Roy LeBlanc COLLEGE BRIDGE, NB - Roy LeBlanc passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at the Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital at the age of 88. Born in Breau Creek, he was the son of the late John LeBlanc and the late Marie LeBlanc. He was the operator of Roy Service Station that he worked until November 24, 2003. He is survived by one sister-in-law Irene LeBlanc and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Amilia and four brothers, Eric, Herve, Ernest and Allain. England of Saint John, two daughters Margaret Stewart and Katherine Rector both of Saint John. Dietrich: Edward Henry May 25, 1927 - December 25, 2003 Edward Henry Dietrich, aged 76 years, beloved husband of Jeanette Dietrich, passed away on December 25, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer. Edward was born on May 25, 1927 in Radville, Saskatchewan. He grew up in the Ricinus/Caroline area and worked hard helping his stepfather operated their sawmill and farm. Leaving home at a young age Edward was employed at various jobs such as, drag-line operator, farm labourer, truck driver, he worked at the Brass Foundary in Calgary and in 1951 he moved to Rockyford to work for the Municipal District of Serviceberry, building roads. In 1953 Edward married his soul mate Jeanette Hendricks in Rockyford and moved to Lomond and farmed there for three years. In February 1956 they moved to Rumsey where they farmed for 31 years and enjoyed living in a community where good friends, special memories and lasting friendships grew. In 1987 they sold the family farm and retired in Rumsey for 5 years and then later moved to Drumheller. With Edwards' love of farming still strong, he came out of retirement and farmed for Dan and Brian MacDermid for nine years. Edward was a talented musician and enjoyed playing old time music with his family and friends. He was a very resourceful man who enjoyed farming, carpentry, mechanics and was known as "Mr. Fix It". He had a fun loving personality and a heart warming smile that won over many. He was a very proud man who had a deep love for his family. Edward was predeceased by his parents, his three brothers, Robert, Lloyd and Louis Dietrich. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jeanette Dietrich; his son Gordon (Brenda) Dietrich; his daughters Diane (John) Celik, Darlene (Nicky) Sereda and Sharon Martin, all of Drumheller; his sisters Margaret Bikerton of Nanaimo, B.C. and Jean Forster of Calgary; sister-in-laws Katherine Dietrich of Kalispell, Montana, and Eileen Dietrich of Lomond; brother-in-law Norman (Mary) Hendricks of Strathmore; 14 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held a t The Church of the Nazarene in Drumheller on Wednesday, December 31 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Drumheller Hospital. Cyril Ratté of 20-2 McPherson Avenue, Kapuskasing, passed away Dec. 27, 2003 at his home. He was 55 years old. Mr. Ratté was born in Fauquier, Ontario on Dec. 13, 1948. (nee Cracknell) Tracy passed away peacefully with her loving family near, on Sunday, December 28, 2003 after a brave and hopeful fight against the sudden onset of cancer. She was 44. Tracy was a beautiful person in too many ways to summarize, but most especially as the loving wife of Eric and sweet mother of daughters Daly, 15 and Molly, 13 and son Nicholas, 19 and companion to Sheltie dog Scout. Born April 2, 1959, in Ottawa, Tracy will be remembered always for the happiness and verve with which she lived and the joy she brought to so many others. She will be loved forever by many, especially her devoted husband and children; her mother, Frances, of Ottawa and her late father, George; brother Randy and wife Gilberte of Toronto; sisters Debbie Gray and husband Bradley of Ottawa; and Cynthia Morris of Guelph; by Eric's seven brothers and sisters, and by the many cousins, nieces and nephews who so often enjoyed visits and vacations with her. Through Tracy, family and friends learned how to experience and appreciate road trips, power shopping, music, concerts, BBQs, Irish dancing (especially through the Butler Fearon School in Brampton and the Fay Healy School in Ottawa) and much else. She loved her life so much! Tracy was a dedicated medical professional, training in Respiratory Therapy at Algonquin College after attending Confederation high school, both in Ottawa. She worked at St. Joseph's and Women's College hospitals in Toronto, Queensway Carleton in Ottawa, Joseph Brant in Burlington and Halton Healthcare in Oakville and Milton. Tracy always strived to reinvent herself in her career; in addition to being a Registered Respiratory Therapist, she later also qualified as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer and Certified Asthma Educator. The family thanks the staff at Credit Valley and Halton Healthcare Oakville hospitals and St. Elizabeth homecare nurses for their care and compassion. Friends and family are invited to visit at Oakview Funeral Home, Oakville, on December 31 from 7 to 9 p.m. and January 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A celebration of Tracy's life will be held at Oakview on January 2 