. Predeceased by late husband, Gordon Malcolm James. She is survived by her husband, Thurston Ronald Reid; four sons, Gordon (Joyce) James of Hamilton, Robert (Gail) James of London, Kenneth James of Louisiana and Lawrence (Martha) James of Bocabec; three daughters, Sylvia (Elden) Merchant of Bocabec, Lillian Johnson and friend Donald Mann of Keswick and Cindy (Victor) Hooper of Bocabec; twenty two grand children; thirty seven great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters. A memorial service will be held at the St. George Seventh Day Adventist Church on Monday, May 12th 2008 at eleven a.m. with a reception to follow at the church.

Lucien A. St Onge 1933-2008 MIRAMICHI, NB - Lucien Azarie St Onge, long time companion of Grace Jones, of Winnipeg Crescent, Miramichi Retirement Community, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital, on Friday morning, May 9, 2008, at the age of 75. Born in Montreal, Quebec, on January 8, 1933, he was the son of the late Hilarion and Imelda (LaFreniere) St Onge. He was a pipefitter by profession and worked in the construction industry. He was Roman Catholic by faith. He is survived by two daughters, Anne Marie St Onge, of Montreal, Que., and Sylvie St Onge, of Toronto, Ont.; two sons, Claude St Onge and Bruno St Onge, both of Montreal, Que.; his companion for over thirty-five years, Grace Jones and her children, Betty Anne Turnbull (Bill), of Miramichi, Robert Jones (Sheena), of Miramichi, David Jones (Karen), of Calgary, Alta., Terry Jones (Dorothy), of Miramichi, Brian Jones (Bev), of Miramichi. As per Lucien's request, there will be no visitation prior the the funeral. POISSON, Gerald Paul Jr. 'Gerry' - In his 63rd year, on April 26, 2008, sadly, our brother Gerry passed away at home in Merrysville, Louisana, in the loving care of his wife Faye. Gerry was the son of the late Gerald Paul Poisson & Thelma (Diesbourg); he was the grandson of Colonel Dr. Paul & Gertrude Poisson and Frank & Isobel Diesbourg. Gerry was the youngest of nine children and is predeceased by brother Frank and sisters Sue, Nancy and Mary. He is survived by 4 brothers: Pierre of Laguna Beach, California, Doug of Windsor, Ontario, Steve of Meaford, Ontario, and Don of Tucson, Arizona. He was blessed with 4 children: Elizabeth, Victoria, Brian and Patrick; and 6 grandchildren: Jacob & Morgan, Brooke & Brendan, Noah & Lily. Gerry started his life in Tecumseh, Ontario and grew up on a farm in Puce. He then pursued many careers in the U.S.A., including serving 2 tours of duty with the army in the Vietnam War. GARLAND, Martin Paul - Suddenly while jogging near his home on May 7th in Mooresville, North Carolina. Beloved husband of Kim (Edwards) of Fort Erie. Devoted father of Olivia and Emily Rose. Precious son of Paul and Marion of Sarnia and son-in-law of Ken and Anne Edwards. Greatly missed by sisters Anne (Paul) Siegel and Catherine (Virgil) Hill, with their children Kristen and Laura Siegel and Grant and Maxwell Hill. Also mourned by brother- in-law Ken (Fiona) Edwards. Martin was born on September 30, 1966 in Liverpool, England and moved to Canada with his family in 1969. He received his schooling in Windsor and Sarnia (St. Pats) and graduated from UWO with a B.Sc (Econ). He passed the Canadian Securities Course with distinction and gained an MBA from the University of Syracruse. The family moved to Mooresville, N.C. in 2006. He had a promising career ahead of him, but it was not to be. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. STEWART, Lloyd George, “Stewie“ - on May 8, 2008 at Princess Gardens Retirement Residence, Peterborough; a feisty Prairie boy to the end. Born in Craik, Saskatchewan on January 5,1921 to Marion Lees and George Stewart. Pre-deceased by his parents and brothers Gordon, Sonny, and Doug, and sister Betty. Stewie joined the RCMP as a young man, and served with the force during WWII in Sicily, Italy and Holland. Following the war, he married and had everlasting devotion to Zella Wiebe (deceased 1993). Loving father of George (Ellie) of Peterborough, Jock of Toronto and Laurie Strauss (Alan) of Nevada. Grandpa of Erin (Mathieu) and Zoe Stewart of Peterborough and Nick (Tracey) and Noah Strauss of Burnaby. Great-grandpa of Lucy Lavoie. After a 25 year career in the RCMP, Stewie enjoyed a second career as head of security for Canadian Kodak. In later years Stewie was an avid curler, Past President of the RCMP Veteran's Association and also travelled to Europe with Zella, and later with son, Jock to celebrate the liberation of Holland and revisit memories of the Second World War. For the past year and a half, Stewie was very fortunate to be supported by a wonderful Circle of Care; his crew of caregivers: Pam Star, Sarah Nolan, Tillie Aardema, Chantelle Marcoux, Renee Rochford, Olga Hartwig, Anne Fischer, Brooke Stevens and Erin Ladd, his faithful canine companion, Tup and the compassionate staff at Princess Gardens. GINN, Evelyn Crowdy (nee Noseworthy) - On Friday, May 9, 2008 Evelyn Crowdy Ginn (nee Noseworthy) suddenly and peacefully passed away at the age of 91. Surrounded by her loving family she went to rest with her beloved husband Harvey Albert Ginn predeceased in 1985. