REED, Nora Gibson (nee) MacLean - Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday August 24th, 2006 at the tender age of 83 years in her home at Roberta Place. She leaves behind her daughter Beverley and husband Elvio Cavicchia, grandson Chris and wife Pina, granddaughter Kimberley and husband Tim Pellegrino, and great-grandchild Jade Rachel Cavicchia. Beloved sister of George and wife Dorothy MacLean and their son Bill and wife June. Nora will be missed by all her close family and friends. Nora Reed was married to the late Charles Edward Reed for 54 happy years. She spent most of her life in Toronto until retiring to Sandy Cove Acres in Barrie. The family holds many memories dear to them; Putting puzzles together, going on long walks, sipping hot chocolate and caring for her grandchildren and always having a smile on her face. Dans cette épreuve qu’ils ont traversée, la famille tient à remercier tout le personnel des soins à domicile du CLSC de Limoilou et plus particulièrement madame Jeannine Guérard qui était très appréciée de nos parents. Un très grand merci également à tout le personnel en soins palliatifs de l’hôpital Jeffery Hale qui ont été d’une attention et d’un professionnalisme exceptionnels envers nos parents. Masson, Origène M. ORIGÈNE MASSON Le mercredi 16 août 2006, est décédé Origène Masson, à l'âge de 68 ans. Fils de feu Charles-Henri Masson et de feue Adiana Bérubé, il laisse dans le deuil sa tendre épouse Colette Grenier et ses deux fils: Jean-François (Lise Levesque) et Pierre (Chantal Renaud). Il était le grand-papa adoré de Philippe, Christine, Caroline et Sophie. Il était aussi le grand frère de Donald (Lise Bélanger), Odette (Maurice Cabre), Ghislain (Suzanne Fiola), Michel (Doris Morin), Ginette (Réjean Choinière), Paul-Henri (Solange Matte); le beau-frère de Carmelle Brussières (Camille Blouin) et Charlotte Grenier. Il laisse également plusieurs cousins, cousines, neveux, nièces et amis. Un merci spécial à l'unité des soins intensifs du campus Civic de l'Hôpital d'Ottawa pour les bons soins reçus. Origène a fait du bénévolat pour le mouvement scout et aussi pour l'église Ste-Geneviève. GAMMON, William (Bill). Peacefully at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Alexandria, Ontario, on Tuesday, August 22, 2006. William (Bill) Magill Gammon (Master Mason, Victory Lodge #94) of Alexandria; age eighty-eight years. Beloved husband of Edwina Gammon (nee Tyers). Dear son of the late Robert Gammon and the late Margaret Magill. Predeceased by his only brother, Archie Gammon and he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria, Ontario (1-613-525-2772) on Thursday, August 24, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Alexandria United Church (Church on the Hill), Alexandria, Ontario, on Friday, August 25, 2006 at 10 a.m. Committal will follow at Rideau Memorial Gardens on Friday at 1:30 p.m. The family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Society. NOLAN, Michael F. (Sonny). Passed away peacefully at his residence on August 23, 2006 at the age of eighty-three years. Beloved husband of Margaret O'Neil and the late Audrey Asselin. Loving father of Michael (Dawn), Colleen, Murphy, Patrick, Marlene (Donald), Eddy (Mary), Karen, Timmy (Kathy), Tommy (Sonia) and the late Gail and Lorraine. Brother of Mary and Patrick (Ruby). Also survived by seventeen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Jean Pierre Villeneuve of the Verdun General Hospital for all of his care and compassion. Private funeral services will be held at a later date. BLOOMFIELD, Alice (Billie) - Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Harry Bloomfield (1985). Loving mother of Brian and his wife Susan of New Dundee, Ontario, and Bill of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Grandmother of Mark (Tina), Todd (Kimberly), Nicole and Benjamin. Loving great grandmother to Andrew, Alexandra and Hannah. Dear sister of Ethel White, and Verna and her husband Fred Rost, all of White Rock, B.C., and dear friend of Diana and John Mathany of Wallaceburg. At Alice's request, there will be no services.
