Il est décédé paisiblement au domicile familial et entouré de sa famille, suite à une courageuse bataille avec la SLA (ou maladie de Lou Gehrig). Il fut le père bien-aimé d'Angèle Paulus (Mike Paulus), Lyne Lafortune (Germain Lafortune) et Suzie Lamothe (Andrei Komarov) et le fier grand-père d'Alexandre Muscroft. Il sera profondément regretté par sa soeur Yolande; ses frères: André, Aimé, Conrad et Yves ainsi que par plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-soeurs, neveux, nièces et par son fidèle compagnon, son chat "Tiger". La famille souhaite remercier spécialement Carrie et Celia, pour l'aide et l'attention qu'elles ont portées à notre père pendant ces derniers mois. Robert "Bob" Roy Dean 1918 - 2007 Robert Dean passed away at his Moncton residence on Friday, July 20th, 2007 following a lengthy illness. Born in Middle Musquodoboit, NS, he was the son of the late James and Annie (Ross) Dean. Bob was a Veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Royal Canadian Artillery during the Normandy invasion, the liberation of Holland, and Germany at the end of the war. Bob retired as a Motorman with CN express, Moncton, following 32 years of service. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch #6, a member of the CN Pensioners Association, and a member of the Uplands Baptist Church. In his retirement Bob spent many hours in his woodworking shop, where he enjoyed his woodcrafts, cabinet and furniture making. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hazel (Ellis) Dean; sisters, Catherine Watson of Middle Musquodoboit, NS, Shirley Stairs (Harold) of Burtts Corner, NB; brothers, John of Woodstock, ON, Norman of St. Catherines, ON, Basil (Edna) of Woodstock, ON; as well as many nieces, nephews and families. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Ernest, Carl, Tom, Charles and Laurie. There will be no visitation prior to the celebration of life service to be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 23rd at Uplands Baptist Church, 398 Salisbury Road, Pastor Gordon James officiating, assisted by Rev. Jack Allen. No scented products please. A reception will follow the service in the church hall. Interment in Mountain View Cemetery, Wittenburg, NS. MORAN, Sister Mary (Sister Mary Rose) - A Grey Sister of the Immaculate Conception, Pembroke, Ontario, died in the Pembroke Regional Hospital on the 22ND day of July, 2007 in the 72ND year of her Religious Life. Left to mourn are the members of her Religious Community, her cousins Cecelia Dineen, Gary Dineen (Annemieke) and Family. Predeceased by her parents, John Patrick Moran and Hannah Murphy, and her brother, John. Sister Mary was born on November 15TH, 1919 in Craighurst, Ontario. She entered the Grey Sisters' Community on August 31ST, 1935, pronouncing her final vows on July 31ST, 1941. Her ministry involved teaching, beginning in Midland, serving as principal and classroom teacher for four years. She moved on to teach in various areas including Timmins, Whitby, Windsor and the Chinese Catholic Centre, Vancouver. Sister Mary worked for a number of years as teaching principal, music teacher and coordinator of elementary schools. Retiring in 1982, she moved to Parish Ministry, serving at Assumption Parish, Windsor, and for eleven years at Holy Name Parish, Pembroke. Her final years were spent at Shalom Residence, Pembroke. Resting at the Marguerite Centre, 700 Mackay Street, Pembroke, Ontario on Tuesday July 24TH from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Special Vespers in the Chapel at 7:00 p.m. Liturgy of the Resurrection in the Marguerite Centre Chapel on Wednesday July 25TH at 10:30 a.m. Interment, St. Columba's Cemetery, Pembroke. John E. Hanlon 1926 - 2007 John E. Hanlon, 81, of Turtle Creek, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, July 20th, 2007. Mary Agnes Getty 1914 - 2007 REXTON, NB - Mary Agnes Getty, wife of the late Gordon Gregory Getty, of Lions Nursing Home, Rexton, passed away at her residence on Sunday, July 22nd, 2007 at the age of 92. Born in Bathurst, NB on December 18th, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Dickie and the late Margaret (O'Brien) Dickie. Mary Agnes was a member of First United Church, Bathurst, NB. She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Elizabeth Agnew of Harcourt; a sister, Irene (Dickie) Hudson of Bathurst; five grandchildren, Stephen Beers, Vernon Beers, Gregory Beers, Randall Beers, and Sally Allen; and by five great grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband, Mary Agnes was predeceased by a brother, Earl Dickie. