Savage, René LA FAMILLE SAVAGE a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de M. RENÉ SAVAGE décédé le samedi 10 février 2007, à l'âge de 91 ans. Il était le fils de feu Lorenzo Savage et de feu Albina Séguin. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Laurette Lalonde, ses enfants: Claude (Lise St-Denis), Claudette (Gilles Lacroix), Constance (feu Jean-Claude Meloche), Yvan (Pauline Parent), Gaston (Charmaine Clément), Ghislaine (Yvon Joly)(feu Thaddé St-Denis), Carmen (Paul Bisson) (feu Marcel Prud'Homme), Ronald (Carole Sabourin), Sylvette (Gilles Roy); son frère Laurent (Emilienne Mayer). Il fut le grand père affectueux de vingt deux petits-enfants et vingt sept arrière-petits-enfants. Il fut prédécédé ses soeurs: Germaine(feu Marcel Vinette), Léona (Léo Rollin), Dolorès (feu Laurent Joly), Marie (feu Edgard Rollin), Raymonde (Henri Roy); ses frères: Gérard (Jeanne d'Arc Vinette), Alban (Georgette Joly). Nous tenons à remercier le personnel de la Résidence St-Mathieu d'Hammond pour leur dévouement exceptionnel. Pendant vingt ans, il fut le responsable des parcours de la distribution du journal Le Droit, de l'Est ontarien. BENNETT, Patrick Raymond. After a very brief illness, Patrick passed away suddenly at his home in North York, Toronto on February 5, 2007. He would have been fifty-eight on March 17. Pat was the dearly beloved son of Grace Ackerman Bennett and the late Raymond Bennett. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters Kathryn and Laurene, and brother-in-law Ron Kara. He will always be dear "Unkie Paddy" to nephew Simon and niece Valerie. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and many cousins. His gentle humour, innate decency and generosity of spirit touched us all. OBITUARY REV. RAYMOND JOSEPH KEARNS In his seventy-fifth year, and after a courageous battle with cancer, died peacefully at home in the loving arms of his family. He is survived by Gwen, his loving wife of 53 years, Andrew, Sharon, Damian, Bonnie, David and his faithful dog Angel. Following his retirement from CNR after 35 years of service, he was ordained to the priesthood in 1991. Father Ray then became incumbent at his most beloved parish of St. Aidan's in Ville Emard where he remained for 12 years. Visitation will be held at St. Barnabas (94 Lorne Ave.) in St. Lambert on Monday, February 12 from 3 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be officiated by Bishop Barry Clark on Tuesday, February 13 at the Cathedral at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Multiple Sclerosis Society in his memory would be greatly appreciated. HENNESSY, Reverend Father Francis "Frank" O.M.I At Humber River Regional Hospital, Toronto on Sunday, February 11, 2007. Fr. Frank was born in Vancouver on December 3, 1915. Predeceased by his parents Ida Miller Hennessy and William E. Hennessy, his brothers Fr. Jack Hennessy O.M.I., and Bernard. He leaves one sister Mary Pauline Murphy and brother-in-law (Bud), who reside in Phoenix, Arizona. Fr. Frank's numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews are spread throughout the USA and its territories. Fr. Frank was ordained a Priest in Ottawa June 21, 1942. Throughout his lifetime he was a teacher. His first assignment in 1943 was to St. Patrick's College High School Mathematics department in Ottawa. Upon the completion of graduate studies at Columbia University, he joined with Swithun Bowers O.M.I. in founding the Ottawa University Graduate School of Social Welfare, then attached to St. Patrick's College on the Echo Drive Campus. This graduate school later became the Carleton University Graduate School of Social Welfare. Fr. Frank remained as a professor at the St. Patrick's College Graduate School of Social Welfare from 1949 through 1958 when he transferred to the Faculty of Arts at St. Patrick's College to teach Psychology. In 1962 Fr. Frank took over the Catholic Charities portfolio for the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and served in that capacity till 1969. Subsequent to 1969 he served as Parish Priest, social worker, counsellor and Chaplain in Ottawa, Halifax, London and Toronto. From 1996 till the present Fr. Frank was in semi-retirement at St. Demetrius Residence in Toronto though he maintained some active ministry with his former colleagues, associates, students and fellow Oblates. Friends will be received at the St. Demetrius Ukranian Catholic Church, 135 LaRose Ave., Toronto on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 from 1 p.m. Funeral Mass will begin at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Canadian Martyrs Church, Ottawa, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 8 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2007. Interment to follow in the Oblate Cemetery in Arnprior, Ontario. Donations to the Missionary