Son of the late Denis Filiatrault and of the late Delima (née Champagne) Filiatrault. Beloved husband of Fredrica Filiatrault (nee Meijer) of Alban. Step dad to John (Shirley) of West Arm, Mitchell (Judy) of Alban, Bernie of Parry Sound, Monique Vachon (Gerry) and Ron (Diane) both of Sudbury. Grandfather to 11 grandchildren and Papa to 10 great- grandchildren. Dear brother of Laurette Deptuck (late John) of Kingston, Madeleine Doucette (Rudy) of Richmond Hill, Hélène (late Mark) of Collingwood and Patricia (Buddy) of St. Thomas. Predeceased by his sisters and brothers Theresa Cardinal (late Louis) and Gaston (Fredrica of Alban), Evelyn Sabourin (Aimé of Florida). Uncle to many nephews and nieces. Joe who was an avid fisherman and hunter, also enjoyed woodworking. He worked for INCO for 40 years. Beloved brother of Lionel (wife Mary Ellen) of Brampton, Lorraine Mazzuchin (husband Alfio) of Sudbury, André (wife Adeline) of Chelmsford, Jacques (wife Llynne) of Ottawa and Paul (wife Charlotte) of Val Caron. HOME AT LAST WINTON, Vina May Peacefully, in her sleep at the Village of Riverside Glen, Guelph, Ontario, Tuesday, February 06, 2007, Vina “Vi“ May Winton (nee Humphries), in her eighty-eighth year. Born May 31, 1919 in Bruce Mines, Ontario. Vi was predeceased by her husband Cecil her brother Bruce and her faithful sisters Myrtle,Elva,Helen and Lilian and Patches her companion for many years. Vi was the beloved mother of three sons and their families: Tim and Jean, Ian Laura,Christopher,Julia and Elizabeth of Edmonton; Tom and Margo,Brad,Matt and Greg of Guelph; and Don, Sharon and Michael of Mississauga. To Vi's many loyal friends in Sudbury who helped her maintain her independence in the comfort of her own home while tending to her beloved rose garden on Marion Street over the past two decades, our deepest appreciation. In particular, to Pauline and Gene Byers, Carolyn and Mac Sinclair, Joan Block, Dot McCracken and Harvey MacKenney thank you. To her coffee and bridge club friends and friendly members of the congregation of St. Andrew's United Church with whom she shared so many memories and laughs over the years, you will never know how much Vi both appreciated your presence in her life and missed your company over the past year. Elle était l'épouse bien-aimée de feu Gérard Marleau, la fille de feu François Dugas et de feu Agnès Leduc. BOULTER, JAMES RICHARD MACKINNON (JIM) James Boulter of Nackawic passed away February 8, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born in Fredericton in 1939, a son of the late Norman and Mabel (MacKinnon) Boulter. James was employed for thirty years at St. Anne Nackawic Pulp and Paper Mill until his retirement in 1999. He served as Town Councillor in Nackawic from 1983 to 1986. He served as chairman of Nackawic Community Days, was chairman of the Nackawic chapter of Ducks Unlimited. In 2000 Jim was inducted into the NB Softball Hall of Fame, he enjoyed umpiring throughout Canada for many years. Jim volunteered at the Fredericton Soup Kitchen. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the family. Camping, hunting fishing and woodworking , as well as the weekly cribbage games were enjoyed as well. He is survived by his wife Rebecca (Deveau) Boulter; three daughters, Faith Brooks of Nackawic, Heather Boulter St. John, and Sandra Boulter Vallee (Ray) Halifax; one step son Christopher Hay (Mylene) Moncton; two step daughters Gina Hay (Christian) Moncton, and Karen Drost Hartland; seven grandchildren Lori Brooks, Amanda Brooks, Louis Alexandre Vallee, Austin and Bradley Drost, and Isabella and Jacob Lavoie; One great granddaughter LaTrea Brooks; Five sisters Jessie Saunders, Gertrude Canney (Honey) both of Fredericton, Greta Palmer of Central Hampstead, NB, Shirley Finnie (Jack) Barbara Smith (Reid) of Lincoln, NB; Four brothers Hazen Boulter (Roseline) Fredericton, Harold Boulter (Joan) Vernon, BC., Lloyd Boulter (Verna) Gagetown, and Kenneth Boulter (Florence) Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta; One sister-in-law Lenora Boulter of St. Andrews, NB. McALEENAN, MARY ELIZABETH - Mary E. (Stinson) McAleenan passed away peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, on February 8, 2007, widow of Andrew Francis McAleenan who pre- deceased her. Born on September 23, 1914, she was the daughter of Robert Robinson and Florence Elizabeth (Dicken) Stinson. She was the last surviving member of her generation of the Stinson family, having been predeceased by her twin sister Alice Dicken Pendleton; sisters Margaret Beryl, Bessie Roberta (Betty), Florence Elizabeth (Babe) Lord and her only brother Robert Noel. Predeceased also by her sister-in-law, Anita (Fisher), and her brother-in-law, Sydney Lord. She is survived by many loving family members: nieces: Barbara (Pendleton) Pyle, Joan (Pendleton) Stanton, Jean Stinson, Dianne (Stinson) McLellan, Doreen (Pendleton) Enman, Catherine (Stinson) Moses, Susan (Lord) Cummings, and nephews: Larry Pendleton, Don Pendleton, Robert Pendleton, Brian Lord and Robert Stinson; 10 grandnieces; five grandnephews plus many great-grand nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved and to whom she was a surrogate "mom", not having had any children of her own. Over the years she has nurtured and cared for all the younger generation of her family. She was pre- deceased by nephews Gordon Lord and Richard Pendleton and niece Lynda Dawn Stinson. An active member of All Saints Anglican Church her entire life, she served as president of St. Mary's Chancel Guild for many years, relinquishing this responsibility only when her health made it necessary to do so. For many years she was a member of the church choir and an active member of the Anglican Church Women. In 1992 Mary was presented with an award from the United Nations Association in Canada in recognition of over 35 years of volunteer work for the Red Cross, the Kidney Foundation, Arthritis Foundation and others. She always gave of herself for the betterment of others. She will be remembered by many locals and visitors alike as the lady who sat outside her home at 268 Parr Street when good weather prevailed to wave to or share a kind word with passerbys. She particularly loved to exchange words with the new students coming to the New Brunswick Community College who passed by her door. The family will receive visitors at All Saints Anglican Church at 77 King Street, St. Andrews, on Saturday, February 10, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 11, at 3:00 p.m., Canon John Matheson officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at the Church of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Cemetery where she will lay in rest beside her husband of 60 years. MacEWAN, Elizabeth Turner 16 July 1926 - 3 February 2007 Elizabeth Turner MacEwan (nee Turner Bone) passed away peacefully in Winnipeg on February 3rd at age 80. She is survived by her husband Douglas MacEwan, her children Joanne (Dennis Conrad), Elspeth (Maureen Kellerman), Eleanor (Gordon Weibe) and James (Gwen Allison), and her eight grandchildren: Laura, Grace, Michael, Rachel, Alison, Jack, Stephen and Sarah, and her brother John Turner-Bone. She is predeceased by her sister Margaret Turner Watt. Elizabeth was born in Ottawa and raised in Montreal. She married and taught kindergarten until she had her children. Elizabeth dedicated countless hours to her community. She served the Council of Women of Winnipeg, Provincial Council of Women of Manitoba and The National Council of Women of Canada, as well as The Girl Guides of Canada, McGill Graduates Society - Manitoba Branch and The YWCA and Worship Committee of Westworth United Church. Her husband's radiology career prospered with her enduring support. With Douglas, Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, sailing, skiing and supporting Manitoba's performing arts. The interment will be held in the spring at the MacEwan family plot, in Martintown, Ontario.
