Loving son of Julie Jasmin-Fortier (Rick Sr. Dupuis) and Denis Fortier (Francine Patry) both of Timmins. He will be sadly missed by his brother Mathieu and step-brothers Austin & Kory Patry, Richard Jr. Dupuis and Ryan- James Ricard. Précédé par ses frères Noël (Jeannine Raymond) et Serge, le défunt laisse dans le deuil son frère Gilles, époux de Liliane Galipeau et Liette, épouse de Ronald Malo, ses neveux et nièces Jean-Pierre, Daniel et André Collin, Éric Malo et Linda Renaud, ainsi que plusieurs autres parents et plusieurs amis. Jacques a travaillé comme menuisier à la construction de l’hôpital CHRDL de Joliette. HARGRAVES, Rolapha Louise “Peggy“ - Born in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia on May 15, 1916 and entered into Eternal Life on April 5, 2008. Waiting to greet Peggy are her parents Howard and Louise Abbott, and grandson Stephen Hargraves. Peggy is survived by her sons George and Florence, of Windsor, On; Franklin, of Golden Lake, On; and Peter and Sheila, of Sault Ste. Marie, On. Peggy was the proud grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Hilton and Alfred Abbott. Peggy also leaves many nieces and nephews. She spent the majority of her life in Sault Ste. Marie and enjoyed the outdoors. She was an avid hiker and loved to cross county ski. She had a wonderful sense of humour and always enjoyed some good bantering with anyone who was up to the challenge. Special thanks to Bill Gilmore who could do exactly that. A warm thank you is extended to the staff at Brouillette Manor for the care they provided Peggy especially during the last few days. A private family service will take place with the Rev'd Kevin George officiating. A cremation will follow with an interment of the cremated remains in Sault Ste. Marie. CARR, Ina Margaret (nee Esquega) 2008-04-07 Kadai Que Born September 30, 1948. Journeyed to the spirit world on April 4, 2008. Survived by husband Richard Carr, son Christopher Carr and nephew Robert Esquega. Ina was born in Rocky Bay and grew up there as a child and mainly resided in Thunder Bay, where she raised her son Christopher and later her nephew Robert, as well as other foster children. She is also survived by her sisters Theresa, Evelyn, Agnes, Charlene, Marlene, Milly and Denise, brothers Mike, Francis, Matthew and Daniel. She was predeceased by her parents Eva Jean Dick and Samuel James Esquega, sisters Angelique (Molly) and Bernadine and brother Albert. Ceremony/Prayers (call to Mushkowzee Que drums) will be held on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Blake Funeral Chapel. Born in McCully Township, Bracebridge, March 17, 1918, he spent much of his young life in Huntsville, Ontario before going over seas in the army for five years. On his return, he worked for a number of years for Muskoka Woods before they sold out to the Hay Company. He married Mildred Peacock in 1947. STEWART, MARION ALBERTA - Surrounded by family, Marion (Mickey, to many) passed away at the SJRH on Saturday April 5th in her 90th year. A life long resident of Saint John, she was the daughter of the late James and Ethel (Linton) McKillop. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Stewart, brother, Gordon McKillop and sisters, Audrey Hetherington and Hilda Thorne. She is survived by her son, William Stewart (Mary), sister, Bernice Warner (John) and sister-in-law, Dot McKillop. She is also survived by her very close friends, Gwen Stilwell and Lil Sullivan as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Saint John and across Canada. An active member of Portland United Church, Marion also volunteered with the United Church Women, Can Cope, United Way and Business and Professional Women's Club. With friends, Connie Shea and Lil Sullivan, Marion also operated a senior's shopping service at Dominion Food Store. Marion worked for over thirty years in the business offices of the Federal Stores, General Dairies and Baxter Dairies. She was a founding member of the Baxter Dairies Quarter Century Club. In addition to her love of work and community service, Marion treasured her trips to Toronto with sister, Bernice, her European tour with son Bill and the many visits and vacation trips throughout the Atlantic Provinces with family and friends. A special thanks to nieces Gail Brown and Bonnie Thomas (Byron) who kept an eye on their busy aunt. The family also recognizes the sustaining and compassionate care from Dr. Len Morgan, Dr. Mary Jarratt and associate physicians over the years. We also thank friends and neighbors at Newport Village, the Extra Mural service, Family and Community Services, Integrity Home Health for supporting Marion's independence. Verna Shutt 1918 - 2008 Verna Annie Shutt of Camden Park Terrace passed away on the Palliative Care Unit of the Moncton Hospital on Friday, April 4, 2008 at the age of 90. