BERNARDIN, Albertine Louise, passed away peacefully January 3, 2004, aged 93 years. Predeceased by her husband Emmanuel and son Adelard. Albertine is survived by her loving family, daughter-in-law Irene Bernardin; daughters Viviane (Don) Mueller, Sylvia (Dan) Carlson, Irma (Gerry) Sjodin, and Diane (Denis) Brown; brother Leo Girard; sisters Jeanne Beaudin and Alice Tanguay; grandchildren Lucille, Michelle, Monique, Lori, Len, Michael, Jolene, Dawn, David, Carmen, Roger, Darren, and Devin; 22 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. BELANGER, Denise 80 years, passed away at Hotel Dieu Hospital, on January 3, 2004. Sadly missed by Roger Laliberte, son-in-law Perry Cullen, grandsons Bruce and Bradley. Predeceased by her parents-in-law Herbert F. Cox and Katherine "Kay" Cox. Dianne enjoyed her job as a program co-ordin ator for Douglas Heights Seniors Centre in Fort Erie and she spent over 15 years as a supervisor with the Red Cross. She was an active volunteer in her community with Meals on Wheels, Women of Wainfleet, The Wainfleet Strategic Planning Committee and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Dianne loved her art and photography classes with her sister in Haliburton. She attended Cinefest, Showboat Theatre and the Authors Series at Roselawn. She spent hours sketching, painting and capturing life's beauty in her photographs and artwork. As a Grandma she showered her grandchildren with unconditional love and she will be sadly missed by them. Dianne lived every moment of her life for those she loved, putting their needs ahead of her own. Married for 34 ye ars to her best friend Jim and "Super Mom" for 32 years to her daughters. She has touched the lives of many people in many ways and the world is a better place because she was in it. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Welland Hosp ital and Henderson Hospital. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday at the JAMES L. GUIDO, Saverio In loving memory of Saverio Guido, 81 years of Sudbury, who passed away Thursday evening, January 1, 2004 at the Extendicare York, Sudbury. He was born in Carolei, Cosenza, Italy, and married Luisa (Porco) in 1946 in Italy. Saverio came to Sudbury in 1951 from Italy. He was a well-known and liked Gatchell resident. A man of faith, he belonged to St. Anthony's Church. He worked at the Iron Ore Plant, retiring from INCO as a shift boss in 1985 with 28 years service. He was a life member of the Caruso Club. Saverio loved life, having many interests which included gardening, woodworking, playing bocce and cards, and wine making. An accomplished builder, he helped many with their home projects especially the construction of cement stairs for his neighbours and friends. Saverio was always quick to help others. He was devoted to his loving family in whom he took great pride and interest in their activities and accomplishments. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten, and his light will shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved him. Beloved husband of Luisa (Porco) Guido of Sudbury. Loving father of Anna (husband Gil Charette) of Sudbury, Lidia (husband Joe Fruchter) of Barrie, Rita (husband Cliff Koehler) and Joe (wife Heather) both of North Bay, Robert (wife Sandra) of Newmarket, and Franco of Sudbury. Born in Staples Settlement, NB, she was a member of the Women's Missionary Society; Ladies Aid and a member of Nashwaaksis Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Bernus; two sisters, Phyllis Houle (Kenneth) and Evangeline King (Sterling); three sisters-in-law Pearl, Jean and Mary; several nieces, nephews and cousins. SMITH, MARY GEORGIA After a lengthy illness, Mary Georgia Smith (nee Kelly), died January 4, 2004 at the age of 67 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She is survived by three daughters, Jill Blair (Dale), Kelly Smith and Kathryn Dyer (Ricky), all of McAdam; a son, Robin Smith of St. Stephen; eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Jerome, two sons, Peter and Patrick, one grandson, Jacob Smith and her parents, Leonard and Margaret (Miller) Kelly. Mary was born in Woostock and raised in Lower Southampton. Upon graduating from high school she studied nursing at the Victoria Public Hospital. She worked as a registered nurse for more than 30 years and became affectionately known as Dr. Mary by the many patients she tended to with compassion and love over the years. When in good health, Mary lived life to the fullest. She was at her happiest trekking through the woods searching for fiddleheads, dancing up a storm or immersing herself in a good book. Mary (also known by some as Kelly), was a wonderful person who will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Visiting hours will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Canada, McAdam on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the church on Tuesday, January 6, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev.
