WELLS, WILLIAM THOMAS GEORGE - Unexpectedly, surrounded by his loving family, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB on September 29th, 2006, Mr. William Thomas George Wells, age 61, of St. George NB. Born in Saint John on May 7th, 1945, he was the son of the late Thomas and Elsie Wells. Bill is survived by his loving and much loved companion, Barb Rayner of St. George; his children, Vicki (Art) Wiggins of Edmonton AB, Stacey (Kevin) Wells of Blacks Harbour NB, Andrew (Kim) Wells also of Blacks Harbour; nine grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Matthew, Michelle, Sean, Janna, Mason, Kelly and Joseph; four sisters in Canada, three brothers and three sisters in Scotland. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister, Pat and one brother, Alex. Bill was employed with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for 37 years. He was known for his kind and generous heart, his sense of humor, his love of animals and his devotion to his family and friends. He was an avid hockey fan and he always looked forward to his trips down south. "Uncle Bill" leaves a huge void in many lives, which will never be filled. Visitation will take place at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB on Monday, October 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, at 11:00 am from St. Marks Anglican Church, St. George, with the Rev. David Genge officiating. FOSTER, FLORENCE - Victoria Foster, age 91, of Hartland, NB passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland. She was predeceased by her husband James in 1999. She is survived by her children, Joan (Gordon) Hallett of Lansdowne, Donna (Murray) Smith of Hartland, Dow (Donna) Foster of Somerville; nine grandchildren, Brian (Dixie) Hallett, Lynn (Jeff) Hatfield, Neil(Nancy) Hallett, Connie (John) Hovan, Dana (Jackie) Smith, Shelley (Brent) Clark, Pam Burnham, Kelly (Fabian) Poirier, Terry (Joanne) Foster; 22 great grandchildren; sister, Esther (Gilbert) Brown of Lower Brighton; nieces and nephews. Visitation was at the Britton Funeral Home, High Street, Hartland on Sunday afternoon and evening. RHYNO, CATHELENE MARY - It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Cathelene Mary (Sutton) Rhyno. She passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 27, 2006. Cathelene is survived by sons, Richard, William, Ronald, Danial and Randall Hebert; sisters, Isabel Finley (Kenneth), Marjorie Atcheson (Norman); nieces, Valerie Harrity (Tommy), Lori Hoben (Merle), Karen Foley (Nick); nephews, Robert Finley, Gary Atcheson (Jackie); and several grand nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Rhyno; and two sons, Thomas and Andrew Hebert. She was the daughter of the late Byrne and Greta (Logan) Sutton. Cathelene, better known as "Katie" will be remember for her kind and jolly nature. She was employed at Sobeys for a number of years, then at Simms Brush Factory for a number of years. Cathelene enjoyed playing cards and was an avid country music fan. She also liked to shop and her favorite thing to buy was earrings. Cathelene was a people person and was always the life of the gathering, she will be greatly missed. At Cathelene's request no visitation will be held. Mary Maynes HALIFAX, NB - Maynes, Mary Augusta- After 94 wonderful years shared with her family and friends - the family of Mary announce her passing on September 30, 2006 at Northwood Care in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In her final days Mary received visits from her family and friends and spent her time preparing us all for her passing. Mary was born on July 1, 1912 in Baie Verte, New Brunswick. The only child of Hattie and Henry Richardson she married Tom Maynes and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage prior to Tommy's death in 1993. Mary's life was accomplished as she graduated from the Ladies College at Mount Alison University and then ventured into business. Mary owned a hair salon and then a ladies clothing store, Mary's Dress Shop, in Sackville, New Brunswick. Mary was predeceased by her only child, Sharon Coates-Huffman and grandson, Mitchell Beal. She is survived by her granddaughter, Kim Slack and husband, Stephen Slack of Bridgewater; and grandson, Shawn Coates of Halifax. Mary's pride and joy were her great grandchildren, Brennen, Zachary, Mallory and Madison. Mary was surrounded by many friends and family whom she considered very special in her life included in this family was Randy Beal whom she considered her " little boy". Mary was active for many years as a golfer at the Amherst Golf and Country Club and the Sackville Golf and Country Club. In the winter months she curled with the several groups at the Sackville Curling Club. Mary volunteered at the Moncton Hospital for more than ten years working at the Pantry and in the Newborn Hearing Screening Program. Mary considered Sackville, New Brunswick her home . She also lived in Amherst, Nova Scotia and Moncton, New Brunswick. In 2002 Mary moved to Nova Scotia to live with her granddaughter, Kim and family. Wilfred T. Adams 1948-2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Wilfred Thomas Adams, son of Mildred and the late Thomas Adams, of Black River Bridge, passed away on arrival at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, early Saturday morning, September 30, 2006, at the age of 58. Born in Chatham, on August 30, 1948, he was the son of Mildred (MacDougall) and the late Thomas I. Adams. He was an industrial and diesel mechanic by trade. He was a member of St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Adams, of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi; one daughter, Charla Adams, of Kitchener, Ont.; one son, Rodi Adams, of Woodstock, Ont.; three sisters, Doris Taylor (Dawson), Black River Bridge, Vera James (David), of Miramichi, Della O'Neill (John), of Miramichi Bay; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Adams. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. She was born in Rybany, Czechoslovakia and married Miroslav “Mike“ Burian in 1970. Maria came to Sudbury in 1968 from Czechoslovakia. She had worked in the dietary staff at Pioneer Manor for 15 years, retiring last year due to illness. She enjoyed crafts and gardening. A real people person she will be remembered as strong willed, determined and always generous. Many observed she had been a saint on earth during her husband's illness in her attentive care and support. Maria was a loving and devoted mother. Beloved wife of Miroslav “Mike“ Burian predeceased 2003. Loving mother of John of Ottawa and Pavel of Sudbury. Dear sister of 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Sadly missed by relatives in Europe. Wallace Murray Kelly Sr. 1918 - 2006 Wallace Murray Kelly Sr. of Salisbury, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, October 09, 2006 at the age of 88 years. Born in Lutes Mountain, NB on January 31, 1918, he was the son of the late Elkanah and Lydia Jane (Lutes) Kelly. Retired from the diesel shop at the CNR after 33 years of service. He attended Salisbury Baptist Church and was a life member of the NB Princess Louise 8th Hussars Mike Reid Chapter Moncton. He was also a member of the Salisbury Legion Branch #31, and a member of the CN Pensioners Association. He is survived by daughter, Joan Crandall (Richard) of Riverview; three sons, Wallace M. Jr (Margaret) Kelly, Donald W. (Carolyn) Kelly all of Indian Mountain, Brian D. (Treva) of Salisbury NB; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Helen (Horsman) Kelly in 2000; three sisters, Tamer Hawkes, Elizabeth MacDonald, Melissa Newcomb; two brothers, Byron and Manning Kelly. She was born in Ukraine and married George Hasiuk in 1937 in Sudbury. A longtime Val Caron resident Vera came to the Sudbury area in 1934. She managed the family farm on her own for many years on which she loved caring for the cattle and chickens and harvesting wheat and vegetables. Her favourite activities included cooking large and delicious meals for her family. She had a quick wit and would surprise you with a joke when you would least expect it. Beloved husband of Hughena (McDonald) McInnes of Sudbury, father of Beverley Gerow-McPetrie (husband Allan), Margaret “Margie“ Woodgate (husband Rick), and David McInnes (wife Laurie) of Edmonton. A proud life resident of Sudbury, Dr. Jack McInnes was an internationally acclaimed surgeon. He was awarded the B.T. McGhie scholarship in psychiatry at graduation. He had been the Chief of Surgery at St. Joseph's and served as Vice-President of the International College of Surgeons (Canada). An accomplished athlete and avid sportsman he was a passionate canoeist. He received the silver medal for racing shells in 1931 at the British Empire Games (prelude to Commonwealth Games). He was the Canadian Jr. Tandem Champion in 1936. He played varsity hockey and football at the University of Western, and he was the last surviving member of Sudbury Wolves Memorial Cup Champion Hockey Team 1932. A keen outdoorsman with a special love of the Georgian Bay, French and Bad Rivers have extensive knowledge about local flora and fauna. SABOURIN, Lily Maria (nee Leppanen) - Peacefully Lily passed away on Wednesday, October 18th, 2006 in Toronto at Lakeside Long Term Care. Beloved mother of Paul Sabourin, David Sabourin (Nicola) and Mary Louise Ernst (Dan). Loving grandmother to Lauren, Jordan, Benjamin and Shelby. Survived by sister Helen Ellwood (N.S) and Leo Leppanen (Ont.). Predeceased by Olga & Niilo Leppanen (parents) and Roger Sabourin. Graduate of Orillia's Soldier Memorial Hospital, Lily worked for over 40 years as a registered nurse in the Sudbury area. She spent almost 20 years working as head nurse on nights at Pioneer Manor. An active community member, Lily volunteered for the CNIB, a member of the Ladies of Kaleva and a member of the United Church. Lily loved to read. She saw the goodness in people and always had time to share a smile and a word with others. Lily loved people and life. Those who knew her were touched by her kindness. She has earned her wings and is now a true angel.

Darlington, Doris Passed away on Monday, October 23rd, 2006 in her 96th year with her son Barry at her side. Doris was born in Little Hulton, Lancashire, England, where she was an entrepreneur and ran a number of businesses. After emigrating to Canada in 1957, she owned and operated a motel in Niagara Falls, then went on to work with a Brokerage office in Toronto. Doris was predeceased by her husband Herbert. Loving mother of Betty (nee Whittingham) Lancashire, England, and Barry. Survived by her daughter-in-law Kathleen, her grandchildren Ian, Geoffrey, Steven, Jason, and ten great-grandchildren. She loved to travel and vacationed in Sarasota, Florida in the winter months for 17 years. She also enjoyed summers at her cottage in Bancroft, Ontario.