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation at a later date. LEVESQUE, Michel Rene (1950-2003)-C'est avec une profonde tristesse que la famille annonce le décès accidentel de Michel Rene Levesque le 24 décembre 2003. Fils bien-aimé de Murielle Levesque et feu Henri Levesque. Il laisse un héritage d'amour et de souvenirs précieux à son épouse, Noëlla, Janvier Lemaigre; les enfants qu'ils ont élevé ensemble: Shelley, Sheila, Mike, Sheryl; et les enfants a”nés de Noëlla: Bernadette (Ivan), Shirley (Gilbert), George, feu Douglas, Sharon (Gary) et Georgie. Il laisse aussi pour pleurer sa perte, son frère et meilleur ami, Gaston Levesque. Il y aura des visites de condoléances à la MAISON FUNÉRAIRE THÉORæT, le vendredi 2 janvier 2004, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h. La messe funéraire, présidée par Révérend Denis Savignac, aura lieu à la Paroisse Sacré Coeur à 11h, le samedi 3 janvier. WWII Veteran RCAF #441 Squadron, 6th Bomber Group Died December 28, 2003 at Lakeshore General Hospital at age 81. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Simone Wood of 54 years, and his four children Micheline (Barry Cullen), Christine, Robert (Ute Stoltz), Andre (Suzanne Pilote) and his two loving grandchildren Peter and Jamie. Coming from a military family, he served in and loved the RCAF. He was the youngest child of the late Col. Gustave Arthur Taschereau, MD and May O'Ryan of Quebec City and was predeceased by his seven siblings: sisters Stella (Roberge), Mita (Desjardins), Marcelle (Gaudry). Renee, Gabrielle, Lucille (Remillard) and brother Gustave (Lt. Col. DSO) The family will receive condolences at St. Veronica's Church, 1300 Carson, Dorval, one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 31. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or other Charity of your choice. Funeral entrusted to J.J. Cardinal.

MONCTON - À l’Hôpital régional Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont de Moncton, le dimanche 28 décembre 2003, à l’âge de 77 ans, est décédé Rosaire «Marty» Martel, domicilié à Moncton. Né le 27 mars 1926 à Montréal, il était fils de feu Armand Martel et de feu Agnès Huard. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Léoma (Robichaud); sa fille, Kim de Moncton; son fils, Pierre (Tammy) de Louisiane; deux petits-enfants: Brandon et Meghan; un frère, Marcel de Montréal, ainsi que deux neveux. La dépouille mortelle ne sera pas exposée. Les funérailles auront lieu en la cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption à Moncton, le vendredi 2 janvier, à 11h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire à Dieppe. À la demande de la famille, un don à la Fondation Hôpital Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont (oncologie) serait apprécié. A retired Realtor, Marty was pastpresident of Hildegarde Subdivision from 1975 to 1979. His team developed and sold 315 homes in Hildegarde. Husband 37 years to his loving wife Léoma (Robichaud) and is also survived by his daughter Kim at home; his son Pierre (Tammy) of Louisiana; grandchildren Brandon, Meghan and brother Marcel of Montréal; two nephews. The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday January 2, 2004 at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, St. Georges Street, Moncton. No visiting hours by request. GERARD (GERRY) DUPRE September 26, 1925-December 26, 2003 Peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital, Gerard left us to be with our Lord. Gerard was born in Delmas, SK, one of ten children. Gerard is survived by his wife Noel; son Roy; granddaughter Jessica; brothers, Andre and Jean Paul; and sisters, Marie Clark, Alice Chisholm, Teresa Cretien and Madelain Thompson. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother and two sisters. Gerry worked hard as a long shoreman at New Westminister's Frasier Docks and enjoyed working outdoors. He was a gentle soul that had difficulty saying no to anyone needing help in any way. Gerry was a very giving man and helped many people in his life without any expectations of being paid back. Gerry will be remembered as a kind and generous man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. McFarlane Marion Ruth McFarlane peacefully passed away in her favourite chair on December 22, 2003 at her residence. She was born on May 17, 1940 in Edmonton, Alberta. She is survived by her loving feline friends, Toby & Sweetie, her twin sister Marjorie McFarlane and numerous friends who have shared in her life, Rosemary Kilbourn, Nancy Alexander, Rev. Donna Kirkpatrick, Barb Wightman, her friends from St. John Sanctuary, and many students, who's lives were profoundly affected by this great lady. Her exceeding generosity was a pure gift from GOD. She will be fondly remembered for her adoration of cats. Often lovingly called "The Cat Angel". Marion taught through the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic School Board and will be remembered for her incredible gifts of humour and dedication. She was predeceased by her parents. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 29, 2003 at 1:30p.m. with those who loved her at Henderson's Funeral Home, Abbotsford, B.C. Rev. Donna Kirkpatrick officiating.
