Raymond LeBlanc 1925 - 2007 Raymond LeBlanc, age 82, of High Street, Moncton and formerly of Bouctouche passed away on Monday, October 29th, 2007 at the Dr Georges L. Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness. Married to Cécile (Née Richard) LeBlanc, he was born in Bouctouche on May 14th, 1925 to the late Methode and the late Marie (Née Allain) LeBlanc. Raymond worked for the Moncton Park Community Services for several years, and was a member of the Farelane Bowling League, Moncton. He is survived by his wife Cécile; one sister, Alfreda Gautreau of Waltham, Mass; one brother, Joseph (Joe) of Bouctouche; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one brother, Léo; one sister, Anita. Visitation will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche from Tuesday October 30th, from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday October 31st, from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Wednesday October 31st at 4:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. CONROY, ALICE ANDREA (NEE HEBB) It is with great love her family said farewell to Alice Andrea Conroy (nee Hebb) of Fredericton on October 27, 2007. Loving wife of Gerald Conroy, adored mother of Bernie, Edith (Notley) and her husband Ross, Mary, Elizabeth and her husband Michael Francis and Andrea (Fournier) and her husband Dan. Gentle grandmother to Ryan, Jordan, Matthew, Laura, Stephen, Lauren, Gillian, John and Alice. She is survived by her sisters Helen McKinstry, Elizabeth Bright, and Charlene Langille, her brothers George, Hugh and Fred Hebb. At the Nova Scotia Hospital she became a Registered Nurse, and later worked in Hospitals in Nova Scotia, Ontario and Quebec. In a loving home she and Gerry raised their five children in Quebec and New Brunswick. With pride her family recalls her many accomplishments, among them her successful completion of her B.A. from St. Thomas University in 1996. She taught us to dance to the music, encouraged us to never tire of learning and surrounded us with the security of knowing we are loved. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home (458-9170) on Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 2 - 3:30 pm with the funeral service following at 3:30 pm in the J. A. McCARTHY, Martin Joseph - In loving memory of Martin Joseph McCarthy, 75 years of Sudbury, who passed away Sunday, October 28th, 2007 at St. Joseph's Villa, Sudbury. He was born in Waterford, Ireland and married Sheila (Murphy) in Lindsay. A well respected and successful self employed salesman Martin was a devout Roman Catholic who faithfully attended mass. He was past president of the Irish Heritage Club; he attended the Open Door Club; and he was a long time supporter of the Sudbury Wolves hockey team. He had a great affinity for horses owning standard bred racing horses and enjoying the camaraderie and excitement at the racing track. He will be remembered as a kind and fun loving man who was devoted to his loving family, especially his precious grandchildren who fondly called him “Ba“. In celebration of his proud Irish heritage it is the prayer of his family and friends - “And until we meet again, Martin, May God hold you in the palm of His hand“. Beloved husband of Sheila (Murphy) McCarthy predeceased 2005. Loving father of Mary Brigid McCarthy and Barbara Anne McCarthy both of Toronto, and Katie Sanders (husband John) of Sudbury. JOHNSTON Gordon Rae - It is with great sadness that the family of Gordon announce his passing on Friday, October 26, 2007 in his 81st year at the Welland General Hospital after a brief illness. Gord was the loving husband of the late Marion Johnston (Morden), 2005. Always remembered and forever in the hearts of his daughters Doreen Murdock (Philip), Ann Johnston and son Gordie Johnston. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Paula (Rob), Carol, Brenda (Carlos), Stephanie (Jim) and Sean (Jodi) and great-grandchildren Jaymz, Randi-Leigh, Jordan, Alexius, Kyla, Madison, Shane, Marques, Olivia and Sabrina. He will be sadly missed by his sister Etta Farr and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Dora and William Johnston, his brothers Walter and Bill and sisters Annie and Elaine. Gord worked as a hammersmith at Canada Forge until he became co-owner of Port Colborne Forge working there until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman he loved to fish and hunt. He took his last big hunting trip with his grandson Sean just two weeks ago. CROWE, Thomas E. (Tim) February 13, 1917 - October 28, 2007 Tim Crowe, beloved husband of Mary of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at the age of 90 years. Tim was born on February 13, 1917 to Edwin and Jesse Crowe at Marquis, Saskatchewan, Tim attended school in Kindersley and Saskatoon. Tim served in the Canadian Naval Services as a Chief Petty Officer from June 1942 to October 1945. After the war he returned to Saskatoon and began his career working for the General Automotive Supply as a Machinist, until 1947 when he moved to Calgary and wed Mary in March, 1948. Tim and Mary made their home in the community of Lynnwood/Ogden in 1956 and were long-time