MUISE Ida Muise entered into rest with her children by her side, on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 in her 85th year. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Lillian (Joe Berlinghoff), William (Carm), Theresa (Chess Lagacé), Wayne (Jackie) and Aaron, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and sisters Mildred Walker and Bernice Blades. Predeceased by her parents, husband George, son Clary, brother Bill and grandchildren Kevin and Crystal. The family will receive their friends at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence 19 Young Street, Welland on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where a Vigil will be held at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Parish Community of St. Kevin on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. BURGESS, Linda Pauline Died in The Southwood Hospice on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at the age of 56 years following a lengthy illness. Linda was born February 25, 1951 in Great Falls, Montana. She attended the University of Calgary and taught school for many years in Calgary. Linda is survived by: her husband Jim; daughters Jennifer and Sara; mother and father Vivian and Paul Andersen; sister Kathleen Ware; brothers Roger Andersen and Kim Andersen; and eight nieces and nephews. WALSH, Louise F. (nee Wilkins) - Louise passed away quietly at her home with her family by her side on September 15, 2007. Louise celebrated 95 years of life and was predeceased by her husband Bob and daughter Donna. Louise was the last surviving sibling of a large family that consisted of 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Louise was a lifetime member of the Rebecca Lodge with 55 years of service and a strong supporter of St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. Louise was an avid curler and enjoyed participating in many bonspiels throughout Canada. Many nieces and nephews will sadly miss Louise. Louise and her sister Lily enjoyed entertaining family and friends in the sunroom of their new home in Niagara Falls, Ontario. WALLACE, Margaret "Tayah" November 2, 1918 - November 9, 2007 Margaret "Tayah" Wallace, of Calgary, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007 at the age of 89 years. Tayah was born in Killam, AB but spent most of her life in Calgary. She was active in many churches over her lifetime: Grace Presbyterian Church, St. Paul's United Church, Westminster United Church and Living Spirit United Church. She loved to match people with books and took great pleasure in being "the Story Lady" at Connaught kindergarten. Tayah will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all. Tayah is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Margie and Simon Brooksbank and Sandy Robson, all of Calgary, AB; her two sons, Bill Wallace of Red Deer, AB and David Wallace of Vancouver, BC; six grandchildren, Jamey Kilb, Bryn (Christine) Kilb, Jodi (Paul) Jonke, Brad (Katie) Kilb, Garth (Julie) Robson and Eric Robson; and two great-grandchildren, Marcus and India Kilb. CALDER, (Kirby) Roberta "Bobby" Jean Passed away peacefully at home in Ottawa following a battle with aggressive Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, November 15, 2007. Born October 19, 1940, daughter of the late Robert and Jean Calder of Montreal. Survived by her husband and high school sweetheart former Senator Michael Kirby; children Holly Burrell and her son Houston of Calgary, and Andrew Furneaux of Victoria; stepchildren Colleen Kirby of Ottawa, Bruce Kirby of Toronto and Sean Kirby of Halifax. In addition to Houston, grandmother to four other grandchildren Clara, Scott and Ben Edwards of Ottawa and Connor Kirby of Halifax, who will miss her terribly. She will also be deeply missed by her friends and fellow golfers at the Ottawa Hunt Club and the University Park Country Club of Sarasota, Florida. A 1961 nursing graduate of the Montreal General Hospital and the Occupational Health Program of Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton. Bobby spent most of her working life as head of the occupational health department at Pan Canadian Petroleum Ltd. ARMSTRONG, Robert Eugene (Bob) - at PRHC Rogers Street Site Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 in his 82nd year. Bob was a WWII Veteran (R.C.N.V.R.), life member of the Peterborough Naval Association and the Peterborough Canadian Legion Branch 52. He was a conscientious employee of Kelly's Peterborough Fuel & Transfer where he retired in 1988. He enjoyed many happy years with family and friends at their cottage on Gold Lake. He is survived by his wife Eleanor (Yelland) and sons Bruce and Scott (Barbara) and fondly remembered by grandchildren Derek, Shane, Lindsay, Zachary, Stephanie and Christina. Survived by siblings Andree (Rees) Powell, Edward (Myrtle) Armstrong, Donald (Helen) Armstrong and Jerry (Kitty) Armstrong. John Moyer, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, November 12, 2007. He was 88. Born in Mount Forest, son of the late Henry and Annie (nee Ruetz) Moyer. John farmed on his own farm until retiring and was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus. Survived by wife Mildred (Zettler) Moyer, children Harvey (Rene) Moyer of Mount Forest, Thelma (Jospeh) Van Osch of Lucknow, Doris Caughlin (Steve Polusa) of Pinewood, Percy (Kathy) Moyer of Ayton, 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Also survived by a brother Peter Moyer of Walkerton. Predeceased by brothers Leo, Joe, Tony, sisters Cecilia Schnurr, Marie Diemert, son-in-law Harold Caughlin and great grandson Jordan Young. Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm with Vigil Rites at 8:30 pm. HAWLEY, Karen Leslie - (September 2 1960-November 15 2007) - Karen passed away on November 15, 2007 with the same undisputable grace and courage she displayed throughout her 47 years. Karen died at home in Belleville surrounded by family and friends. Karen is survived by her loving and dedicated partner Fransisco; her parents, mother Linda and Bill Powers, father Barry and Susan Hawley, and brother Chris Hawley (Xin). She is also remembered as a creative, warm, giving and loving woman by the many friends she made and held dear, during a fulfilling and adventurous life. Karen's spirit carries on in the memories of those who love her and the work she leaves behind that brings joy to so many. Karen created the internationally known children's name art “Alphacritters”; creating a legacy that survives her passing. A private service is being held at the WANNAMAKER-TIERNEY FUNERAL HOME, Napanee on Saturday, November 17, 2007. JOYCE W. CAMPBELL (nee Davis) Joyce Campbell (nee Davis) in her 90th year, passed away in Newmarket, on November 3, 2007. Beloved wife of the late William Alan Campbell, mother to Alan (Linda) Campbell, Murray (Carole) Campbell, Bonnie (Ross) Massey and Bruce Campbell. Dear sister of Jack Taylor and his wife Sharon, and sister-in-law of Millie Valian and her husband Arnie, Bill Martin and the late Marilyn Johnson, Jim and Marion Anderson, and Arpie Keith and the late Larry Keith. Step-sister of Bob Tandy, Joan Welsby, Jim Tandy and Joyce Brown. Jan will be especially missed by friend and cousin Millie Schuster. Also missed by nieces, nephews and cousins. Janice was an employee of the Brant County Health Unit for 26 years. She served as a president of the Brantford Aquatic Club and the Greenbrier Home and School Association, secretary of the Brant Power and Sail Squadron, and was a long time volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society. She was a member of the Port Dover Yacht Club. Jan was a remarkable lady who, despite a lifetime of health challenges, excelled as an accomplished gymnast, dancer, figure skater, teacher and volunteer.