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. McEACHERN, ILLA M. - The death of Illa Maxine McEachern of Saint John, wife of the late John "Jack" McEachern, occurred on Saturday, July 21st, 2007 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Tracy, NB on March 16th, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Myrtle (Burnett) Harris. Illa was employed at New System Laundry for many years before her retirement. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and the Millidgeville Senior Citizen's Club. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, kittens and spending time with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Arsenault (Rheal) of Quispamsis; one son, William McEachern (Moyra) of Ontario; daughter-in-law, Dorothy McEachern of Kingston, ON; one sister, Althea Fisher (George) of Guelph, ON; sister-in-law, Lillian Harris of Fredericton Junction; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, Jack; and brothers, Alton and Fred Harris. PAUL, Robert Clifford - In loving memory of Robert Paul, 89 years of Sudbury who passed away Friday, July 20th, 2007 at St. Joseph's Health Center. He was born in Cache Bay and married Pirkko (Wilson) in 1949 in Sudbury. Robert came to Sudbury in 1938 from Cache Bay. A proud Canadian he served overseas during WWII with the Canadian Army and he was a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He had been a Cub Master with the local scouting movement for 6 yrs. Robert had worked at the CPR for 42 1/2 years retiring as the supervisor of accounting in 1981. A man of faith he belonged to St. Paul's United Church. He enjoyed blueberry and cranberry picking, square dancing, camping and hunting. Robert will be remembered as a strong willed and honest person who was dedicated to his loving family. Beloved husband of Pirkko (Wilson) Paul of Sudbury. Loving father of Glenn (wife Cyndy) of Sudbury, Doug (friend Tasha) of North Bay. Cherished grandfather of Matt. Originally from Dieppe, NB, Norma resided in New Glascow, NS, since 1970 where she graduated from the Community College in the Nature Student Program before accepting a position with Fred C. Morrison in New Glascow where she worked for many years until 1995. She is survived by her husband, Allie of New Glascow; a daughter, Nadine Basque of New Glascow; granddaughters, Danielle Mason and Céline Mason of New Glascow; sisters, Pauline (Frank) DeCarlo of Bobcaygeon, ON, Simone Poirier of Calgary, AB; a brother, Gerald (Jeannine) Poirier of Moncton, NB; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. Sister Mary Moran (Sister Mary Rose) Sister Mary Moran (Sister Mary Rose), A Grey Sister of the Immaculate Conception, Pembroke, Ontario, died in the Pembroke Regional Hospital on the 22nd day of July, 2007 in the 72nd year of her Religious Life. Left to mourn are the members of her Religious Community, her cousins Cecelia Dineen, Gary Dineen (Annemieke) and Family. Predeceased by her parents, John Patrick Moran and Hannah Murphy, and her brother, John. Sister Mary was born on November 15th, 1919 in Craighurst, Ontario. She entered the Grey Sisters Community on August 31st, 1935, pronouncing her final vows on July 31st, 1941. Her ministry involved teaching, beginning in Midland, serving as principal and classroom teacher for four years. She moved on to teach in various areas including Timmins, Whitby, Windsor and the Chinese Catholic Centre, Vancouver. Sister Mary worked for a number of years as teaching principal, music teacher and coordinator of elementary schools. Retiring in 1982, she moved to Parish Ministry, serving at Assumption Parish, Windsor, and for eleven years at Holy Name Parish, Pembroke. Her final years were spent at Shalom Residence, Pembroke. Resting at the Marguerite Centre, 700 Mackay Street, Pembroke, Ontario on Tuesday July 24th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Special Vespers in the Chapel at 7:00 p.m. Liturgy of the Resurrection in the Marguerite Centre Chapel on Wednesday July 25th at 10:30 a.m. Interment, St. Columba's Cemetery, Pembroke.
