BRADLEY MELOCHE, Pierrette 1929-2006 À Rigaud, le 15 avril 2006, à l'âge de 76 ans, est décédée Pierrette Meloche, épouse de feu Raymond Bradley. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Yvon (Mélanie) et Sylvie (Mario), ses petis-enfants Stéphanie (Yannick) et Zackary, ses frères, sa soeur, ses neveux et nièces ainsi que de nombreux parents et amis. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of John "Jack" and Helen (Palmer) Smith of Gagetown, NB. Don was employed with Household Movers, retiring in 1999. Evelyn Margaret MacKay MONCTON, N.B. - Evelyn Margaret MacKay passed away Friday, April 21, 2006, after a lengthy illness. Born in Trenton, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Allen and Annie MacDonald. Ev leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Donald B. MacKay of Riverview, N.B.; two daughters, Lyn MacKay, Toronto, ON., and Kathy (Greg) Works, Yellowknife, NT.; three grandchildren, Emily, Maggie and Jack Works, all of Yellowknife, NT; two sisters, Eileen (Bill) Dudka and Teresa (Ray) Gillis, both of Stellarton, N.S.; and several nieces and nephews. Prior to her illness, she was a member of the Beaver Curling Club, the Riverview Gyrettes, a volunteer at the Moncton Hospital, and the kind of friend a friend should be. The family would like to thank Paulette Wallace and the staff at Pro-Tem, past and present, for the amazing care Ev received. Mabel Oressa Tower 1919 - 2006 SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Mabel O. (Read) Tower, age 86, of Sackville, NB occurred on Sunday, April 23, 2006 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. Born on May 31, 1919, in Upper Rockport, NB, Mabel was the daughter of the late Ernest and Florence (Babcock) Read. She will be sadly missed by her son, Chester Tower; and daughter, Alberta (James) Harris all of Sackville, NB; one sister, Lillian Read; and brother, Rupert Read all of Sackville; four grandchildren, Jody (Monique) Tower of Petawawa, Ontario, Norma (Glen) Steeves, Matt (Natasha) Crossman all of Sackville, and Stacey (Regan) O'Day of St. Johns, NFLD; four great grandchildren, Samantha and Stirling Hall of Sackville, NB, Dominic Tower of Petawawa, Ontario and Cian O'Day of St. Johns, NFLD. She is also survived by four step-grandchildren, Herbert Tower, Anthony (Karen) Tower of Saskatchewan, Travis (Darya) Tower of Sackville, NB and Marie (Mike) Estabrooks of Ottawa, Ontario; four step-great grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Merrick and Kayla Tower. She was predeceased by her husband, Banford Tower in 1984; two sons, Vincent Tower in 1984 and Austin Tower in 1950; an infant daughter in 1960; stepson, Cedric Tower in 2004; step-grandson, James Tower and his wife Astrid Tower in 1992; and an infant sister, Jennie. MALONE, MARY (INIE) AGNES - Mrs. Mary (Inie) Agnes Malone of Norton, NB, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and friends, on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the age of 65. Mary was most proud of her role as a wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved and respected by many for her generous spirit, humility, compassion and sense of humor. Mary was born in Saint John, NB on May 9, 1940; she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Isabel (Kelly) Fournier and the beloved wife of the late James Daniel Malone who passed away in 1983. Mary is survived by her children; Christine Davis and her husband Ivan of Norton, Elaine Coldwell and her husband Martin of Orleans, ON, Thomas Malone and his wife Rebecca of Baltimore, Maryland and Donna Malone and her partner Diane Rowe of Dartmouth, NS, seven Grandchildren, Ben Davis, Jeffrey, Andrea and Nicholas Coldwell and Daniel, Patrick and Bobby Malone, her sisters; Theresa Fulton and her husband Gary of Sussex, Margaret Hoefnagels and her husband Joe Strathroy, ON, her brothers; James and his wife Eileen of Edmonton, Alberta, Alfred and Veronica Smith of Poodiac, Michael and his wife of Glenda of Bruderheim, Alberta, John and his wife Debbie of Poodiac, as well as several nieces and nephews. URQUHART, ROLAND B. - The death of Roland B. Urquhart, husband of Beatrice (Montford) occurred on April 22, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Kiersteadville, N.B. on March 23rd 1923., he was the son of Frederick and Edna (Crawford) Urquhart. He is survived by his wife Beatrice, daughter, Karen of Saint John, son Gary, Daughter-in-law, Ardis, grandson, Scott all of Rossland, BC. He is also survived by his brother, Alpheous of Moncton, NB and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Ruby, and seven brothers; Donald, Fraser, Medley, Marshall, Clarence, Harold and Cyril. Roland was co-owner of J&A McMillan Stationary Store and was extremely active in his community. He was a veteran and member of The Canadian Legion. He was an active member and held various positions in Lancaster Kiwanis, Luxor Masonic Temple and Shriner Railway Unit. WALLER, LEWIS R. (LEW) - The death of Lew Waller occurred on Wednesday