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her children Alma Brown and friend Rodger, Gerald and Betty Ginn, Olive and Earl Taylor, Ruth and Cliff Coleman, Victor and Edie Ginn all of Sarnia, Betty and Gary Cress of British Columbia, Daughter-in-law Kay Ginn of Alvinston. One brother and sister-in-law Roy and Maryann Noseworthy of Calgary. She had many relatives throughout Newfoundland. She will be deeply missed and always remembered by her 27 grandchildren and also great-grandchildren and great great- grandchildren. Evelyn is predeceased by her son Ronald Ginn 2004, Son Robert Ginn, daughter Judy Middleton , son-in-law Jim Middleton, grandson Robert Middleton, granddaughter Sandra Ginn all in 1974, son-in-law Nelson Brown 1991. She was born and raised in St. John's, Newfoundland and moved to Sarnia in 1953 with her husband and family from Corner Brook, Newfoundland. She had always resided in Sarnia. In 2003 she went to live at Twin Lakes Terrace Nursing Home. For many years she was a member of the Bethel Pentecostal Church. Her love and prayers will always be remembered. BYRNE, Nelsie Alice (Lady Rushton) September 22, 1921 - May 7, 2008 Nelsie Alice (Lady Rushton) Byrne, beloved wife of Frank Byrne (Lord Rushton) of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Nelsie was born in West Bromwich, England in 1921. In 1941 she proudly joined the Women's Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) for four years. After meeting Frank in 1947, she married her darling in 1949. Their only child John arrived shortly thereafter in 1950. In 1954, the family immigrated to Edmonton, AB and in 1966, moved to Calgary. Nelsie was a kind and friendly soul. She loved all animals, especially Ben and Blade. She could knit like no other and had a wicked green thumb. Nelsie was extremely proud of her talented son, John, and would smile with delight and say, "I'm good now that I see you" every time Frank walked in the room. Besides her loving husband Frank and son John, Nelsie is remembered by her brother Ivan (Sue) Hulme, close family friends, The Finches, and many others. Chris was born in Shellbrook, SK on April 2, 1939. She moved with her family from Buffalo Narrows, SK to Ymir, later Nelson, BC then to Calgary where she resided until her death. She was predeceased by her Mom and Dad, Chester and Jennie Christopherson; sisters Irene (George) Logozar and Verna (Ted) Christopherson. Chris is survived by her partner Bev Watt; brother Glen (Anne) Christopherson; sister Pauline (Jim) Hutchinson; little sister Denise (Frank) Hugli; special friends Marion Jordaan and Gail Sweeney. Chris had a great sense of humor and loved her many practical jokes. Chris played baseball for many years in BC and Alberta. COX, Wallace Dunning (Peter) Q.C., B.A., LL.B. Veteran of D-Day (Juno Beach) With sadness we announce the passing of Wallace (Peter) Cox on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at 92 years of age. Son of the late Frank W. Cox and Ethel Gordon Dunning Cox. Beloved husband of Mary Catherine Ellis, his wife of 62 years, and loving father of Merridy Cox Bradley. He is sorely missed by friends and family, especially by John and Joyce Ellis and Doris Ellis Snook. Born in Toronto in 1916, he attended Boxgrove School in England, Upper Canada College, University College (U of T), and Osgoode Hall Law School. He was a captain in the Royal Canadian Artillery 14th Field Regiment (1941-45). He was much respected as a family solicitor with Cox, Armstrong and Smith. A member of Beta Theta Pi, he remained active with his fraternity brothers all his life. He played with the Grace Church Cricket Club, where he was a member for over 50 years. For many years, Pete and Mary held a spring get-together at the Caledon Ski Club for friends from MacCauley/Cradleship Creche, the COB Club, and the Sunday ski group. Family and friends fondly remember spending many summer days with Peter at their summer home on the shores of Lake Temiskaming. A memorial service for the immediate family will be held in the future. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to The Lung Association, 573 King Street East, Suite #201, Toronto M5A 4L3, or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. DD LA FAMILLE SOULIÈRE a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de Jean Marcel Soulière décédé le 7 mai 2008, à l'âge de 70 ans. Il était le fils de feu Ovila Soulière et de feu Irène Ducharme et l'époux de Diane Lavoie. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Michel, Micheline (Mario), Patricia, Cathy (Gerry) et Chantal (Robert); plusieurs petits-enfants; ses frères et soeurs: Aline, Eva (Rolland), Patricia, Denise, Henri et Madeleine, sa belle-mère Rhéa Dupras; ses beaux-frères: Pierre et Gerry; ses belles-soeurs: Gisèle (Gérard) et Denise (Régis), ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et ami(e)s. Un service en mémoire de Marcel aura lieu dans l'intimité familiale. La famille désire remercier le personnel du 5ième nord du CSSSG de Gatineau pour les bons soins prodigués. En mémoire de Marcel des dons à la Fondation québécoise du cancer seraient grandement appréciés.
