PARK, Dr. Kenneth Gary, M.D., C.C.F.P. (E.M.) - Tragically passed away on November 20, 2007 at the age of 41. Beloved son of Eontae and Jaemin Park. Ken was a dedicated family and emergency physician who loved his work and his patients who meant so much to him. He was a gifted pianist and avid athlete. WHEELER, Kenneth Fredrick - At home on Monday, November 26th, 2007 in his 67th year. Kenneth Fredrick Wheeler, beloved husband of Lorna (nee Truax). Loving father of Mike (Queenie) and Karen (Ben Santucci). Special grandfather of Cody, Randal, Sam and Nicholas. AHRENS, Jerry John - Passed away peacefully after a brave and courageous battle with Cancer at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, on November 25th, 2007 at the age of 73. Jerry was the beloved husband of Rochelle Ahrens, of 42 years. Loving father of Shelley Travis (David) of Port Perry, David Ahrens of Jackson's Point, and Heather Ahrens (Carman Guthrie) of Fenelon Falls. Cherished grandfather of Matthew Ahrens. Survived by his sisters Gerda (Ruud), and Anna-Wies of Holland, Johanna Clara of Italy, and brother Jan George (Ans) of Holland. Predeceased by his parents Jan George Sr. (1996) and Wies (2000). Jerry is also survived by his sisters- in-law Bev and Joan of Sudbury, Harriet of Montreal, and brothers-in-law Harry of Sudbury and the late Jimmy Haddow. Gerald A. Mackenzie. The death of Gerald Alexander MacKenzie of Sussex occurred on November 25, 2007 at the age of 85. Gerald was born at Hillgrove, NB a son of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth (Gourlay) MacKenzie. He was the husband of the late Helen (Ogilvie) MacKenzie who passed away in 1993. NELSON, MURRAY PACKARD - Murray Nelson, lately of Nauwigewauk, but formerly of Saint John West (Fairville), died after a brief illness at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 24, 2007. He was in his 79th year. He was the son of the late Ivan and Hilda (Ricker) Nelson. Murray was the husband of the late Geraldine (Dempsey) Nelson, who predeceased him in November 1994. Murray also leaves his long-time friend and companion of many years, Frieda Roberts of Tennesse. Murray was the father of Allan Nelson and his wife, Sylvie Duguay of Darlings Island, N.B.; and his daughter, Deborah Simak and her husband, Herb, as well as their children, Jacob and Rachael of Burnaby, B.C. Murray is survived by his brothers and sisters, Rhoda Howard, Marjorie Graham (Bart), William (Nancy), Donna Godfrey (William), Richard (Ngaire); and many nieces and nephews. Murray was predeceased by brothers, Royden (Jackie) Nelson and Everett (Wanda) Nelson. Murray was retired for many years from Canada Post. Murray will be sadly missed by many friends, especially those he made in his final years at Hillcrest Village and at McKellar's Special Care Home. When he was a young man, he served with the Canadian Forces as a peace keeper in South Korea in 1955. WILKIE, Amy Margaret 1914 - 2007 Amy passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2007 in Calgary at the age of 93 years. Amy was born near Leduc, AB where she finished her schooling before moving to Edmonton. She married Arthur in 1943 and they moved to Calgary where she was a stay at home mom for twelve years before returning to the work force until the age of seventy-eight. Amy was a long-time member of Hillhurst United Church as well as being active in the UCW and the church choir. She had a great love for "good" music and was a regular at the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra concerts. Amy enjoyed all aspects of life, especially if it involved family gatherings and lunch outings with her many friends as a member of the Renfrew 50 Plus Club. We will forever remember your loving support and positive attitude. Your strength has been an inspiration that has enriched our lives. DOREN, Ronald - after a brief battle with cancer on November 23, 2007 with his wife Kathryn by his side. He was 50 years of age. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Kathryn (nee Johnston), daughters Melissa and Jennifer, brother Robert, and mother in-law Velma Johnston, as well as various aunts, uncles and cousins in Toronto, Vancouver and Guelph. Ron was predeceased by his father, Russell F. Doren and mother Margaret (Peggy) Doren and father-in-law Robert Johnston. Raised in Sarnia, Ontario, Ron attended both Northern and Central Collegiate high schools prior to attending McMaster University in Hamilton. Graduating in 1981 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Ron spent his entire career in healthcare. Starting with Glaxo- SmithKline, he was a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and a Product Manager. He was also Vice President, Marketing of Carecor Health Services Inc. and Amada Medical Inc. before venturing out on his own in 1994. From the start as a one man consulting company, Ron founded and developed the CartsPlus Group Inc. into a well respected supplier/manufacturer to the long term care and hospital markets, both through internal growth as well as external acquisitions. The CartsPlus Group now consists of three operating companies: CartsPlus Healthcare Products Ltd, CartsPlus Healthcare Systems Ltd. and CartsPlus Shading Systems Ltd.
