DeANGELIS, Amelia - Passed away at Northland Pointe on Sunday March 30, 2008 at the age of 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Renato. Loving mother of Marino (Maria-Ione) and Anna (Frank) Ambra of South Carolina. Dear Nonna of Wilson and Steve Ambra and Walter (Christina) DeAngelis and Barbara DeAngelis and her 2 great grandchildren Gregory and Stephanie. Dear Sister of Guerina DeAngelis and Derna Ronaldi of Montreal. Predeceased by her first son Eritreo, her parents Vincenso and Marianna Marinelli and her sister Santina Zanchetti and brother Armenio Marinelli. Mrs. DeAngelis was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church and the CWL. She was also a member of the Port Colborne Senior Centre. Her family and friends will always treasure her gifts of embroidery and crochet. ZUBER, Dorde 2008-03-31 Mr. Dorde George Zuber, age 50 years of Balsam St., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday March 29, 2008. George was born in Rajic, Slavonia, Yugoslavia in 1957 and came to Canada at the age of 16. He was employed by Great West Timber, later became an independent Truck Driver and for the last 10 years, drove bus for Greyhound Canada. George loved to build things. He built his own house and his camp in Upsala. He always had some projects on the go. He loved the outdoors, fishing, watching Toronto Blue Jays, and playing cards. His greatest passion was being involved with his children’s activities and roasting pigs for family events. George will be sadly missed by his wife Kathy (Katie), his daughter Natasha and son Dushan, his mother in law Ljuba and his brother in law John, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his dogs Autumn and Summer. George was predeceased by his father Dusan, mother Kata and his Uncle Peter. Funeral Services for the late George Zuber will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, presided by the Very Reverend Jaroslaw Buciora of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Volodymyr‘s. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening, April 1st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Prayers at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street. SMALLWOOD, Richard 2008-03-31 SMALLWOOD It is with sadness that the family of Richard (Rick) Michael Smallwood announce his passing on Thursday, March 27, 2008, at the age of 32, with his family by his side, after an 11 month courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 22, 1976 in Thunder Bay. Richard played hockey for the Westfort Hockey League until age 12 when he moved with his family to Lindsay, Ontario, until he returned to his home town to spend his last few months with family and friends. Survived by his mom & dad Roy & Judy, his son Scotty, brothers Jimmy (Dana), Jonny and Robbie Meservier (Cassie), sister Tina, niece Kaylee Smallwood, nephews Christopher Smallwood & Bryce Meservier. aunt Charlene Youmans and uncle Jon Bolesky (Heather). Numerous cousins and great cousins and his dog and best friend Bubba. Richard was predeceased by his grandparents Mike and Edna Bolesky and John and Bessie Smallwood and uncle Gary Youmans. Cremation has taken place and as per Richards request no service will be held. There will be an open house to celebrate Richards life at 337 S. Syndicate Ave. Apt #300 Buzz 19, on Sunday, March 30th from 2pm to 5pm. Friends are invited to come over. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Born at Port Lorne, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Trueman B. and Anna Sophia (Sabean) Lewis. Marjorie was a member of the Victoria Street Baptist Church, and a member of Main Street Baptist Church; the Martha Spragg Women's Missionary Society, and the Friendly Fellowship Club of the church. She was a former member of Central Baptist Church, where she taught Mission Band, and was also involved with the Women's Missionary Society. In addition to her husband, Marjorie is survived by a sister, Myrtle Lewis of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia; and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Burnett of Saint John; along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth N. Earle; a son, Laurence N. Earle; and sister, Jean Mitchell, Beatrice Hebert, Bernice Mills, and Joyce Poole. O'NEAL, VERNON - 1931-2008 - After a courageous battle with diabetes and kidney failure, Vernon Leonard O'Neal of California Settlement passed away peacefully at Victoria Glen Manor on March 29, 2008. Born in California Settlement on October 28, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Leitha (Kinney) O'Neal. Vernon leaves behind his daughter, Lois (Jeff) DeMerchant of Perth-Andover; his son, Hal (Vikki Martin) O'Neal; his sister, Erma Wright of Vermont; his brothers, James (Kathy) O'Neal and John (Sharon) O'Neal, both of Caribou, ME; his grandchildren, Michael Murphy (Vicki Everett) and Jamie (Christina Stewart) both of Aroostook, Corey DeMerchant of Toronto, ON; one great grandson, Landen DeMerchant; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa O'Neal (Ledwith); his daughters, Janet and Lorna O'Neal. Vernon grew up in California Settlement and spent his early years working for farmers in nearby Maine. He tried his hand at farming, but his true calling was his trucks and the construction business. He was a pioneer in the exporting of sand and gravel to the United States until his retirement in 2004. