Elle laisse dans le deuil ses fils Gilles (Joanne Comfort), Daniel (Caroline Paré), Michel (Mylène Boudreault) et sa fille Joanne (Mario Rosa) ainsi que ses petits-enfants Karl, Alexandre (Mélanie), Stéphanie, Marc-Olivier (Alexia), Jean-Sébastien, Valérie (Pascal), Geneviève (Paul-André), Joëlle (Karl), feu Camille, Jasmine et Anaïs. Ses soeurs et frères, belles-soeurs et beaux-frères, ses nombreux amis et sa famille auront le souvenir impérissable d'une femme forte, dévouée, généreuse à l'optimisme inébranlable devant les défis les plus durs que la vie peut nous imposer. COMTOIS, O.P. Robert 1922 - 2006 À la Résidence Basile-Moreau, Montréal, dans la nuit du 8 au 9 décembre 2006, est décédé le Père Robert Comtois, dominicain. Il était âgé de 84 ans et 5 mois. Originaire de Québec, il était le fils de feu Jean Alfred Comtois et de feu Yvonne Martel. Entré chez les Dominicains en 1943, il a fait profession religieuse le 4 août 1944 et a été ordonné prêtre le 22 avril 1949. De 1952 à 1972, il fut professeur de philosophie sociale au Studium dominicain d'Ottawa et au Couvent St-Albert-le-Grand de Montréal. Il a été supérieur de plusieurs couvents: St-Vincent-Ferrier de Saint-Hyacinthe, St-Jean-Baptiste d'Ottawa, et les Saints Apôtres Pierre et Paul, à Lewiston, Maine. Il y exerça, en même temps un fructueux ministère. Le Père Comtois laisse dans le deuil, en plus de sa famille religieuse, ses soeurs: Claire (Jules Blanchet), Madeleine (feu Fernand Larose), Cécile (Maurice Marleau) et Monique (Louis Lehoux); ses belles-soeurs: Anne (feu Paul Comtois), Estelle (feu Jean-Charles Comtois) et Huguette (feu Gérard Comtois); sa nièce Céline Comtois et de nombreux autres neveux et nièces. CHANTER, Susanne (nee Cté) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Hamilton Sunday, December 10th, 2006 at the age of 54 years. Daughter of the late George and Marie Cté. Beloved wife of Douglas Chanter of Hamilton and of the late Leonard Brousseau, predeceased in 1999. Loving mother of Gregory George Brousseau of Hamilton and Vicky Lynn Kotab (John) of Sudbury. COLEMAN, Paul LeBaron Paul LeBaron Coleman, 51, of Kentville, Nova Scotia and Ottawa, passed away on December 7, 2006 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax on July 3, 1955, he was a son of Pearl (Harrington) Collins, Calgary and the late Ronald Coleman. He received his education at the University of Washington, graduating with a degree in Environmental Studies. He was employed with the Pan Canadian Oil Company in Calgary and later moved to Ottawa, where he worked in property management and maintenance. For the past year and a half, Paul has lived in Kentville and devoted his time to caring for his grandmother, Mrs. Jessie Coleman. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Jenna and her mother Susan Robbins, both of Brandon, Manitoba; two brothers, Gary (Jodi) Coleman, Sherwood Park, Alberta and Cameron Sarofen and his mother, Coralee Sarofen, both of Calgary, Alberta; his grandmother, Jessie Coleman, Kentville; his step father, Bill Collins, Calgary, Alberta; several cousins. There will be no visitation by family request. A funeral service followed by a reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2006 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend John McNally officiating. ROUSSEAU, Benoit Ben passed away peacefully on December 8, 2006, at 78 years of age, after a long battle with cancer, with family and friends at his side. Predeceased by his first wife, Pamela Chapman, Ben leaves to mourn his daughter Christine (Richard Leblanc), his wife Bernadine (Lauzon), grandchildren, Marc-Andre, Julie, Pierre-Luc, Robbie, Zachary, Nicholas, Jacob and Alexander. Ben is survived by his sisters, Marie, Agnes, Irene, Cecile, Alice, Adele and brothers, Omer, Mathieu, Henri as well as many nieces and nephews. Ben served in the Canadian Forces for over 20 years and was stationed in Marville, France for 4 years. In his healthier years Ben enjoyed, skiing, skating, and traveling. He was an avid gardener and spent a great deal of time making sure his flowers were just right. He was a member of various square dancing clubs for many years. Ben enjoyed being around people and he gave back to his community through various volunteer activities, in particular his time spent at the Shepherds of Good. Hope. His family takes comfort in the fact that his suffering is over and that he is now in a better place. SHEE, John Arthur The death of John Arthur Shee of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, December 8th, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on March 18th, 1925 in Quebec City, he was the husband of the late