Association of` Mary Immaculate would be appreciated. McCAFFREY, Ellen Mona (nee Finlayson) Born June 15, 1919 at Calgary, Alberta and long time resident of Ottawa, Ontario. Died peacefully at home, St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockville on February 9, 2007. She is survived by her daughters Barbara Ferguson (Bob), Marilyn Crummey (Paul) and Julie McCaffrey (Phillip Saucier) and by her grandson Geoffrey Ferguson. Fondly remembered by many very special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Carol McCaffrey; her sister Marling Kilgour; her brothers Donald and Ernest Finlayson; by her beloved sister-in-law Agnes and by her nephew Ken. Special thanks Dr. G.S. McMEANS, Marjorie (Mar) Mar in her 99th year passed away peacefully at Carlingview Manor, Ottawa, on Saturday, February 10th, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband Lendrum (Slim) McMeans on September 14th, 1983 and is survived by her daughter Kit (Cliff Watson), her son Terry (Anna Lee), her grandchildren John (Lisa), Suzie (John Settino) and her great-grandchildren Joey and Maggie McMeans and Gillian Settino. The family wishes to thank the staff on the 6th floor of Carlingview Manor, especially Rose, for their kind care and attention over the last few months. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind would be greatly appreciated. Reginald E. Keith Reginald E. Keith, 72, of Aylmer Que. passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2007 while touring near Lima, Peru. Born in Lower Ridge N.B., dear son of the late Winston and Bernice (Black) Keith and loving husband of the late Judy Harvey (2001). He leaves to mourn, two daughters, Lori and Arlene; three sons, Michael, Gregory and Robert, their spouses; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Ottawa area. He will be missed by brothers, Malcolm, Abbotsford B.C., Ralph and Arthur Lower Ridge, Connel Sussex, Robin, Egypt; sisters, Eileen Nash, Barnesville, Pauline Steeves and Ann Dunham, Havelock and their spouses; a large extended family and many friends. Reg was a retired teacher with the Ottawa-Carleton School Board. He graduated from Havelock High School and became principal of that school after graduating from Provincial Normal School in Fredericton. He taught in native communities in the N.W.T. and later in Ottawa and Aylmer. He had a keen interest in genealogy and traveled much. His enthusiasm, generosity and kind nature is remembered. BOURQUE, ANITA - Mrs. Anita Bourque, 77, of Rogersville, NB, who passed away on Saturday February 10th at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Mrs. Anita Bourque was born in Rogersville, NB. The daughter of the late Alex and Mary Jane (Genevieve) (Richard) Martin. Anita worked for Connor Bros in Blacks Harbour for many years, Sobeys in Moncton before retiring. She loved gardening, sewing and knitting. She was a devoted catholic and volunteer to church functions. Anita is survived by her husband Clarence Bourque; daughters, Ida (Bill) Vautour of Miramichi, Jeanette (Osborne) Hawkins of Beaver Harbour, Theresa (Gordon) Gaudett of Pennfield; sister, Bertha Arsenault of Rogersville; brothers, Damien (Danella) Martin of Montreal, PQ., Alfred (Ernestine) Martin of Rogersville, Eddy (Emma) Martin of Rogersville; sister-in-law, Mai Martin of Rogersville; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Annie Maude (Ring) Henderson. She was a long time member of Main Street Baptist Church and belonged to the Agnes Waring Guild. She enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Beaus and Belles Square Dancing Club. Her greatest love in life was her family and she took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. HURST, BARBARA ROSE - Barbara Rose Hurst, 88, passed peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Loch Lomond Villa on February 9, 2007. Loving wife of 59 years to Philip D. Hurst. Born in Saint John on October 13, 1918 a daughter of the late Harry and Alice (Corbett) Marley. Besides her husband Philip, Barbara will be sadly missed by two sons, Bruce (Susan) of Rothesay and Harry (Joanne) of Nauwigewauk; one brother, Raymond Marley (Eileen) of Rothesay. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Anne (Hubbard) Duncan, Saint John; his son, John Warren Duncan (Donna), Frankford, ON; daughters, Catherine D. Allen (Aaron), Fredericton, NB and Christine E. Taylor (Chris), Frankford, ON; one sister, Joan Mahabir (Ray), Miramichi, NB; and one grandson, Duncan Richard Taylor, Frankford, ON; brother-in-law, Kevin Hubbard (Tanya); sister-in-laws, Sharon Steeves (Wayne) and Debbie Evans (Terrance) all of Saint John; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his father, Warren was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Lynn Danells. Warren worked for the Irving Oil Refinery as an Occupational Supervisor for 32 years retiring in 2004. He also owned and operated Dunc's Fly Shop for over 30 years. He belonged to the Hammond River Angling Association and the Atlantic Salmon Federation. Warren loved life and lived it to the fullest. Tying flies was a passion only surpassed by his love for family and friends. His drive for conservation, poetry, writing and collecting was second to none. To say he will be missed is an understatement, only Warren himself could find the right words to express how everyone he touched feels at this time. His grandson Duncan was fortunate enough to not only have his name but also his unconditional love. He was a living legend and his legacy will carry on. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. COY, DONALD O. The passing of Don Coy, husband of Beatrice "Bertie" (Fletcher) Coy, occurred on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Upper Gagetown, NB he was a son of the late Weston and Eva (McCordick) Coy. Don was a veteran of WWII, serving in England and Scotland, a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 Fredericton. After his service time, he worked at Coy's Cleaners in Fredericton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors in general. In addition to his wife, Don is survived by one son, Dale (Vicki) Coy of Fredericton, NB; two step-sons, Joe Chase and Kevin (Karen) Chase; two step-daughters, Bonnie (Mike) McCutcheon and Debbie (Frank) Dunphy all of Fredericton, NB; several step- grandchildren and great step-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy LeBlanc of Gardner, MA; two sisters-in-law, Jennie Coy of Fredericton, NB and Myrtle Coy of ON; and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Don was predeceased by two brothers, Warren and Lawrence Coy; and two sisters, Vivian Bonneville and Helen Fowler. There will be no visitation by request of the family. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February, 13, 2007 at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Lionel George Clarke 1919 – 2007 The death of Lionel George Clarke, 87 years, husband of the late Ellen Ruth (MacPherson) of Shediac Bridge and formerly of Moncton occurred at his residence on Saturday, February 10, 2007. Born in Moncton, May 5th, 1919 he was the son of the late George and Gertrude Clarke. Lionel was a well known car dealer in the Moncton area. A veteran of the Second World War he served with Canadian Army Film and Photo Corp and was a News Reel and Camera operator. He was a previous dedicated member of the Moncton Y's Men Club, an avid gardener and craftsman, with special interests in sailing and photography. He is also remembered for his organizational skills and abilities, and his brilliant sense of humour. He will be sadly missed. He is survived by his two children, G.S. Bruce Clarke and his wife, Priscilla, Mary-Jean Cloney and her husband, David; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Clarke (Patrick), Christopher Clarke (Angela), Lisette Oliver (Norman), Keith Murray, Patricia Murray (Nik), Timothy Murray, Kristina Cloney (Dave) Jonathan Cloney; seven great grandchildren, Tristan, Braedon, Jessica, Nikky, Nevaeh, Leif and Grace; as well as Mac, Rufus and Samtoo. In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by his step mother, Pearl Hazel Clarke; and his sister, Norma Forbes. By request there will not be any visiting hours or funeral service. Raymond Tremblay Passed away on / Décédé(e) le February 11, 2007 Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Raymond Tremblay le dimanche 11 février à l'âge de 68 ans. Il fut prédécédé par ses parents, Pierre et Muriel. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Odile; deux filles: Claudie épouse de Denis Blais de Fauquier et Élaine épouse de Michel Labelle de Timmins; deux fils: Renaud époux de Sheila de Petawawa et Robin époux de Julie de Fauquier; deux frères: Léo époux de Imelda et Yvon époux de Anna-Marie tous de Fauquier; ainsi que neuf petits-enfants: Simon, Pierre, Philippe, Sophie, Sébastien, Chloé, Chantale, Pascale et Jean-Samuel. Mr. Tremblay was born on Aug. 26, 1938 in Sudbury. He worked as a woodcutter, logger and heavy equipment operator for Spruce Falls until retiring in 1992. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife Odile; daughters Claudie (Denis Blais) of Fauquier and Élaine (Michel Labelle) of Timmins; and sons Renaud (Sheila) of Petawawa and Robin (Julie) of Fauquier. Also surviving are brothers Léo (Imelda) and Yvon (Anna-Marie), all of Fauquier and grandchildren Simon, Pierre, Philippe, Sophie, Sébastien, Chloé, Chantale, Pascale and Jean-Samuel. Mr. Tremblay was predeceased by his parents Pierre and Muriel. Father Jean Morin will lead the funeral service Feb. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Ste-Agnès Church in Fauquier.