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. CAIL, BERNICE RUTH The passing of Bernice Ruth Cail of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Wallace Cail, occurred on Friday, March 28, 2008 at the York Manor Nursing Home. Born on May 30, 1924 in Lower Woodstock, she was the daughter of the late David and Gertrude (Reddall) Purvis. Bernice was a member of Devon Park Baptist Church. Bernice is survived by two daughters, Patricia Davidson of Fredericton, NB and Noni Barratt (Art) of Oromocto, NB; one son, David Cail of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, James Davidson (Lisa) and Michael Fleming (Monique); great-grandson, Joshua; one sister, Edith Gibson of Woodstock, NB; one brother, Edison Purvis (Jane) of Woodstock, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Bernice was predeceased by her daughter, Lori MacDonald; a sister, Irene Clarke; and two brothers, David Arnold and Frank Purvis. Kevin Michael, McGinn 1977 - 2008 Kevin Michael McGinn of Riverview, passed away moments upon receiving his first degree black belt in Karate on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the age of 30 years. Born in Moncton NB, on September 3, 1977 he was the son of Richard and Catherine (Oakes) McGinn of Riverview. Kevin was an IT Specialist working for the past three years with On Q Marketing. He had been a member of the Riverview Karate Studio (Police Martial Arts Association) since 1994 and will be remembered as being a role model within the association. Besides his parents Richard and Catherine, he is survived by his wife Jennifer (Finnamore) McGinn and their two children Nathan and Kyle; brothers, Sean (Tena) of Oromocto, Jason (Jen) of Saint John, and Aaron of Riverview; step maternal grandfather, Evan Thomas of Shediac; mother and father in law, Stewart and Jeannette of Fredericton; sister in law Denise (David) McFadzen of Fredericton; brother in law, Ken (Carrie) Green of Riverview; four nieces; one nephew; and many friends. Robert Allan Bransfield Mr. Robert Allan Bransfield, husband of Eileen (Bromley) Bransfield of King George Hwy., Miramichi, passed away Friday March 28th, 2008, at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 84. Born in Douglastown December 10th, 1923, he was the son of the late William and Katherine (Kirkpatrick) Bransfield. Robert was a veteran of World War 11, in the Royal Canadian Electrical & Mechanical Engineers, later employed with the Ammunition Depot, Renous as a pipe fitter, he was the past president of Branch # 10 Royal Canadian Legion, member of St. Mark's United Church, member of the board of trustees of St. Mark's United Church, member of Douglastown Senior Citizens, member of Federal Super Aviation Association. He loved gardening in the summer and going to the camp every fall. He was survived by his beloved wife Eileen (Bromley); three children; Richard (Doris) of Miramichi; Robert (Betty Ann) of Miramichi; Carol Johnston (Lee) of Miramichi; one sister; Marie Savage; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one brother, William Bransfield. Mr. Robert Allan Bransfield will be resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy., Miramichi, with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. He is survived by his wife: Marie (née: Fougere); nine daughters; Laura (André) Methot, Irene (Raynald) Aubé and Ginette (Rene) Methot, all three of St.-Philippe, Noella (Raymond) Gallant and Alfreda Robichaud (Raymond Malenfant) both of Lakeside, Rosalie Belliveau (Eric Landry) of Cape Breton Road, Murielle Gautreau (Doug Short) and Angel Robichaud (Mike Osborne) both of Moncton, Dianne Allen (John Leaman) of Dieppe; four sons: Louis and Normand (Amanda) both of Lakeside, Roger (Linda) of Shediac River and Zoel (Tammy Lutes) of Dieppe; one sister, Emelia Goguen of Cocagne; 36 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and several brothers and sisters, he was also predeceased by one grandson, Bobby. OBITUARY WERTHER ZANNI After a long illness, on March 26 at 6:20 p.m., surrounded by his family, God could no longer leave him suffer and called him home to rest. Born in Reggio Emilia, Italy, he worked as Chief Purser for Home Lines and Viking Cruises and later as a property manager in Montreal. He instilled in all of us a thirst for knowledge, logic, and for beauty. He was a beloved husband to Argia Ruzzier, a devoted father to Caroline (Paul) and a loving grandfather to Francesca, William, and Gabriel. Though no longer with us he will live forever in our hearts. His last weeks were spent at the Montreal Chest Hospital and we greatly appreciate the help and care that was provided to him. WATTERS, LEONORA MARY - The death of Mrs. Leonora Mary (Doucette) Watters of Saint John West, wife of the late William A. Leonora was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church and resided all her life in Saint John West. She enjoyed traveling, parties and playing bingo.