Edith (Graham) Shee. John served in the Canadian Navy for 25 years, serving as an officer on several ships and flew as an air navigator. He also served on NATO staff in Norfolk, VA. John was a member of the Fredericton Golden Club and a charter member of the Old Kootz Club. He was a worldwide traveler and a life long learner. TIPPINS, Albert Mark (Bert) March 27, 1936 - December 9, 2006 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bert on December 9, 2006 after a short intense battle with cancer. He leaves to join his beloved son Stephen who left us on August 5, 2003. Leaving behind to mourn and greatly miss him is his loved wife Lois (Cassidy), his very special daughter Sandra (Dean Cullen) and his dear mom-in-law Phyllis Cassidy. He was a very proud Grampa to Jordan and Haley Tippins and Ryan and Megan Cullen. Also missing him for lap comfort is Scamp and "his" Molly. Harry is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Marjorie; children, Bruce (Cheri), Brian (Louise), Les (Barb), Diane (Laverne), Barb (Warren), Rob (Elaine), Rod (Dawn) and Dave; eighteen grandchildren; one brother, Arthur (Elaine) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, infant daughter Donna and brother Raymond. CADMAN, Patricia Kathleen (nee Mathewson) 1938 - 2006 Patricia Cadman, beloved wife of Stanley Cadman of Calgary, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2006 at the age of 68 years. Besides her loving husband, Patricia is survived by her daughter Kathleen; son Michael; and grandson Shawn. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Aisenstat of Vancouver, BC; and nephews, David, Neil, and John. She will also be greatly missed by many more relatives, friends and neighbours. KUNZ, Beverley Ann 1946 - 2006 Beverley Ann Kunz (nee Blazosek) of Okotoks, AB, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2006. Bev was born in Banff, Alberta. She moved to Calgary and finally to Okotoks. Bev was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece and cousin. She could always bring a smile and her laugh was contagious. She had a gentle nature and a very soft spot in her heart for those in need. Bev battled many challenges in her life and still managed to find a happy thought, and look at the bright side. Her spirit will live with us and in our hearts she will be deeply missed. Bev will be welcomed to heaven by her parents, Robert and Helena Blazosek, and her granddaughter Julieanna Faith Coreman. Bev is survived by her sons, James (Cindy), Robbie (Cory), Kenneth; and her daughter, Anna (Ken) Coreman; and by her granddaughters, Michelle and Lindsey Kunz, Jordan, Tessa and Abbigale Kunz, and Megan and Ashley Coreman. McIVOR, Wilfrid Francis 1901 - 2006 Wilfrid Francis McIvor of Calgary, passed away at the Brentwood Care Centre on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the age of 105 years. Wilfrid was born in Calgary, N.W.T. (now Alberta). He resided in the Longview, Turner Valley area and spent many years working in northern Alberta. Wilfrid is survived by five sons, Bob (Dale), Dennis (Arlene), Terry (Ann), Wayne (Ruby) and Brian; four daughters, Sharon (Barry), Yvonne, Andrea (Bill) and Linda (Don); one sister, Helen Reimer of Edmonton and brother-in-law M. Austin of Calgary; eighteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Jean in 1999; two brothers Alphonse and Tom; four sisters, Anna, Kathleen, Clare, Isabel. QUADROS, Harold Francis 1924 - 2006 Harold Quadros passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2006 surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his loving imprint on the hearts of his beloved wife Rita Quadros; children, Linnet (Marshal) D'Sa and Calvin (Ruth) Quadros; grandchildren, Lauren D'Sa, Christopher Quadros and Steven Quadros, all of Calgary; also his sisters, Mavis Thompson of the USA and Ena (Gerry) Greve of Calgary and brother-in-law Arnold Saldanha of Calgary. Harold was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ogden Branch No. 154 and also the Ogden Seniors Club. WONG, Albert Yuk Chun Albert Yuk Chun Wong passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the age of 59 years, surrounded by his family and his close friends. Albert is lovingly remembered by his wife Cathy Tai Wai; his four children, Carol, Edmond, Grace and Mark, and sons-in-law, Patrick and Eric. Albert is also survived by his brothers, Dr. Yu Lin Hwang and John Yuk Lung Wong; and sisters, Hwang Yu Chen, Wong Yuk Fung; and predeceased by his sister Betty Dixon. Albert was very dedicated to his family. He was a Rotarian, a strong leader, and will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, generosity and caring nature.
