BURROWS, Gordon James - Peacefully, at the Barrie Memorial Hospital, passed away on February 1, 2007 Mr. Gordon James Burrows aged 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy McGibbon. He leaves to mourn his children Reg (Lynne), Sandra (David), Judith and Gordon, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, his brother Russell (Eileen), also many relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Zion United Church in Dundee. Burial at a later date. CROMB, Mary (nee Schweitzer). Mary was born in Cana, Saskatchewan in 1909 and passed away peacefully at Bayview Centre on January 31, 2007. Predeceased by her loving husband Wally. She is survived by her sisters Elsie Stewart and Edith Johnston. The visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources, Dollard des Ormeaux (514-685-3344) on Tuesday, February 6 from 12 noon to 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. OBITUARY F/O WILLIAM ROSS BURTON WAY (August 25, 1921 - January 30, 2007) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ross on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at 7:15 p.m. He left us peacefully, after suffering from the mind-deteriorating disease known as Alzheimers, at the Residence Desjardins in St. Sauveur-des-Monts, at the age of eighty-five. VE2WY was an active amateur radio (Ham) hobbyist and he was placed at the top of the DX Honor Roll for most countries contacted by the DX Magazine using ham radio equipment. He was a good, loving Father and will be sadly missed by his cousin John Kendall, Sharon, MA., sister Gloria McKay of Yulee, FLA., brother-in-law Earle McKay of Yulee, FLA, son William Bruce Way of Morin Heights, QC., son John Robert Way of Warwick, RI., and granddaughter Amanda Sarah Way of Cranston, RI. Ross retired from Spar Aerospace Technologies after 35 years of service as a Contract Administrator. F/O Ross Way also served his country during WW II, enlisting voluntarily in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941. He achieved the rank of Flight Officer and was stationed at Croft in Northern Darlington, England with th 431 Iroquois Bomber Squadron. He received recommendations and honours during battle and completed a tour of duty flying 33 bombing missions over Germany. The viewing of Ross will be held on Monday, February 5, 2007 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex (1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont (514-279-6540). OBITUARY ORVILLE EDGAR WHITE Born September 10, 1916 Passed away on February 1, 2007 at the grand age of ninety years old. Beloved husband of Norma, to whom he has been married for the past 67 years; loving father to Boyd and Rick and father-in-law to Marilyn and Sandy; fondly remembered grandfather to Erika, Vanessa, Kimberly and David; and cherished great-grandfather to Connor, Darcy and Thatcher. Orville was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Dick just this past December. Orville pioneered industrial arts education in secondary schools in Montreal, Quebec, finishing his career as Principal of Richelieu Valley Collegiate High School in Quebec. Orville was also renowned as a master craftsman and the fine furniture he made throughout his life is an enduring legacy to his talent in this area. Retiring in 1973, he spent 34 wonderful years with Norma in Victoria, where he pursued his passion of sailing around the Cadboro and Oak Bay area. Friends are warmly welcomed to join Norma and the family at a memorial service at MCCALL BROS. Born in Breadalbane, PEI, she moved to Montreal where she worked in a war plant, then at Gillette's of Canada from 1945 to 1972 when she retired. In 1996 she moved to Vancouver with Katherine. GALPIN, Robert Ronald - In loving memory of Robert Ronald Galpin, formerly of Grand Bend, Ontario, who passed away quietly in Sudbury, Ontario on January 30, 2007 in his 81st year, after a brief illness. Loving son of the late Hubert and Ida (nee Tennent) Galpin, brother of Edward Tennent Galpin (predeceased). Bob was a devoted husband and loving father, who with his wife Helenjeane (nee Fotheringham), raised 3 successful children. Bob is survived by his wife Helenjeane, children Bob Jr. (wife Irene) of Orchard Park, NY, B. Jeane Galpin Falcioni (husband Robert) of Sudbury, and Penny Anne Galpin (husband Jim Breadon) of Vancouver, B.C., and 9 special grandchildren Michael Robert Galpin of Syracuse, NY, Matthew Christopher Galpin of Orchard park, NY, Aaron Robert Falcioni of Sudbury, Kristen Marie Falcioni of Peterborough, Bryan Michael, Christopher James, and Darren Taylor Falcioni, all of Sudbury, Ontario, and Carla Beth and Hannah Jeane Breadon of Vancouver, B.C. Bob was born in London, Ontario. His family moved to Sarnia in 1929, where he lived until he enrolled in Engineering Physics at the University of Toronto in 1945. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Infantry, until WWII ended, returning to complete his Bachelor of Applied Science, and was admitted to the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario. He joined the 7th Medium Regiment RCA (Reserve), commissioned to Lieutenant 1950-57. He spent 18 years in manufacturing at General Motors Diesel in London, Ontario, before moving to Ottawa, where he was promoted to the Director of Operations for Vehicle Safety and Energy, in the Department of Transport, until his retirement in 1986. He was actively involved with his family, and took great pride in the accomplishments of all of his children and grandchildren. Bob was a founding director and first President of the Stoneybrook Sports Association, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Anglican Church, Junior Achievement, and Southcott Pines committees. He was an accomplished sailor of his National Class sailboat. He also took special pride in the many trees he carefully planted around his home, and was always willing to share his planting techniques, occasionally taking a break to enjoy a round of golf. Bob will be missed dearly by his loving family. The family would welcome friends and relatives from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2007 and 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, at the JAMES A. HARRIS FUNERAL HOME, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, London, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. A reception will follow. Née à Saint-Antoine, elle était fille de feu Sylvain et de feu Anne (née LeBlanc) Gaudet. Elle laisse dans le deuil une fille, Dora (Anthony) Savoie de Néguac; deux fils: Walter (Starr) et Robert (Nadine), tous deux de Moncton; six petits-enfants: Joanne, Linda, Belinda, Lisa, Walter Jr et Terry; huit arrière-petits-enfants: Ashley, Courtney, Dominique, Jocelyne, Stefanie, William, Mathieu et Genevieve; une arrière-arrière-petite-fille, McKayla, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Son époux, Aubrey (1967); un fils, Edward; cinq soeurs: Marie, Sarah, Eva, Violette et Madelaine, ainsi que quatre frères: Georges, Albert, Arthur et Laurent, l'ont précédée dans la tombe. La salle la plus populaire des Laurentides. Ce fut le premier endroit ou Pierre Lalonde avait une émission de radio "CKJL" pour les jeunes en direct. Plusieurs artistes et chanteurs très bien connus et populaires y ont fait leur début. Mme Râtelle "Maman" comme plusieurs l'appelait et les enfants seraient enchantés de rencontrer toutes ces personnes afin de se remémorer de bons souvenirs.

PLOTNICK, Henry. Peacefully, in his ninety-fifth year, after a short illness, on Tuesday, February 15, 2005. Beloved husband of Sybil Steinberg Dobrin, and the late Gertrude Sibolsky. Devoted father and father-in-law of Stanley and Barbara, and Larry and Jane. Cherished grandfather of Laurie and Max Reim, Philip and Bonnie Plotnick; Michael and Joy Plotnick, Stephen and Susan Winikoff, Lisa and Jason Mars, and Nancy and Leon Zionts. Incomparable great-grandfather to Josh, Erin, Samantha, Matthew, Bailey and Jordana. Dear brother of the late Isidore Plotnick, and the late Edith Gerson. He will be remembered with love by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family is most grateful to Doctors Rubin Becker and Stuart Glaser for the very excellent and personal care given to Henry, and the incredible staff at the Jewish General Hospital, particularly those on 2 N.E. as well as his devoted caregivers. ROBINSON, Annie (nee Lorimer). 1924-2007. Passed away peacefully January 31, 2007 at Lasalle General Hospital in her eighty-second year. Predeceased by her beloved husband William James Robinson and great - granddaughter Chloe Katie-Ann. She is survived by her loving daughter Kathleen (Dominic Barbato), granddaughters Tara (Rafal), Tina (Kenny). Loving sisters Molly (Harry), Greta (Maurice), Isabelle (Tommy) and many nieces and nephews. GRAHAM, Clifford Elburn February 4, 1910 - January 30, 2007 Cliff will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years Eleanor (Norrish), daughter Janet, his son and daughter-in-law Bill and Sue, grandchildren Jim Pegg (Nanaimo), Karen Pegg (Vancouver), Kesta and Dayna Graham (Toronto), sister Orpha (Harvey) Fenton. Predeceased by brother Lyall (Grace) Graham. Cliff was a long time employee of RL Crain Ltd. Clifford and Eleanor spent many enjoyable years at the cottage on Rideau Lake and retirement in Florida.
