MCKNIGHT, JUANITA C. Juanita C. McKnight, 31, of Irishtown, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, March 31, 2006 as the result of a pedestrian-car accident in Moncton on Thursday, March 30, 2006. Born in Moncton, Juanita was the daughter of Grant Davey of Irishtown and Carol-Ann (Beers) Davey-Gallant (Romeo) of Irishtown. Juanita was employed as a disc jockey with 92-3 FRED-FM in Fredericton and formerly with Rock 103, Moncton. Juanita attended Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church and was a graduate of Moncton High School and Atlantic Baptist University. She was a former member of McKee's Mills 4H Club and former Short Horn Lassie with the NB Short Horn Association (1991) and was a very active member of the Irishtown Boys and Girls Club. She was a former youth ambassador of Moncton and she presented a scroll desk to the then Governor General Honorable Ray Hnatyshyn. Juanita was very musical, she enjoyed playing the piano, writing and composing her own music and was a former member of the musical group Over Joy. An avid reader, she also loved to barbecue on the deck. Besides her parents, Juanita will be sadly missed by her husband, Brett and their 3 children, MacKenzie, Alex and Mikey; maternal grandparents, Ivan and Jean Beers of Irishtown, paternal grandmother, Dorothea (Dolly) Davey of Pictou, NS; sister, Tami Davey, Irishtown; brothers, Danny Davey (Cara) and Chris Davey (Angelina) both of Indian Mountain; one niece, Layne; one nephew, Hayden; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Monday, 2-4, 7-9pm. RANGER Daryl Stacy 1974 - 2006 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daryl, dearest loving husband of Janet (Gallant). Daryl passed away peacefully at the Agape Manor Hospice on Saturday, April 1, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. Daryl was born in Red Deer, Alberta and raised on a farm. He graduated from River Glen High School before attending Red Deer College. In 1996 Daryl moved to Calgary to study at the University of Calgary. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 1998 and completed his Chartered Accountant designation while working for Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP in Calgary. It was here that Daryl met his future wife Janet and developed many lifetime friendships. Daryl absolutely loved his family and friends. His passions included traveling, playing chess, and spending time with family and friends over a cup of coffee. Daryl was truly a wonderful person with a fabulous laugh and zest for life. He lived his life with such kindness, integrity and compassion that his spirit and love will live on in all who had the pleasure to know him. Daryl was dearly loved and will forever be missed by his parents Raymond (Evelyn) Ranger and June Ranger (Victor Scott); his brother Jason (Shawn) and their children, Makayla, Jordan and Dawson; his step-sisters, Melanie (John) Goosens and their family, Connor and Kory, and Malory Gessleman. He will also be remembered by his step-brothers, Mitch (Fonda) Gessleman and Levi Scott; his grandmother Elizabeth Brown; his mother and father-in-law, Vince and Dini Gallant; sister and brother-in-law, Danielle Gallant and Jean-Paul Gallant. Daryl was predeceased by his grandparents, Lanora and Gaston Ranger; and his grandfather Louis Rhine. Bernadette Drouin (21 juillet 1924- 31 mars 2006) Au Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, le 31 mars 2006 à l’âge de 81 ans, est décédée madame Bernadette Houle Drouin fille de feu Robert Houle et feu Marie Gagnon et demeurant à Canaan. Madame Drouin laisse dans le deuil sa fille : Claudette Marquis et son époux Gilles de Pittsburg, New Hamphire, son fils : Réjean Drouin et son épouse Marie-Andrée Huot de Québec, son frère Denis Houle et son épouse Lise d’Enfield, Connecticut, ses trois sœurs : Béatrice Laperle de St-Malo, Thérèse Grégoire de Coaticook et Cécile Pelletier et son épouse Henri-Louis de Vero Beach, Floride, six petits-enfants et 12 arrière-petits enfants ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines. Elle travailla également comme couturière pour la Manchester Manufacturing. Son dernier emploi fut au Coos County Nursing où elle travailla jusqu’à sa récente maladie. Elle aimait danser et chanter mais sa grande passion