April 19, 2006 after a brief illness in hospital in Pointe Claire, Que. He was in his 95th year. He is survived by a daughter Linda Kerrigan (Rick) and a son John Waller (Genevieve) all of Pointe Claire. Also surviving are his sister Josephine Pyzak (Edward) of San Jose, California, and a brother Leslie Waller (Ruth) of Saint John as well as four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen (Tippy) Coles of Saint John and brother Gilbert of Vancouver. For several years Lew was Physical Director of Y.M.C.A. in Saint John. Margaret McAndrew (née Beeley) June 24, 1922 - April 09, 2006 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) Born June 24, 1922 in Rotherham, England. Beloved mother to Heather and Kathleen, passed away peacefully with the grace and dignity she carried in life on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2006 in Whitehorse, YT. She leaves behind her daughter Heather (Denis) Bourbonnais; granddaughters Rhonda (Mike) Gagnon, Tamara (Tim) Kropp, Tiffaney Daniels, Elisabeth Christensen, Megan Christensen and very special adopted daughter Bodine; great-grandsons, Benjamin and Nicholas Gagnon and great-granddaughters, Taylor and Teagan Kropp. Margaret joins her husband, George Arthur McAndrew and daughter Kathleen Jean Christensen. Margaret served in the R.A.F. in England during World War II, driving live ammunition across England. She was also a member of the Vancouver Island War Brides. Son of the late William L. and of the late Ethel P. (nee Warrington) Dopson. Beloved husband of 61 years of Dorothy (nee McAdam) Dopson. Loving father of William (Helga) of Lively, Patrick (Pauline) of Hanmer, Michael (Yan) of Sudbury, Rick Riegert (Larry) of Brockville, Valerie Pakkala (Wayne) of Georgetown, Suzanne Dopson- Pitman of Copper Cliff, Holly Dopson (Vicki) of Merrickville. Lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren, his 3 step-grandchildren and his 5 great-grandchilden. Dear brother of William W. Dopson (Mabel) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his sister Joan CtT. Richard married the former Dorothy McAdam in 1943 in Sudbury. He was a veteran of the Second World War, a member and past president of the Copper Cliff Legion, branch 224, a past zone commander of the Legion and a past District Commander of the Legion. Richard was an avid reader and looked forward to his many visits to the Copper Cliff library. Following his retirement as a machinist with Inco after 40 years service, he became an avid golfer and enjoyed both his summers and winters golfing, especially golfing at the Holiday Golf Club in Panama City, Florida where he was awarded a life membership. LAROCQUE, Helene Diane - In loving memory of Helene Diane Larocque, 52 years of Sudbury, who passed away Thursday, April 20th, 2006 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. She was born in Espanola. Helene came to the Sudbury area in 1981 from Espanola. She was a Roman Catholic who attended St. Patrick's Church. Diane volunteered at Ecole St. Denis a while back and enjoyed having the company of the children. At home she did crossword puzzles and loved having her new puppy Lucky with her. She was a very dedicated mother and she would do anything to help others. She lived a great successful life and will be appreciated greatly by all who knew her for it. KELLY Frederick William (Fred) 1937 - 2006 Frederick (Fred) William Kelly of Calgary, passed away at the Tom Baker Cancer Clinic, with his wife and daughters by his side, on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the age of 69 years. Born on April 19, 1937 in Calgary, Fred lived in many places throughout his childhood, including: Black Diamond, AB, Guayaquil, Ecuador, and Talera, Peru. Fred's career as a petroleum engineer began after his graduation from Oklahoma University in 1959. He moved to Bakersfield, CA for fifteen months before returning to Calgary in 1960 to work for Richfield Oil. In 1967, he moved to Tripoli, Libya with Esso Resources, and returned back home to Calgary in 1970 when he took a position with Samedan Oil. Fred worked with Samedan for twenty years, in both Calgary and Ardmore, Oklahoma, and then with NAL Resources back in Calgary from 1990 to 2002. At the time of his passing, he was with the start-up company Signet Energy. Fred was a member of the Rotary Club of Calgary, the Pinebrook Golf Club, the Glencoe Club, and the Calgary Petroleum Club. He lived a very active and full life, and was an avid hiker, telemark skier, fisherman, downhill skier, snowboarder, bird watcher, hockey player, and all-around nature lover. He was a friend, mentor, and inspiration to many, and will be greatly missed. Fred is survived by his wife Virginia (Ginger); three daughters and sons-in-law, Janice Maxwell (Michael), Robin Abramski, and Shauna Joy (Chris); brother Robert (Bob); and five grandchildren. HADDAD, Victor Joseph With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Victor Joseph Haddad after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. OBITUARY STAINTON ANDREW CUNNINGHAM Formerly of Montreal, passed away on Sunday April 23, 2006 at home in Mississauga, at the age of eighty-two. