ANDREW, Frances (Nee Bloom) WWII Veteran, Canadian Women's Army Corps Frances Andrew (nee Bloom) passed away peacefully in hospital on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the age of 85. Predeceased by her loving husband Thomas Kenneth Andrew and infant daughter Ingrid. Dear mother of Fiona Andrew, Ottawa. Lovingly remembered by her sister Dorothy and brother-in-law Donald Hesch of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, their children Donna, Kevin and Ted, as well as her nephew Rev. David Andrew of Kanata, and her cousins Margaret Hobbs and Muriel and Bill Rogers of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Frances will be missed by her many friends in Ottawa, especially the First Unitarian Congregation. GOULDING, Rona (nee RAMAGE) 16 December 1949 - 11 February 2007 At Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre, Rona, dearly loved wife of Ian Goulding. Loving daughter of Isobel and the late James Ramage of Loanhead, Midlothian, Scotland, dear sister of Lynne Lowe (Phil) of Dalkeith, Scotland and Elaine Stacey (Chris) of Sunbury, Victoria, Australia. Much loved step-mother of Susan Goulding (Alex Cachia) and the late Richard. Fond aunt of Phillip, Michael and David Lowe in Scotland, Allan Stacey in Australia, Michael Goulding (Kate) and Sarah Griffiths (Noel) in England, and sister-in-law of Eric & Moira Goulding in England. Sadly missed by colleagues and friends at Centennial Branch, Ottawa Public Library, by friends at her exercise classes at Nepean Sportsplex and a host of relations & friends in Ottawa, Scotland and around the world. Rona's short battle with cancer ended an active, healthy, good life well-lived. Thanks to staff at the Gynecology-Oncology Unit at the General Hospital and especially to nurses and doctors at Elisabeth Bruyere for their loving care. Cremation service private. Born in Kentville, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of Alice "Honey" (Veinot) Kyte, Port Williams, Nova Scotia and the late Ben Kyte. She was a teacher and musician who was kind-hearted, loving and giving. She had a love for family and especially adored her granddaughter. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Neil) Grant, St. Stephen, New Brunswick; a granddaughter, Ainsley; a brother, Dick, Kentville; a special niece, Shannon (Bill) Buick, and their son, Josh, Port Williams. Dorothy Carolyn Stannard 1919-2007 HILLSBOROUGH, NB - Dorothy Carolyn Stannard , 87, of Hillsborough passed away peacefully at her home on February 12, 2007. Dorothy was born in Berry Mills on December 24, 1919, the daughter of the late Percy and Martha Jonah. She was a housewife and homemaker. Dorothy's family was very important to her, she was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a faithful member of the First Hillsborough United Baptist Church where she was the past treasurer. She was also an active member of the WMS when she was younger. She loved playing Dominos with her friends, and was very hard to beat. She was an avid gardener having had vegetable gardens and flower gardens for most of her life. In the past few years she really enjoyed sitting at her table and watching the many birds and squirrels that she had feeders for and also had a chance to get to know a few raccoons. She was a special lady who will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Joyce Dube of Riverview; son, Paul Stannard (Dianne Thibodeau) of Hillsborough; grandchildren, Tamie Ward (Peter), Todd Stannard (Patsy), Justin Stannard (Mary Beth) and Jamie Steeves; her great grandchildren Joseph, Scott, Ashel, Kristen, Michael, Kimberley and Stacie. She will also be missed by her nephew Kelvin Rose of Ontario and by her daughter-in-law Sherry Steeves of Salem. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband George and by her only sister Marie Rose (Ken). She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 evening from 7 to 9pm, Wednesday, February 14, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Nicole Babineau 1965 - 2007 SHEDIAC, NB - Nicole Babineau (Boudreau), 41, of Inglis Rue, Shediac, NB, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Saturday, February 10, 2007 following a lengthly courageous battle with cancer. Born in Shediac, NB on August 24, 1965 she was the daughter of Carmela Richard and the late Omer Boudreau. Nicole was a former secretary for Midland Transport and attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac. She is survived by her husband, Réginald Babineau; mother, Carmela Richard; one sister, Janice Allain (Donald) of Dieppe; sister-in-law, Janice LeBlanc (Louis) of Dieppe; two bothers-in-law, Marc Babineau (Denise) of Grande-Digue and Donald Babineau (Susan) of Moncton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Aurèle and Rosaline Babineau of Grande-Digue; nephews, Mathieu and Jérémie; three nieces, Mélanie, Danika and Érica; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. HARDING, SISTER MARY, Sisters of Service - Died peacefully at LaSalle Manor, Scarborough, Ontario, on February 7th, 2007, having served 65 years as a Sister of Service. Born in Saint John, NB, Sr. Harding was the eldest of three children born to William J. Harding and Mary Ellen McDevitt. Attracted by the SOS Ministry to young women in their Residences, she entered the Sisters of Service on January 21st, 1942 and spent her early years in SOS Residences in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Responding to a need in the Religious Education field, she served in the SOS Catechetical Centres in Regina, SK, Edmonton, AB, and Fargo, ND. With new directions in the Catechetical Program in the 1960's Sr. Mary had the opportunity to follow her interest in nursing. Graduating as a certified Nursing Assistant, Sr. Mary served on the staff of Manning Municipal Hospital in Manning, AB, and St. John's Hospital in Edson, AB. Retiring from active nursing in 1983 she was appointed Director/Superior of the SOS Long Term Car Program in St. Catharines, ON. Pastoral work on the SOS Mission in Clarenville, NF, and the Cathedral Parish in Regina, SK, followed until her retirement in Halifax in 1997. When the Halifax Mission closed in 2001, Sr. Mary took up residence in the SOS Retirement Centre at Scarborough Court, Toronto and later at LaSalle Manor. Sr. Mary is survived by her sisters, Ann (William) Hachey and Dorothy (Douglas) Hebert; nieces, Kay Holmes and Ann Marie Hachey; nephew, Eddie Hebert; grandniece, Debbie Pethick (Tom) and son Aiden, grandniece, Dawn MacBurnie and sons Colin and Terry; and a special cousin, Sharon Lawlor and her family. She is survived by her children Stella (Charles) Nicholas, Debra Moulton (companion Bob Goodine of Mars Hill), Connie (Davis) Moulton, Susan Howard all of Tobique First Nation, Nancy Simon of Manchester, NH, Cathy Simon of Caribou, ME, James Ellis (Lori) of Atlanta, GA; her sisters Connie Bernard (Joe), Pearl Martin, and Gloria Willette all of Tobique First Nation; numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Mert Goeres; her son Wendall Ellis; grandson Adam Moulton; granddaughter Stella Jeannette Nicholas; sisters Stella Saulis, Bonnie Nicholas; and her brother Herbert Deveau. Mavis was a member of the Native Women's Association of Canada and was one of the founders of the Tobique Bingo. Resting at her home with visitation Tuesday from 4 pm until the time of the funeral. GARFIELD, DONALD MALCOLM - 77, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at his daughter Donna's residence on Sunday February 11, 2007. Beloved husband to the late Vivian (Craft) McDonald Garfield for 51 years. Born in Saint John, a son of the late William and Florence (Archibald) Garfield. He is survived by five sons; Andrew McDonald (Mary Louise)of Kanata ON, Thomas McDonald (Marilyn), John McDonald both of Wesfield, Gary (Marion) Garfield of Grand Bay/Westfield and Daryl (Dianna) Garfield of Cold Lake AB, seven daughters; Anne Lingley (Karl) of GrandBay/Westfield, Linda Lapointe (Edward) of Saint John, Donna Wheaton and Sharon Beddow (Liam) both of GrandBay/Westfield, Terry Knox (Dennis Wheaton) of Cochrane AB, Vivian Wheaton (Kenneth) of