était de jouer au bingo. Elle restera dans la mémoire des gens pour son amour de la famille et de ses amis. Elle manquera à tous. Mère bien-aimée d'Alexandre et fille adorée de Suzanne et de feu Gérard Bastarache de St. John, N.B. Soeur de Ronald, Pauline (Gary), Patricia, Jocelyne et Paul, et tante de Rachel, Andrew, Matthew et Grant. Pendant plus de 30 ans, Rosemarie Bas-tarache a mené une brillante carrière de réalisatrice à la radio de Radio-Canada/ CBC, secteur musique. Elle a été l'instiga-trice de centaines d'événements musi-caux. Parmi ses projets, la série des Grands Concerts enregistrés à la salle Claude-Champagne de Montréal dans les années 80 aura permis de présenter aux auditeurs de nombreux artistes de calibre international. A titre de coordonnatrice de plusieurs concours musicaux et comme réalisatrice des séries Jeunes Artistes, elle a joué un rôle majeur dans la découver-teet le développement de toute une géné-ration de jeunes musiciens canadiens. HUNT Eva Lorraine Eva Lorraine Hunt, known as "Lorraine", "Mom", "Auntie Rainie", or "Nana" but to most of the world, as "Grandma", was born May 8, 1926 in Strome, Alberta and passed away in Calgary on March 30, 2006. She was predeceased by her husband Reuben George Hunt, mother Shirley Della Bleakney, father Arnold Bleakney, as well as her sister Helen Beryl Clark and her brother Gordon James Bleakney. She is survived by her sisters, Phyllis Doreen Pigott, Lorna Lucille Clark, and Gladys Geraldine Fontaine; and her brother Clifford Allan Bleakney and wife Julia Alice Bleakney; as well as her sister-in-law Sharon Mae Bleakney; and her brother-in-law Lorne Samuel Clark and wife Rosella Clark. She also leaves behind her three daughters and their husbands, Geri and Marty Trim, Mitch and Ron Ryant and Brenda and Phil Friesen; as well as nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren with another on the way; and a host of hockey buddies. A diehard Flames fan to the very end, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy. Although she spent most of her life in Calgary, among her best friends were those in the Yukon where she spent as much time as she could. She will be very missed. Rather than mourn the absence of the flame; let us celebrate how brightly it glowed. Michael A. Greenough Michael (Mike) A. Greenough, 50, of Moncton, and formerly of Windsor Junction, NS, passed away at his residence in Moncton surrounded by family members on Saturday, April 1, 2006, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Halifax, Mike was the son of Arthur and Doreen (Arnold) Greenough of Windsor Junction, NS. Mike was superintendent of Ellis Don Construction (1991). He was construction site superintendent on the building of the new Moncton City Hall, the Moncton Water Treatment Plant, the Moncton Fourplex Hockey Arena, the Moncton YMCA, the Villa du Repos and Famous Players Theaters in Moncton and across Canada. He also worked at various other job sites in Nova Scotia. Mike was an avid Nascar fan (Bill Elliott), he enjoyed sports, especially Montreal Canadians, Ford trucks, Mustang convertible cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Besides his parents, Mike will be sadly missed by his devoted and loving wife and best friend, Helen (Riley) (Davidson) Greenough, who gave him tremendous support, love and care during his battle with cancer; his sons, Michael and Steven Greenough, Bedford, NS; his girls, Nicole Davidson (Steve), Edmonton, AB, Tanya Davidson, Canmore, AB, Lynne-Marie, Katie and Allison Davidson of Moncton; "Riley" the dog; sister, Robyn Lyn Andrews (Rick), Upper Musquodoboit, NS. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick he was the son of Katherine (Price) and the late William Woodworth. Randall is survived by his three brothers, Gordon (Wendy), Timothy, and Shawn (Paula) all of Saint John, one sister Kim Snow and (Bobby) also of Saint John and several aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, one uncle, and his best friend John Taylor. Chris was affiliated with the Serenity Free Will Baptist Church, a life member of the Ladies Auxilliary Beaverbrook Branch #80, as well as a hairdresser operating her own business for over fourty years. Her main loves in her life were her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