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of Claude and Lillian (Duffy) Chisholm. She was vice-president of the first graduating class of the Moncton High School and a graduate of the Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of First Baptist Moncton, Queen St., a member of IOOF Pearl Rebekah Lodge #9 and OES Fidelity Chapter #36, a member of Peoples Park Tower Senior's Club, a former member of the Bridgedale Seniors and a life member of the Beaver Curling Club. An active curler for many years, she was also a former three time provincial ladies curling champion. She is survived by daughter, Brenda Nearing (Joseph) Halifax, NS; son, Edward (Margot) Halifax, NS; sister, Mabel Kendrick Virginia, USA; grandsons, Timothy Shutt (Robin) and Scott Shutt (Sarah) and granddaughter, Kelsey Nearing; several nieces and nephews. William "Bill" Bullis 1935 - 2008 William "Bill" Bullis, 72, of Cocagne, has passed away on Thursday April 3rd, 2008 at the Moncton City Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Married to Annette (Dallaire) Bullis, he was born on April 9th, 1935 in Newport, Vermont to the late Alfred and the late Dorothy (Sanville) Bullis. Bill was a US Veteran of the Korean War. He loved his family, friends and neighbors; he loved life, his work as a truck driver with Gilco Ready Mix prior to his retirement, and the friendships he developed with his co-workers. He enjoyed his daily outings to Tim Horton, and will be sadly miss by all. He is survived by his wife, Annette, one daughter; Penny Allain of Memramcook, three sons; Stephen, Michael, both of Massachusetts, Kenneth of North Carolina, three sisters; Iona Carter of Newport, Vermont, Ester Peck (Terrance) of Massachusetts, Connie Rogers (Boby) of Florida, eleven grandchildren; Amy, Chris, Stephanie, Jason, Penny, Sherry, Kerry, Jennifer, Kendra, Tiffiny, Noel, and several nephews and nieces. WALL, THOMAS CHARLES Thomas Charles Wall passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmer's Regional Hospital, Fredericton. NB, husband of Martha Wall, occurred on April 5, 2008. He was born in 1922 in Tay Valley, NB, he was the son of the late Thomas and Christina (Stewart) Wall. Thomas was retired from NB Tel after 35 years of service. He was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers. He loved singing and was a choir member for many years. He belonged to the First Congregational Church of Fredericton. In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by three daughters, Diana (Eric) MacDonald of Island View, NB, Nancy (Alan) Dunlay of Hanwell, NB, Donna (Gary) Brown of Fredericton, NB; four grandchildren, Natalie, Jennifer, Julie and Beth; one brother, Stewart "Buster" (Greta) Wall of Taymouth, NB; one sister, Thelma (Donald) Fairley of Taymouth, NB; one sister-in-law, Jean Wall of Killarney, NB, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Thomas is predeceased by one sister, Violet Tucker; and one brother, Darrell Wall. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday April 9, 2008 at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Brad Little officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Donald McKinley, Arthur Stewart, Laurel McNeill, Irvine Curtis, Fraser McHatten and Ted Hall. Interment will take place in Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Sadly missed by fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. HICKEY, Lorie Anne (nee Thomson) - Peacefully after a valiant battle at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Hospital Drive Site, on Saturday, April 05, 2008 in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Greg Hickey (1973). Devoted mother of Paul and his wife Lori and Dave and his wife Chandos. Dear Nanny of Tegan and Joshua Hickey and Justin Lockhart. Predeceased by her mother Kay Thomson, in her 96th year (May 2000). Dear sister of Arden and her late husband Lloyd Mainprize and Sandy and her husband Bob McDevitt. Lorie was an aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church, Chandos. Lorie retired from C.M.H.C. after many years of service.
