Cherished Nono of Allan Luciw (wife Trish), Kim Luciw-Kater (husband Kent Kater), Sandra Pella, Deborah Smith (husband Darron), Dean Pella, Tyler Pella (wife Teresa), Mathew Piche, Amanda Piche, Lori Ranson, Christa Favot and 10 very special great grand children. Special Zio of Secondo and Gianna Moschette and Family as well as, Dear Friend and godfather of George Bardeggia. Dear Son of Italia (Babuin) 1883 - 1955 and Lino Pella 1873 - 1955 Udine Italy. Riccardo came to Canada in the Spring of 1922 at the age of sixteen arriving in Quebec. He married Genoeffa Bortoluzzi February 15, 1930 at St. Joseph Church in Fort William. They raised six children. He was employed with Inco from 1933 to 1970. Having too much vitality at age 65 to stay retired, he took employment with CKSO for 10 years. Riccardo was a master of story telling with tales of his travel and work experiences in Fort William, Kitchener, British Columbia and Sudbury as a young man. He always had a positive outlook on life with a sense of humour, and thirst for learning. He had a love of music and was a master of his accordion. He had a lifelong love of flowers and gardening, music, wine making, travel and the outdoors. He was a faith filled man who enjoyed reading scripture and recited passages from memory. He will always be remembered for his enthusiasm, his vitality, his optimism and wonderful positive outlook on life will be sadly missed! Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Hope Church Friday November 2nd, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Sudbury Catholic Cemetery. VAN SICKLE, Dennis Richard 1951 - 2007 Dennis fought a courageous battle for five years with lung cancer. He passed away surrounded by family at the Rosedale Hospice on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the age of 56 years. Dennis is lovingly remembered by Pat, his wife of thirty-three years; sons Daryll and Colin; parents Allan and Eileen; twin sister Delores; father-in-law Fred McConnell, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Dennis was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Mary Koshman and his mother-in-law Natalka McConnell. Dennis was employed with Progress Energy where he was Operations Manager. He enjoyed the sun, was an avid runner and loved to spend time in Phoenix. McBRIDE, Gene - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene McBride on Sunday, the 28th of October, at home with family by his side, ending a courageous battle with cancer. Gene was a retired teacher. He taught at Merritton High School and Kernahan Park H.S. He was active in sports and ran an Outdoors Club for many years. He was a dedicated member of Grace Anglican Church. Gene was an active volunteer and was known by all for his willingness to help. He is remembered by everyone who knew him as a strong man with a gentle soul. He is survived by his wife Ruth, his two daughters, Kathryn (Rolf) and Karyn, and his four grandchildren: Evan, Hayden, Alyssa and Connor. DEBRA ANN KRANENBURG Debra Ann Kranenburg went to be with her Heavenly Father peacefully with her family by her side at the South Bruce-Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Monday, October 22nd, 2007 at the age of 50 years, the former Debra Scott of Paisley. She will be missed by her best friend and husband Bill Kranenburg. Together they shared a great love for their children; Wesley and his wife Jessica of Scotland, Ontario, Nathaniel and his wife Laura of Port Elgin, Jeremy and his wife Katie of Southampton, Zachary of Paisley, and Emily of Paisley. Bill and Debra also received great joy from their three grandchildren; Josiah, Caleb, and Chloe- Anne. Debbie is survived and greatly loved by her parents Roy and Bertha Scott of Port Elgin, her sister Darlene Mashinter and family of Waterloo, and by her brothers Don Scott and family of Calgary, AB, and Dave Scott and family of Wellesley. She will always be remembered by her many friends and remain in their hearts. Friends called at the W. KENT MILROY PAISLEY CHAPEL, 216 Queen St. S., Paisley, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24th , 2007. Funeral service was conducted in the Immanuel Missionary Church, Paisley, on Thursday at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Tony Geense officiating. During the service, family remembrances were presented by her brother Don Scott. Barb Johnston served as pianist and led the music portion of the service. Debbie was born June 16th, 1957 to Roy and Bertha Scott, and was raised on a farm in Paisley. She was educated locally, and graduated from the Accounting Program at Georgian College in Owen Sound. Very involved in her church, it was there that she met Bill Kranenburg, eventually marrying in 1978. Debbie taught Sunday School for many years, and served faithfully as Church Treasurer for 25 years. Aside from farming, together, Bill and Debbie successfully partnered in business when they purchased the Beefway meat packing business