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Cain) for fifty-four years. Loving father of Pat, Jim (Teresa) and Carol (Philip). Cherished grandfather of Erin, Devin, David and Daniel. Dear brother of Grant (Maude) and brother-in-law of Margaret (Guy). Will also be missed by extended family members Connie, Jeff, Rebecca and Timothy. Thanks to the many friends and caregivers who gave comfort and support. Throughout his life Andy was an active church and choir member, an avid historian, military modeller, museum curator, puzzle and game player extraordinaire with his grandchildren. He was a King Scout, Knight of Tamara and a veteran of World War II. Andy was involved with St. John the Divine, 1st Mount Bruno and Trinity Rosemount Scout groups, the Verdun Cadet Corp. and the Canadian Grenadier Guards. His involvement at Camp Tamaracouta was extensive - from his first two weeks at camp as a youth member in 1937, to becoming a Knight in Tamara in 1941, to working on staff in the 1940s following the war, to bringing up kids with 1st Mount Bruno Troop in the early 1960s and with the Trinity Rosemount Troop in the 1990s, and finally to working with the Red Moose Rover crew (2000-2005) in their work at restoring the Tamaracouta Chapel and rifle range. Remembered fondly by many as Mr. C. Captain Cunningham or simply as Andy. His greatest joy was spending summers at Beavens Lake with family and friends and being outdoors. His spirit lives on in his family, as does his love for Beavens Lake. Funeral Service will be held at Eden United Church, 3051 Battleford Road (at Winston Churchill), Mississauga, on Tuesday April 25, 2006 at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at the church at 10 a.m. Private cremation to follow. Shirley Gertrude Welsh (née Beech) July 06, 1935 - April 21, 2006 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) Suddenly on April 21, 2006, at the age of 70, our much beloved wife, mother and grandmother died at the Cowichan District Hospital. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, and is survived by her loving husband Norman Welsh, her children Nicholas (Joan) of Edmonton, Alberta; Jennifer (Stephane Legare) of Ottawa, Ontario; Christopher of Vancouver, British Columbia; and by four grandchildren who she loved deeply and will miss her, William and Katherine of Edmonton, Tatiana and Zachary of Ottawa. Shirley was born and raised in the east end of London by her mother after her father died at an early age. Like many children her age she was evacuated during the war, an experience that she remembered all of her life. Moving to Canada in the 1950’s, she sought and found the life she wanted for her family. Shirley loved music, the theatre and all of the many cats she cared for and were privileged to know her during her life. She truly believed that unless she heard some music and singing, you really weren’t having a good time. A memorial service will be held at Saint Michael and All Angels Church, 2858 Mill Road, Chemainus, BC on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 2:30 pm. Quatre demi-soeurs: Régina, Rosée, Anan et Delphine, ainsi que deux demi-frères: Tilmon et Stanislas, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. M. Goguen était membre du Club de l’âge d’or de Notre-Dame. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la salle mortuaire de l’église de Notre-Dame. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur de Notre-Dame, le mardi 25 avril, à 16h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. Heures de visites: le lundi 24 avril, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le mardi 25 avril, de 14h à 15h45. Dumont Hospital on Saturday, April 22, 2006 following a sudden illness. Born in Cocagne, NB on December 16, 1928, he was the son of the late Thomas Goguen and Emile Williams. He was a Carpenter by trade and attended Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Notre-Dame. He was a member of the Notre-Dame Golden Age Club. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Goguen; two daughters, Jocelyne Durepos (Renald) of Shediac and Paulette Robere (Mark) of Notre-Dame; three sons, André (Eleonore) of Dieppe, Rodrigue (Ascenta), Denis (Lise) both of Cocagne; one sister, Elisa LeBlanc (Edgar), of Notre-Dame; one half-sister, Ernestine LeBlanc of Cocagne; three brothers, Elphege (Florence) and Dismas (Raymonde) both of Cocagne, and Edgar (Rose) of Saint-Antoine; 13 grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four half-sisters, Régina, Rosée, Anan and Delphine; and two half-brothers, Tilmon and Stanislas. Resting at Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Notre-Dame with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Tuesday from 2 to 3:45pm. ARSENAULT, Edmond 1929-2006 De Brossard, le 22 avril 2006, à l'âge de 77 ans, est décédé Edmond Arsenault, époux de Mme Monique Gervais.
