Age 97 years formerly of 600 Glengarry Boulevard, Cornwall, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Pierre Julien. Dear mother of Mrs. Doreen Lefebvre of Cornwall and Mrs. Fleurette Boileau of Martintown. Dear step-mother of John Jr. Savard (Theresa) of Scarborough. Dear sister of Joseph Savard, Mrs. Therese Seguin both of Cornwall and Mrs. Mary Keller of Florida. Also survived by twenty three grandchildren, thirty seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Dear daughter of the late George Savard and the late Veronica Cooper. Predeceased by one son, Bernie Julien, three brothers, Wilfred, Johnny and Maurice Savard four sisters, Mrs. Clara St.Louis, Miss Rita Savard and Mrs. Edith Desnoyers and Mrs. Catherine Jodoin. VERVILLE, Soeur Laurette (Anne-Laurette) - des Soeurs de la Charité d'Ottawa, est décédée à Gatineau le 11 décembre 2007, à l'âge de 92 ans, dont 71 ans de profession religieuse. Elle était la fille de feu Alfred Verville et de feu Georgianna Laporte. Née à St-François-du-lac, Québec, elle entra en religion le 1er août 1934 et fit profession le 15 juillet 1936. Outre sa famille religieuse, elle laisse dans le deuil une soeur, Claire et son époux Xavier Desfossés; deux belles-soeurs: Madeleine Martin (feu Joffre) et Gisèle Labonté (feu Thomas-Louis), de même que plusieurs neveux et nièces. La dépouille repose à la Maison-mère des Soeurs de la Charité d'Ottawa, 9 rue Bruyère, Ottawa. Elle était l'épouse de Bernard Côté et la fille de feu Ernest Hamel et de feu Aurore Gaudreau. A proud Canadian he served in the R.C.A.F. during the Korean War, he was a member of the Capreol Royal Canadian Legion and a volunteer Firefighter for the Town of Capreol and 4th Degree Knight (Our Lady of Peace Church). He enjoyed hunting with his brother in law Glen, nephew Murray and friends and also fishing and golfing with family and friends. Dick enjoyed puttering around his workshop and maintaining his vehicles. FRAPPIER, Andre (Andy) - After a short but courageous battle with cancer Andre (Andy) Frappier passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital with his family by his side on Saturday, November 10, 2007. Born in Prince George, B.C., she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Gladys (Hardbottle) Wilson and the wife of the late George Poole. Muriel was a registered nurse for over 20 years. She enjoyed needlepoint, baking and gardening and especially spending time with family and friends. NOONAN, Joseph Leo Michael BA, B.Ed, M.Ed ~ At the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital, St. Catharines on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of 54 1/2 years to Claire Marie (Morris) Noonan. Loving father of Timothy (the late Yumi) Noonan, Marie Noonan, Kerry (Michael) Valentine, Deirdre (Paul) Vedova and Patrick Noonan. Predeceased by his son Sean Noonan (1990). Grandpa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Keeleigh, Daniel, Nicholas, Conor, Jack, Matthew and Ciara. Dear brother of Mary Kelly. Predeceased by brother Roger Des Jardine, sister Genevieve Shaughnessy and nephew Ernie Des Jardine. Joe began his career in education with the Crowland Township School Area #1 as a Physical Education Supervisor. In 1955, he taught at St. Charles School in Thorold. Joe was the founding principal of St. Christopher's School in St. Catharines, marking the beginning of his career as principal in Catholic schools, which spanned 30 years with the Lincoln County Roman Catholic School Board. He also sat on various boards, including the Thorold Township Roman Catholic Separate School Board, where he was on the committee for the formation of the Welland County Roman Catholic Separate School Board. He later became a member and chairman with the newly formed Niagara Catholic District School Board. While serving on the Thorold Board, Joe was their representative on the Denis Morris Board of Governors where he served for 22 years. Joe also sat on the Regional and Thorold Council, the Niagara Escarpment Commission and the Bruce Trail Association. Joe was a WWII Veteran, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #17, Thorold and a Member of the Sacred Heart Council #2319 Knights of Columbus. Margaret Agnes Bulmer (Edgett) 1919 - 2007 Died peacefully, at age 88, in the company of her loving family, at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, November 11, 2007. Margaret was born in Moncton, September 26, 1919 and was the last surviving child of Percy and Ethel Edgett. She is survived by her son, Gary Bulmer, Moncton; daughters, Sheila Manak (Miles), Dartmouth, N.S. and Dianne Haley (Bryan), Montague, P.E.I.; grandchildren, Michael Manak (Liz), Beverly Carson (Shane) and Lori Haley; great grandchildren, Max Manak, Julie and Stephanie Carson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; brothers, Alvin, Edwin, Herbert, Lester and Murray; sisters, Shirley Atkinson and Kathleen Grigg. Margaret was a life long resident of Moncton where she was well known for her skills on the bowling lanes having won several individual and team championships in her younger days. She was a devoted wife and homemaker who cared for her children and, when his health failed, her husband. Her home was a family gathering place where she welcomed visitors to share in the love that dwelled within. She enjoyed visiting family and was often found in Dartmouth and Montague sharing stories and pleasant memories of those who weren't there. Most notable was Margaret's contentment with what life had provided. She never complained, appreciated the smallest kindness, rejoiced at the good fortune of others and provided a ray of sunlight in the dismal days of grief as her siblings passed away. In her very special way, she provided comfort to those who were left behind. She was the rock that stood strong as a symbol of the Edgett family. As her health began to fail she grew particularly close to her niece and neighbor, Sharon Edgett, who provided care and comfort when it was needed. Margaret was effusive in her praise of this special niece and friend. A graveside service will be held in Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 12:00pm with Rev. Jim MacDonald officiating, followed by a reception being held at The Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. at 1:00pm. Family flowers only.