in Kincardine in 1997. They then went on to acquire the First Base Restaurant on Port Elgin Beach in 2000, which they quickly established as a family favourite. She faithfully supported her children in all their activities, dreams and aspirations. Debbie enjoyed doing crafts, was an avid garage-saler, loved to shop and collect collectables. She was a wonderful cook who shared her meal creations with her many friends and family. She will be remembered as a fun-loving, Christian woman with a wonderful sense of humour and a bubbly, contagious laugh. Her family will miss the compassionate, caring and generous nature with which she blessed them everyday. Her zeal for life inspired many people to love their lives to the fullest, to enjoy the small pleasures in life, and to trust God in all things. Interment was made at Paisley Cemetery. Acting as casket-bearers were Nelson Harvey, Willard Horst, Ken Toman, Jim Walker, Bryan Webb and Ron Wells. LONDON, RAYMOND R. - The death of Raymond R. London, husband of Norma Joan (Atkinson) London, occurred peacefully on Sunday October 28, 2007 at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home. Born 1929 in Saint John he was the son of the late James and Ellen (Claydon) London. Raymond worked for the Saint John Dry Dock as a boilermaker, since March of 1951, retiring in 1993, and was a member of Local 3. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed working with wood. Besides his wife Norma Joan of 53 years, he is survived by daughter, Lori O'Blenis (John) of Upper Golden Grove; two grandchildren, Nora and Benjamin O'Blenis; sister, Mary Ellen Cole of Hampton; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son, Raymond G. London; brother, James London. FOSTER, ROSE - The death of Rose Foster, of Saint John, NB, wife of the late, Harold E. Foster, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 28, 2007. Born in Gravesend, England, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Harriet (Heaver) Henley. Rose was employed for many years as an Executive for Housekeeping at the Mississauga Hospital. She enjoyed being a Girl Guide Leader and volunteering at the Art Gallery in Toronto. Rose loved to sew and enjoyed needlework. Survived by her daughter, Liz Forrest (Bob) of Welsford, NB; her grandchildren, Mark Pacheri (Shannon), Andrea Chilelli (Muriel), Jeff Forrest (Melissa Farren), Mike Forrest (Erin) and Ashley Hicks; her great-grandchildren, Miranda, Matthew, Jacob, Mackenzie, Sarah and Jorja. Raymond LeBlanc 1925 - 2007 Raymond LeBlanc, age 82, of High Street, Moncton and formerly of Bouctouche passed away on Monday, October 29th, 2007 at the Dr Georges L. Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness. Married to Cécile (Née Richard) LeBlanc, he was born in Bouctouche on May 14th, 1925 to the late Methode and the late Marie (Née Allain) LeBlanc. Raymond worked for the Moncton Park Community Services for several years, and was a member of the Farelane Bowling League, Moncton. He is survived by his wife Cécile; one sister, Alfreda Gautreau of Waltham, Mass; one brother, Joseph (Joe) of Bouctouche; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one brother, Léo; one sister, Anita. Visitation will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche from Tuesday October 30th, from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday October 31st, from 2 to 3:45 pm. DYCK, Elaine It is with profound sadness that the family of Elaine Dyck announces her passing on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the age of 59 years. Elaine is survived by her loving partner, Ron Brandt of Fanny Bay, British Columbia; and her children, Jacquie (Mike) Mirtle and Carla (Shaun) Kolody, both of Calgary, and Dan Dyck of Medicine Hat. Also mourning her passing are her sister, Lynn Phillips of Vancouver, many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends and colleagues. Elaine's grandchildren, Alexis, Lauren, Evan and Makenna were special lights in her life. Elaine was born in Medicine Hat on May 20, 1948. She grew up in Redcliff with her devoted parents, Jim and Ann Sparrow and her brothers, Bill, Jack and Harold. Raising her children in Calgary with Calvin Dyck (Medicine Hat), Elaine launched a nursing career that included positions in mental health clinical practice and administration. In 1989, a move to Medicine Hat saw her back in her home town, caring for her family and continuing her work in administration, education and program development with the Palliser Health Authority. In 2001, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of living on the West Coast and began working for Fraser Health. She returned to Calgary in August 2007. Thank you to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for the care provided, in particular, Radiation Care Unit No. 1. Special thanks are also extended for the excellent care Elaine received from the Calgary Health Region home care support team and Dr. Ted Braun.
