Regina, SK- PELLETIER_It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Adolph Joseph Pelletier, late of Regina, Sask. at the age of 61 years. He was born on May 5, 1943 and died July 5, 2004. He was predeceased by his grandparents Margaret Kinequon, John Strongarm, Baptiste Pelletier and Katherine Desjarlais; father Maurice Pelletier, mother Esther Mahingen, sister Rose Alma, brother Sidney, nephew Clarence and grandchild Albert Maurice Pelletier. He leaves behind brothers Johnny (Carol), Albert (Janet) and Eugene (Annette); sisters Elsie (Howard) and Alvina; sons and daughters; uncle Gilbert Pelletier; cousin Dorothy Pelletier; special girls Cheyenne and Kiera, numerous nephews and nieces and two of his close friends Ken Partridge and Ken Kenway. TRIMBLE, Jeannette Marie - Born December 8, 1914. Passed away peacefully in the presence of her two loving daughters on July 6, 2004. Jeannette leaves behind her two daughters Judy Miller of Peterborough and Madeleine Cave of Bailey, Colorado. Dear sister of Jeannine Pearce of Regina. Cherished grandmother of four loving grandchildren Andrew Miller (Joan), Tara (Miller) (Norman Scott), Meghan Cave and Joshua Cave. Loving great grandmother of Thomas Glenn, Sylvie-Ann, Amanda and Bradley. Jeannette was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas Howe Trimble and her loving son-in-law Glenn Miller. Born in River Hebert, she was a daughter of the late Lorong and Ina (Burbine) Melanson. Hazel loved fishing with her family in New Brunswick and in the Grand Marr Brook on the farm were she raised her family. She was devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. AYER, Albertina (Tina) (nee Alexander) Passed on, in complete peace with her Lord, while surrounded by her loving family on July 4, 2004 having just reached the age of 86 and following a short period of illness. Hers was a gentle, loving nature with the remarkable ability to attract and hold friendships in the various communities she lived in. She will be especially missed by family members: including her husband of 62 years George, her son John, daughter-in-law Kathie, and grandsons George, David and Steven all in Sudbury; her granddaughters Jennifer MacMillan in Vancouver and Christina Bigaloni in Italy; her sister Florence Martin in New Hampshire; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Hope Ayer in Missouri; and her sisters-in-law Carol McLurg in Ottawa and Janet Harwood in Montreal. In 1953, Tina passed through a life changing experience having had a spiritual encounter with the Lord. During the more than half century that followed she became an excellent student of the Word, either starting or participating in Bible study groups in a number of different communities. Her life was marked by love, and in return everyone loved her. May the Lord bless her richly. Philippians 1: 21; Revelation 21: 4. BELLAMY, Professor David Carleton University Peacefully at high noon on Monday, July 5, 2004, David Joseph Clair Bellamy, age 64, of Ottawa, joined his parents, Clara and Joseph Bellamy in Heaven, leaving behind his beloved wife, Anne, and his cherished son, Joey. David's love of people, books, planes, trains, ships, classical music and his faith guided him throughout his life. After graduating with honours from Glebe Collegiate, Carleton University and Queen's University, David taught at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston and for more than 25 years in the Department of Political Science at St. Patrick's College and Carleton University where he introduced courses on Defence Policy and Ontario Government. He enjoyed doing media interviews on various aspects of political policy and administration. David's favourite pastime was to sit at a picnic bench at the Rideau Locks at Carleton University talking to students. Kevin Lawrence Boudreau (Courchene) Lone Wolf It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Kevin Lawrence Courchene, aged 18 years on July 4, 2004. Filmena D’Ascanio April 28, 1929 - July 05, 2004 Peacefully on July 5, 2004, Filomena D’Ascanio, the beloved wife of the late Felice, at the age of 75 years, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. She will be sadly missed by her children, Leo (Sharon) D’ascanio, Anna (Gaetano) Raimondi and Antonella D’Ascanio (John Wishnowski); grandchildren Lisa (Sam), Michael, Laura, Sara; sister, Olimpia Guffei, Giovannina Notte, Anonietta Biondi; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Angela and Eugenio Cifelli and by her brother, Gaetano Cifelli. Filomena was born on April 28, 1929 in Castelpetroso, Italy. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Church. She was an active member of the community, enjoyed spending time visiting with her family and friends and passionately cultivating her little garden. Filomena worked for many years in the garment trade. Prayers will be said on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue. Donald William Lyall September 09, 1922 - June 30, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) Passed quietly away on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 surrounded by family. He was the youngest son of William Davies Lyall and Edith Loutit Lyall. He was predeceased by his parents, his oldest brother Alexander, his sisters Hazel Lyall and Florence Lyall. Donald is survived by his oldest sister Sybil Hindson, his children, sons Donald Alexander, Robert Gordon (Cathy), David William (Darlene) and Gregory Ian; daughter Alison (Gerry) Merlo; grandchildren Bradley, Jillian, Kelsey, Gordon (Chyla), Alison, Cassandra, Graeme, Valerie, Adam, great-grandson Jaiden; and many relatives in the N.W. She enjoyed singing and was very interested in art, specializing in "portraiture". She was an adherent of Full Gospel Church and New Life Christian Centre. Evelyn enjoyed Christian music and gave generously to several charities. Surviving are sister, Verna Goswell; niece, Kim (John) Stewart; grandniece, Séana and other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Patricia Leesinsky, Winnifred Marie Young, and Alvina Elizabeth Boutilier; brother, John Wilfred. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m.; funeral service will be Thursday, July 8, at 2 p.m., Rev. LECLAIR, BENOIT (BENNY) Benoit (Benny) LeClair of Lincoln and formerly of Nackawic and Dalhousie passed away July 5, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Eel River Crossing in 1920, he was a son of the late Napoleon and Virginie (Fournier) LeClair. Benny was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Southampton Branch 27, Royal Canadian Legion. He was a heavy equipment operator at Canadian International Paper for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty E. (Boyd) LeClair; a daughter, Lise Parent (Raymond), Campbellton; five sons, Gerald LeClair (Kathy), Thunder Bay, ON, Terry LeClair (Dorothy), Nackawic, David LeClair, Kamloops, BC, Ronnie LeClair, Thunder Bay, ON and Jamie LeClair (Deborah), Lincoln; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Armance Wilson, Woodstock and Leah Guitard, Hamilton, ON; two brothers, Omer LeClair, Dalhousie and Israel LeClair (Manie), Paisley, ON; several nieces and nephews. COMMANDEUR, Rene On July 3, 2004, Rene Commandeur of Mayerthorpe, AB passed away at home at the age of 82 years. Rene will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Alida (Alice); seven children and their families, Ina Patterson, Dorothy, Herman, Alice (Jamie) Service, Ted (Kris), Ray (Rhonda), Chris (Bonnie); son-in-law Ron; twenty-three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters and numerous other relatives in Canada and Holland. Predeceased by daughter, Trudy Bucharsky (2000); one grandson, his parents, three brothers and one sister. Rene was born in Holland on August 23, 1921. He married Alida Poland and immigrated to Canada in June of 1947, ten days after their wedding. Most important to Rene was his family and his faith in God. He was blessed with being able to spend his life on his farm, raising his family, doing what he loved. ELLIOTT, Ian Donald. Peacefully, on July 4, 2004, in his seventy-sixth year in Knowlton, Ville de Lac Brome, Quebec, Canada. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. Born in London, England in 1928, Ian lived in Quebec from 1957 and for the past and best twenty years of his life, has called Knowlton his home. Beloved son of the late Lilian May Sawyer and Donald Ian Elliott (England). Ian was a graduate of the School of Architecture, City of Canterbury, and an Associate of The Royal Institute of British Architects (1953). He leaves Helene (Martijn), his devoted wife and friend of twenty-nine years, his three loving children, Sara, Mark and Elizabeth (Raymond) and his two adoring grandchildren Julia and Claire. Also left in England are his dear brother Bill (Margaret), his nieces Isabel and Ruth (John) and extended family. Ian will be fondly remembered for his kind heart, generous nature, love, laughter and a good story. He will be sadly missed by his family and those who had the privilege of knowing him.