residents at Carefree Resort. Tim worked at CPR Ogden Shops as a journeyman machinist until his retirement, he was a life member of the Machinist and Aerospace Union Lodge No. 345, Alberta Horseshoe Association, and the Royal Canadian Legion No. 154. Tim's passion was his music. His happiest times were spent playing with his band "The Drifters" and later "The Drifters 4". Often referred to as "Mr. Fixit" for his home repair talents, you could call on Tim anytime. He loved golfing, fishing, camping, painting, gardening, and horseshoes. Tim was fondly known as Grampa Crowe, who always had a story to tell and always took the time to listen to ours. Grampa Crowe's good nature greatly influenced the lives of those closest to him, and he will be missed dearly, by all who knew and loved him. Tim is survived by his wife Mary; his brother-in-law Robert "Beck" Van Impe; his nieces, Linda and Susan; and his nephews, Gary and Harry and their children; also his best friend Tippy and many close friends. DEBRA ANN KRANENBURG Debra Ann Kranenburg went to be with her Heavenly Father peacefully with her family by her side at the South Bruce-Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Monday, October 22nd, 2007 at the age of 50 years, the former Debra Scott of Paisley. She will be missed by her best friend and husband Bill Kranenburg. Together they shared a great love for their children; Wesley and his wife Jessica of Scotland, Ontario, Nathaniel and his wife Laura of Port Elgin, Jeremy and his wife Katie of Southampton, Zachary of Paisley, and Emily of Paisley. Bill and Debra also received great joy from their three grandchildren; Josiah, Caleb, and Chloe- Anne. Debbie is survived and greatly loved by her parents Roy and Bertha Scott of Port Elgin, her sister Darlene Mashinter and family of Waterloo, and by her brothers Don Scott and family of Calgary, AB, and Dave Scott and family of Wellesley. She will always be remembered by her many friends and remain in their hearts. Friends called at the W. During the service, family remembrances were presented by her brother Don Scott. Barb Johnston served as pianist and led the music portion of the service. Debbie was born June 16th, 1957 to Roy and Bertha Scott, and was raised on a farm in Paisley. She was educated locally, and graduated from the Accounting Program at Georgian College in Owen Sound. Very involved in her church, it was there that she met Bill Kranenburg, eventually marrying in 1978. Debbie taught Sunday School for many years, and served faithfully as Church Treasurer for 25 years. Aside from farming, together, Bill and Debbie successfully partnered in business when they purchased the Beefway meat packing business in Kincardine in 1997. They then went on to acquire the First Base Restaurant on Port Elgin Beach in 2000, which they quickly established as a family favourite. She faithfully supported her children in all their activities, dreams and aspirations. Debbie enjoyed doing crafts, was an avid garage-saler, loved to shop and collect collectables. She was a wonderful cook who shared her meal creations with her many friends and family. She will be remembered as a fun-loving, Christian woman with a wonderful sense of humour and a bubbly, contagious laugh. Her family will miss the compassionate, caring and generous nature with which she blessed them everyday. Her zeal for life inspired many people to love their lives to the fullest, to enjoy the small pleasures in life, and to trust God in all things. Interment was made at Paisley Cemetery. They raised six children. He was employed with Inco from 1933 to 1970. Having too much vitality at age 65 to stay retired, he took employment with CKSO for 10 years. Riccardo was a master of story telling with tales of his travel and work experiences in Fort William, Kitchener, British Columbia and Sudbury as a young man. He always had a positive outlook on life with a sense of humour, and thirst for learning. He had a love of music and was a master of his accordion. He had a lifelong love of flowers and gardening, music, wine making, travel and the outdoors. He was a faith filled man who enjoyed reading scripture and recited passages from memory. He will always be remembered for his enthusiasm, his vitality, his optimism and wonderful positive outlook on life will be sadly missed! Dorothy was predeceased by her sister Myrtle (late Bert) Alexander of Oshawa, Raymond Scott of Brockville and Bruce (late Olive) Scott of Calgary. Dear sister-in-law of Kathleen (late Glen) Duffy of Perth, Gertrude (late Leonard) Ready of Kingston, Elmira (late Frank) McKinnon of Ottawa, Rosco (late Dolly) Robb of London and Evelyn (Tom) Boles of Smiths Falls. She will be sadly missed by all her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Babe Kelly, beloved husband of Shirley Kelly (nee North); loving father of Patrick (Joanne) Kelly of New Liskeard, ON., and Marina (Mike) Seguin of Russell, ON. Dear Grandpa of Jesse, Alex, Max, Suzanne, Brian, Julie and Marc. Dear brother to Carmel (late Frank) Ulrick, Gerald (late Peggy) Kelly, Leonard (Shirley) Kelly, Rita (Dick) Row, and loved brother in law of Marilyn, Bonnie-Jean, and Opal.
