Au Foyer Richelieu de Sorel-Tracy, le 9 août 2004, est décédé à l'âge de 92 ans et 11 mois, M. Rodolphe St-Martin, époux de feue Gertrude Nadeau, demeurant à Sorel-Tracy et autrefois de Saint-Robert. M. Rodolphe St-Martin laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Réjean (Françoise Tessier), Jeannine (Edbert Lavoie) et Pierre (Diane Bonin); ses neuf petits-enfants et ses deux arrière-petits-enfants; sa sœur: Réjeanne; ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs de la famille Nadeau; ses neveux et nièces, ses parents et amis. Les funérailles ont eu lieu le mercredi 11 août, à 14 heures, en l'église Saint-Maxime, suivies de la crémation. CORNETT, Joan (nee Walker) – At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Saturday, August 14, 2004. She was 62. Survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Arthur Cornett and her children Karen Norgaard-Graversen (Thomas) and Scott Cornett (Amanda). Dear sister of Mark, Steven, Allan, Bert, Bobby and Richard all of Cornwall, Mary (Ron), Linda (Jack) of St. Andrews West, Terry (Judy), Kenny, Jimmy (Susan) all of Kingston, Arnold (Cathy) of Red Lake, Alberta, Yvonne (Ken) of Avonmore and Gary (Lorna) of Ingleside. Also survived by grandchildren, Kyle, Alexis, Austin, Jahred and Zachary. Wood, Duncan Mr. Duncan Angus Wood of Boulter Road, Murillo, passed away suddenly in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on Friday, August 13, 2004, with family at his side. Born, February 14, 1924 in Williamstown, Ontario he was raised on the farm with his siblings. In 1948 Duncan moved to Northern Ontario and married Lucy Goretzki, May 20th, 1950. He was a mechanic by trade and was employed by Godsel Equipment and retired as Branch Manager of Midwest Detroit Diesel in June of 1987. Duncan enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He was a hard working man all his life. He took great pride and pleasure in his home in the country, tending his land, splitting a little wood, spending time in their garden, driving his tractor, picking berries and potatoes. Duncan and Lucy would often travel to such places as Texas for the winter or visiting family and friends across the country. Dunc was well known in the community and never hesitated to give anyone a helping hand. Duncan will be sadly missed by Lucy, his wife of 54 years, daughters: Diana (Dan) Kay, Marsha (Jim) Hansen, Sharon (Richard) Czaczkowski; sons: Larry (Alexis), Eric (Tammy) & Allan; grandchildren: Paul, Charlene, & Sandra Kay, Jeremy Hansen, Ryan & Shaun Wood, Bryanne & Jonas Wood; brother, Hugh James (Barb) Wood; sisters: Ina Rodgers of Ottawa, Jean (Harold) Fisher of Guelph, Marguerite Wood of Cornwall and Bernadette (Bob) Millet of Newheartford, New York. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Daniel & Marcella Wood; brothers: Earl (WW 2), Patrick, John, Dan, and Steve. GOFENKO, George, 1934 - 2004 George Steven Gofenko passed away peacefully at the Foothills Medical Centre on Saturday, August 14, 2004 at the age of 70 years. George was predeceased by his parents; Steven and Sarah as well as his brothers John and Tom; and sisters Mary, Violet, Annie and Rose. Lovingly remembered by his wife Pearl of thirty-nine years; his four children; Deborah, Terry, Crystal and Billy; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters; Vera, Elanor and Eva. George was born on February 21, 1934 in Windsor, Ontario. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces at an early age, serving as an Infantryman in the Queen's Own Rifle Regiment and later with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry Regiment. During his twenty-five year career in the military, he saw service in Korea, Germany,Israel, and Cyprus. Following his retirement from the military, he joined the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires where he was employed for twenty years. FRANKHAM, Edith Mary 1923-2004 - At Cassellholme, North Bay on Monday, August 16th, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. Edith Mary (nee Wiggins), a long time Eldee resident, was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Charles Frankham who predeceased her on January 24th, 2004. Dear mother of Jessie Sinclair (Carson) of Bellevue, Nebraska, Harry (Francine) of North Bay, and Betty of Eldee. ORSINO, Antonio "Tony" In loving memory of Antonio "Tony" Orsino, 77 years of Sudbury who passed away Monday morning, August 16, 2004 at Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre. He was born in Castel Campagnano, Provincia Caserta, Italy. He married Anna (Marcuccio) in 1960 in Sudbury. Tony came to Sudbury in 1950 from Italy. He worked at the CPR for 35 years, retiring in 1985. A Roman Catholic he belonged to Christ the King Church. He was an avid gardener whose efforts produced bountiful harvests of fruits and vegetables. Antonio had a great affinity for the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing. He spent many happy times at his camp on Trout Lake. He will be remembered for his tremendous work ethic and committment to being a good provider to his loving family. DONALD (DON) EVERARD 1941 - 2004 Passed away at the Timmins and District Hospital on Sunday August 15, 2004 peacefully with family by his side at the age of 63 years. Don was born in Brandon, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his father Henry Everard in 1969, his mother Margaret Everard in 1987 and his sister Darlene Sherlock in 2002. Donnie is survived by his brothers and sisters Murray Everard of Timmins, Sharon (Edward) Bilodeau of Sarnia, Robert (Louise) Everard of South Porcupine and Linda(Marcel)Bertrand of Timmins, his brother-in-law James(Bud)Sherlock of Sault Ste. Marie and by his numerous nieces and nephews. Don's best pal was his pet Maurice "the cat". Funeral service will be held at 9 pm on Tuesday August 17, 2004 in the chapel of Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Young officiating. Theodora Savard (née Sutherland) Funeral arrangements by Desjardins Funeral Chapel THEODORA “DORA” SAVARD (Nee SUTHERLAND) After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with heartfelt sadness I announce the death of my beloved wife, Dora on August 15, 2004, at the age of 89 years. Her memory will be cherished by her husband Lucien, her daughter Florence and grandchildren Patsy (Damien), Gerry, Carol (Steve), Joanne and Marcel; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Misty and Olivia who all loved her dearly, and many others whose lives she touched. She was predeceased by her daughter Jeannette and survived by her twin brother Adelard. Dora was born in St. Adolphe, MB. At the age of 29, in LaBroquerie, MB, she met and fell in love with her husband of 58 years. In 1956 they moved to Winnipeg and raised their family. She lived her life as one of the finest hostess, welcoming everyone that came through her door and always made sure they never left with an empty stomach. Her biggest enjoyment was bowling, playing cards and Sunday drives with her husband. Dora was a fabulous wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and aunt. Her family was her biggest passion, always helping, listening, nurturing and tirelessly there for those she held so dear to her heart. She lived her whole life unselfishly, being concerned for other people. Even her last days of living were no concern to her but to the others who visited her at her side. Her integrity and pride will not be forgotten. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2004, at the Précieux-Sang Roman Catholic Church, 200 Kenny Street. Viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