Riverglade and Thelma Clayton (Richard) of GrandBay/Westfield. Donald will also be sadly missed by one brother, William Garfield of Saint John, four sisters; Constance Floyd (Russell) of Saint John, Gail Fisher and June Garfield both of Saint John and Faye Garnett (Jack) of Grand Lake, 32 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren as well as two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Vivian and parents, Donald was predeceased by, one brother, Alfred Garfield, one sister, Betty Lou Garfield, one grandson, Kirk Allison Lingley and one great grandaughter, Kayla Balemans. Over the years Donald held many jobs, including Chittick, Long Shoreman, Sussex Breverages, Ralph Carpenter's and the NB Compensation Board. He was an honourary member of the Legion Bayview branch #22 and active for many years with fundraisers and bingo's. Florence " Claire" (Bub) Henderson Churchill (nee Archibald) 1910 - 2007 Florence "Claire" (Bub) Henderson Churchill (nee Archibald), 96, of Riverview and formerly of Sackville passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11th, 2007 at the Moncton Hospital with her loving family by her side. Claire was born in Lawrencetown, NS on September 5th, 1910 the daughter of the late Issac Chipman and Clara Amelia Archibald (nee Daniels). A 1930 BA graduate of Acadia, Claire was the Asst. Librarian at NS Technical College where she met her husband, Edgar H. Henderson. She was a member of the IODE, Home and School Association and Fort Massey United Church. The family moved from Halifax to Sackville N.B. in 1947 where Claire continued to be active in the Home and School Assn. She was also President and Charter Member of the Ladies Curling Club, President of the Hospital Auxiliary Assn., member of the CFUW, Sackville Art Assn. Sackville United Church and its UCW number 7. Claire also worked many years at the Mount Allison University Library until her retirement in 1975. She will live on in the hearts of her family forever. She will be deeply missed by her loving family, daughter Pat Hess (Ian) of Riverview; twin sons, James Henderson (Sharon) of Riverview and David Henderson (Barbara) of Ontario; her eight grandchildren, and her precious 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her younger brother, Edward C. Archibald; husbands, Edgar H. Henderson and Gordon L. Churchill. Honoring Claire's own wishes cremation is to take place. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held in Sackville at a later date. Elle laisse ses enfants: Gisèle (feu Peck), Gilles (Karen), Ghislaine (Claude), Lise (Roger), Françoise (Léo), Gaëtan (Lucienne), Yvan (Carole), Normand (Diane), Réjean (Carole), Yvette (Serge), Raymond (Diane), Diane (Philippe), Rémi (Mary-Ann), Jean-Guy (Sylvie) et feu Jean-Yves; 25 petits-enfants et 17 arrière-petits-enfants. La dépouille mortelle reposera à la Maison mère, 9 rue Bruyère, Ottawa, à compter de 16h, le 12 février 2007. BARBEAU, Jacques Conrad - 1933-2007. La famille annonce avec regret, le décès de Jacques Conrad Barbeau, décédé à sa résidence le vendredi 9 février 2007 suite à une longue et courageuse lutte contre le cancer des poumons et de la fibrose pulmonaire idiopathique. Fils de feu de Conrad et de feu Oliva (née St-Denis) Barbeau. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, sa camarade et sa meilleure amie de 50 1/2 ans, Constance Barbeau (née Bazinet ) de Sudbury. Il laisse également dans le deuil son frère Louis Barbeau (Yvette) de Victoria, C-B. et ses belles-soeurs Madeleine Bazinet (feu Roméo), Victoria Clouthier (feu Gérard), Claire Valcourt (Harry) et Rita Bazinet. Barbeau était un enseignant à la retraite avec le Conseil Scolaire de Sudbury, ayant enseigné l'histoire et la géographie pendant 25 années. Jacques, un artiste doué de plusieurs talents, aimait jouer le piano, chanter, peinturer et son intérêt d'explorer d'autres pays l'a emmené a entreprendre plusieurs voyages. Il legs à sa chère famille et ses amis, de doux souvenirs de plusieurs occasions spéciales. À la demande de M. Barbeau il n'y aura aucune visite.
