DIBELLO RORRITO-RAVENDA, Angelina (née Torrito-Ravenda) 1917-2007 Le dimanche 4 novembre 2007, à l'âge de 90 ans, est décédée Mme Angelina di Bello, épouse de feu Luigi DiBello. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Antonio, Nicole et Francesco. Elle laisse également dans le deuil ses petits-enfants, frères, soeurs ainsi que plusieurs autres parents et amis. Dessinatrice de mode, Mme di Bello ouvre en 1947 sa boutique de Haute Couture et par la suite son École de coupe et de couture. Pendant plusieurs années, elle fut l'animatrice de ses propres émissions à la télévison au Québec et en Ontario. Elle a été également l'éditrice et l'auteure de plusieurs volumes et patrons de couture. La famille recevra les condoléances au complexe funéraire Urgel Bourgie, 2630 Notre-Dame ouest (près Atwa-ter), Montréal, mercredi de 14 heures à 22 heures. Les funérailles seront célébrées en la cathédrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde, le jeudi 8 novembre à 10 h 30. Au lieu de fleurs, des dons à la Fondation québécoise du diabète seraient grandement appréciés. SHILLINGTON, JOANNE P. - The death of Joanne Phyllis Shillington of 125 Coldbrook Crescent, Saint John, wife of the late Allison Wesley Shillington, occurred on Friday, November 2, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on February 6, 1952, she was the daughter of Myrna (Jackson) Melvin of Moncton and the late Harold Melvin. Joanne was an active member of First United Pentecostal Church and was a member of the choir for 13 years. She enjoyed her ministry of visiting the sick and shut ins at hospitals, nursing homes and CentraCare. Besides her mother, Myrna (Gordon McNulty), she is survived by one son, Scott Shillington (Cheryl) of Grand Bay-Westfield; four brothers, Brian Melvin (Barb) of Beaver Harbour, Danny Melvin of Moncton, Hal Melvin of Saint John and Christopher Melvin (Brenda) of Prince of Wales; one sister, Cathy Melvin of Moncton; two grandchildren, Samantha and Nicholas Shillington; several nieces and nephews. Leo Charles Murphy 1922-2007 RICHIBUCTO, NB - The death of Leo Charles Murphy, 85, of Richibucto and Lions Nursing Home, Rexton, occurred at the home October 31, 2007. Born in Mimimegash, Prince Edward Island April 15, 1922 Leo was the son of late John and Catherine(Jones) Murphy. Leo was a Janitor for over 20 years with the Richibucto RCMP. A kindly gentle man. Leo ran errands, mowed, raked and shoveled for many Richibucto Residents. He was a devoted church person, delivering Sunday bulletins to one and all. Leo was also a former member of the Rexton Golden Age Club. Along with a host of friends, Leo is survived by nieces; grand-nieces; cousins; and two special caregivers, Bill LeGoff and Stuart Ward. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto Tuesday, November 6, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Clifford "Cliff" Alexander Crosbie July 10, 1911 - November 05, 2007 Born July 10, 1911 in Sarnia, Ontario, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Villa, Dundas, Ontario on Monday, November 5, 2007. Predeceased by his beloved wife of sixty seven years Edith (nee Bird). Cliff will be sadly missed by his children Donald (Carol), Douglas (Nancy), Frances DeLallo (John deceased), Margaret Needham (Perry) and his ten grandchildren Paul, David, Ian Crosbie, Jeffrey, Tahra, Kimberly DeLallo, Susan, Scott Crosbie, Shawn and Erin Needham and by his loving great grandchildren. Cliff was a veteran of WW11 and served in the Highland Light Infantry throughout the Italian campaign and liberation of Holland. Cliff will be dearly missed by those he touched with his love of music and gentle kindness. For over 50 years a resident of the Stoney-Lake Nephton area, Vera, an Ottawa Civic Hospital Nurse, was often the first one called upon when a neighbour was ill. She obtained her elementary teaching certificate from the Peterborough Normal School in the early 1940's and taught school at S.S.#1B Burleigh, at the head of Stoney Lake, for nine years. She was also employed as secretary-bookkeeper at Indusmin for several years. Vera and her husband Jim moved to Peterborough in 1988. Vera was a founding member of the Nephton Women's Institute; a life member of the Carmel United Church Women; a member of George St. United Church and George St. U.C.W. She was a past matron of the Peterborough Chapter #161 - Order of the Eastern Star. He will be greatly missed by his niece Betsy (Bill) and family, his English nephews Peter Kemp and Richard Evans and Betty and Derek Pearce and family. John was a member of the Rotary Club of Ottawa (and was a recipient of the Paul Harris award), member of the 78th Fraser Highlanders, O.X.A. and the Barbershop Chorus of Ottawa for many years. We wish to remember fondly our wonderful caregivers, Dr. Jain, Harold, Terry, Lisa, Leslie and Amanda, without whose devotion and loving care we would not have been able to cope at home. Thanks to Carefore as well for all their support workers who made John's life more comfortable.
